I have gotten a few (4) days behind, as I keep my 3 yr. old grandson during the day and he is a handful, keeps me busy, non-stop, and so I just couldn't keep up. By time he goes home every evening I have to get the house tidied, do laundry, you know all the things I can't do whilst he is here. You amaze me with how much you can accomplish in a day! Keep on keeping on! You got this!!

So pretty your tea dyed curtain pocket😍 Love to watch how you made the journal cards with many pretty Little things. I also love Owls. A few years ago they were taking down Some big trees in our neighbourhood and on that day a big Owl sat in the biggest tree in our little back garden such a pretty one, hè sat there for Hours so we could take very nice photo’s of him. I also don’t Like the heat and love spring and autumn. Winter isn’t very cold over Here and we hardly get Snow but I don’t like the rain we had this winter…land…the whole spring ….and…half Summer long.😮 Now its a bit better but everyday a bit rain so we count the days its dry and we can eat and sit outside. Have a nice Holiday in August….we are going on holiday to Germany then. Oh and the smell of Mowed Grass is sooooo nice I agree. From our house we are looking over two big Fields that they are mowing every week….don’t Like the Noise but that smell❤ Big hugs Maia

Hi Mich, well here I am again after watching your creative video…another memory for me as when I lived in the UK when setting up our home I used to collect owl ornaments, I think they are so interesting. I no longer have the ornaments but I was delighted to hear that they are lucky. Certainly has been for me with my life’s journey, I have been blessed 🥰🌷❤️🌺

Mich I just love your July journal. I’m just back from a trip to Atlanta Georgia and boy was it hot. I am like you I don’t like much heat and I also got some nasty insect bites. I’m home now in Ireland and enjoy the more temperate climate. I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip isn’t nature just wonderful for inspiration and peace for the body and soul away from the everyday chores etc. I am in the process of trying to make the accordion journal. The affirmations are really sincere and a great way to keep it to the fore of your mind for the day. Thank you again for all the wonderful tuition.

Thanks Nan. When I tea dye I grab anything I can find. Paper, doilies, index cards, curtains, material. Chester runs for his life when he sees the tea dye pan come out. Lol. 😂

Mich, a great find with the Curtin! I'll have to start looking in the Curtin area when I go to scraping. Can you tell how you do your tea dying. I had an owl s few nights ago hooting in the middle of the night. Great sound. Don't hear them here hardly ever.
Wow that’s great to hear the owl. I’ve never heard one here in Halifax. For tea dying I take a roasting pan and put about 20 tea bags and probably about 2 litres of boiled water (I don’t measure this, just pour it in) . I just let it all steep until the water cools off. Sometimes I add more tea bags if I don’t think it’s dark enough or I add a bit of instant coffee. As I take out the bags I squeeze them. Then add whatever I’m dying. I throw some of the tea bags back in at random as I layer my items. I let it sit, sometimes over night. For drying I take the roaster outside and take the items out and place them on a table, over the deck rails, anywhere really until they are dry. You have to be careful not to rip the papers as they are fragile when wet. Hope that helps. 😊🌸
Lots of work for this page… 😊 the index cards are great as well. Taking an off the highway drive can add some interesting things to your experience. Have you hiked the trail by the information center when you reach Confederation Bridge? That’s a great place!
I have taken a walk down to the lighthouse and the hiking trail. That was quite a while ago. This year we have a cottage on Brackley Beach. We’re going to take the ferry there and back. It’s a shorter drive and we love being in the water 😊
@@michcrafty8664 That’s a great idea. We have taken the ferry over a couple of times but came back across the bridge because the ferry schedule didn’t work with ours. The island is one of our favourite destinations for our girls weekend road trips.

I'm using an old day book and my plan is to journal on the left side and collage on the right side. After encouragement from you, I have done a few collage pages. Some I really like but others not so much. It's difficult to get all of the prompts from DD but I'm hoping the next issue will fill in some of my blanks. Loving this and thank you heaps for helping me find an affordable Daphne's Diary and encouraging me to try collaging. So glad I found your channel☺☺☺ Rhonda
