It's mainly depends on the situations they put Jax in. And can "improve" story if they utilize him "properly". I've never like Jax as a character, but recognize he's fits into the circus. I just wish he was less of an ass and just a prankster.
The thing about Jax is that he’s taken being trapped in the circus in the worst way possible. He knows nothing he does has any form of consequence. He can’t seriously hurt any other members of the circus and he can’t be hurt by them unless he abstracts. And we’ve seen that he gains stimulation from seeing other people in distress so that’s never going to happen. He has weaponised his nihilism and that makes he really interesting.

Then again same teens try pretending to be hardcore and edgy for attention and probably think Jax is hurting inside like them 😂
Ragatha definitely deserves a video, she’s my favorite of the crew for just how nice and caring she is. She acts like the mom of the group especially for Pomni.
I imagine a future episode where she emotionally breaks down. Each of the characters have ways of coping with situation, Jax is nihilistic while Ragatha seems to try to be always optimistic but deep down just does it so everyone else doesn’t feel sad

Tumblr Sexy men usually bring in a lot of fans lol. Him being chaotic and straightforward with his personality, but also hiding a (probably) sad backstory is very interesting! They're hiding their true feelings deep down to keep a chill front :P
Also about the possibility about the NPC, I honestly don't think anyone is an NPC but if I had to pick, I agree that Kinger would be the NPC jus based on how frazzled he always is. Like he can't remember much of what he says himself, which could be him just having memory loss... BUT maybe this also could be his NPC character rebooting every-time someone asks him a question. As if to restart his character just in case he gives others too much info about the world.
@@mattevans4377 Maybe. I’m very interested in what they have planned for him. Him being the Oldest member of the cast and him supposedly being first makes it more interesting. If he’s a real person he’s been there a longggg time
I think he's a sociopath who only cares about himself, and him being sad at Kaufmo's death is him being scared of his own death, cause he wasn't like that when he abstracted, he had like a "oh well, gotta move it to it!" kinda feel to it. I think he's gonna play some sort of antagonist in the future of the series.
As someone who has no problem landing in various situations, realizing said situation, immediately understanding and adapting to said situation's environment, and not caring what tomorrow brings or what happened yesterday because I'm having too much fun now. Jax is my spirit animal.
@@Mistyfoot27 yeah it’s clear he does care about the others in own way. I feel like he just mainly does what he does because he knows there won’t be serious consequences (and it probably keeps him from abstracting)
I’m kinda sad that he won’t, Gooseworx has stated that Jax will get worse over the course of the show. Jax is also the one most deserving of being trapped in the circus also said by Gooseworx.
The irony is that there are now people that are upset with Jax since episode 2’s release, probably because they think his behavior in the episode killed their sexy man headcanons.
So, for me there are two possibilities for the Caine line about the NPCs. 1. That one of the characters are an NPC or 2. There will be an episode that Caine believes one of them to be an NPC I honestly believe that it's going to be number 2, a plot where an NPC disguises as one of the members or causes Caine to become paranoid, I don't think they would make someone from the show an NPC but it's a good set up for a Trial/Doppelganger plot line.
From what I recall as to what Gooseworx said, I’m interested with how worse Jax can get in the show later and see how it turns out later. Definitely a fun jerk character.
Honestly I’m a good fan of Jax, he’s not one of my absolute favorites but he’s a pretty good character. I’m always a fan of antagonist or morally ambiguous characters, the polar opposite to our heroic or positive main characters. That would likely go a long way in developing his character.

He may be my least favorite character mostly because by how he treats others. However, he is the most entertaining and most funny for me to watch. He make situations very chaotic and it makes the episode more memorable (imo), same with the pilot. I am intrigue to learn more about him since every character has a reason for why they act.
Honestly, Ajax reminds me a lot of Patches from dark souls, a seemingly normal person from first glance, but has a sadistic nature and keeps themselves alive by causing others pain
I would love to see Jax turn from an immature jerk (who i love) to someone still playful but more respectful of others boundaries. It's obvious that Jax picks on mostly Gangle because she has a hard time defending herself (especially with her emotional instability) and sees everything as a game but I don't think that's the full reason. I have a few theories for his behavior: Theory 1. Jax is jealous of her. Maybe her being able to show vulnerability and yet be so loved by other people is something Jax hates as he thinks he shouldn't or is unable to show that vulnerability because of how others would treat him. Theory 2. Jax thinks he's "protecting" Gangle. Maybe he sees his former self in Gangle or experienced trauma for/after being emotionally vulnerable, so by mistreating her he rationalizes that he's helping her not abstract and develops "thick skin." Theory 3: Jax thinks he's a burden to others and would cause more suffering if he were to abstract if people actually liked him. He acts like a jerk to others so people don't miss him when he's gone but secretly does have that desire for connection. Some people think him not showing up at Kaufmo's funeral is just because he feels bad about harrassing someone/caused him to abstract but I think it's more than that. I think how loving everyone was at Kaufmo's funeral made him upset, as they not only lost another member but that definitely won't be happening to him despite him thinking he "wants" that fate. This I think is the most likely because he's also 22, college age and in my eyes still a teen. Your teens to young adult years are when you see the most validation from others
You could added miss circle in the equation she a 9.8 foot tall white woman with bushy hair sharps teeth and cat like smug with her weapon attached hands also her entire appearance is made of paper just like paper Mario what people really liking about her is voice and her loving oreos the voice it from Google Japan translator and people kinda love it for some reason despite beings a literally serial killer / cannibal just like alastor but if you like to make a video about her just check out the fundamental paper education
Might just be my take, but main characters are often never the fan favourite. I haven't seen Steven Universe but Sasha, Marcy and Amity seem way more popular than their respective main characters
That is very true, but I would not say Jax is the main character, Pomni is, and saying Pomni is not really favorable to anyone could be true, or not. We just need to learn more about her
I dont think Jax in an NPC, Gooswoorx said in a tumblr post that Jax's first day in the circus did NOT go well, so he most likely just popped in like Pomni did, (Gooswoorx also said that Jax most likely picked his own name instead of him being given one)
Here are a few more reasons why people predict that he's an NPC: - Jax seems to be able to mysteriously pickpocket any key and knows how to unlock rooms. It could just be cartoon hijinks, but according to Ragatha's response to him in the episode when he pulled out the key, there was absolutely no way for him to be able to do that. - the official pin set includes backing cards that show the inside of all of the characters' rooms, except for Jax's. Instead the door is locked, his icon on the door is broken and it is ripped up with The Void. - while all of the other characters' are able to withstand being injured, Jax is the only one who can't. The one time in the show that he was injured - when Zooble strangled him in the pilot - he was unable to speak.
I have another theory about Jaxs , he could have being a lonely intern for C&A and a Putra of great ideas but is executives never took them seriously. That could be enough reason for Jax’s to be such a chaotic neutral in digital Circus.
I think the best way to develop Jax is that he’s still a jerk , but he dose allow himself to express how he feels to the crew. And maybe some pet the dog moments inbwgeeen Corse if they don’t do that I’m happy if he stays jerky
Jax is definitely among my top 3 favorite main characters in TADC (so, Gummigoo is excluded in this case.) I really hope he'll be redeemed in later episodes character-wise, but it's not likely. Also, I'd definitely buy Kinger a coffee. ☕️ Poor guy has been trapped the longest & deserves a break.
Jax is much more bloodthirsty in "Candy Carrier Chaos", totally willing to set a monster upon a whole kingdom and gleefully wanting to watch the carnage. Unlike Pomni, who has seen just how alive the NPCs can be, Jax probably treats the circus like it's an actual game, much like Grand Theft Auto. He sees no issue in harming NPCs in horrific ways because in his mind, they aren't real humans like him.
I feel like backstory reasons aren't going to come into the situation all that much, since no one can remember their human lives; if anything, I feel like the human characters are more so different sides/studies/aspects of human reactions to being trapped in a messed up situation. Kinger survives and persists at the cost of most of his sanity, Ragatha tries to remain positive and optimistic, Pomni ofc is the anxiety of this existential nightmare, Gangle just seems kinda defeatist and pessimistic, and ofc Jax is unable or unwilling to bring himself to care about anything because nothing seems to truly matter in this world to any meaningful degree, so he's primarily concerned with staving off his own boredom at anyone's expense (since at worst all he can truly do is annoy them). (And yes Zooble is there too but we haven't seen much of her in either episode yet lol. Seems like she's somewhere between Jax's apathy and Gangle's depressiveness, ig?
Pretty sure it was said by Goose (albeit pretty recently) that they can remember parts of their past lives. It's just their original names they can't remember.
Hm, I have heard that Jax will actually get worse as the Show goes on, so it’s going to be interesting to see what the general opinion of Jax will be by the end of the Season/Show.
Jax acts like a programmer slash playtester. Kingler is more a professor scientist type. Zooble is probably a graphic designer. The rest of the cast needs more watch time.
I am not on social media to argue or defend Jax, but i can say I'm not suprised. I saw Gooseworks say he was going to get worse and that he's the most deserving out of our main cast to be there. So, really, I'm just excited for more episodes, rather than hating on how Jax was WRITTEN to be from the beginning.

It's obvious that Jax picks on mostly Gangle because she has a hard time defending herself (especially with her emotional instability) and sees everything as a game but I don't think that's the full reason. I have a few theories for his behavior:
Theory 1. Jax is jealous of her. Maybe her being able to show vulnerability and yet be so loved by other people is something Jax hates as he thinks he shouldn't or is unable to show that vulnerability because of how others would treat him.
Theory 2. Jax thinks he's "protecting" Gangle. Maybe he sees his former self in Gangle or experienced trauma for/after being emotionally vulnerable, so by mistreating her he rationalizes that he's helping her not abstract and develops "thick skin."
Theory 3: Jax thinks he's a burden to others and would cause more suffering if he were to abstract if people actually liked him. Your teens to young adult years are when you see the most validation from others
i agree with theory 1
I like Jax
Real Chad's be enjoying the gummy g.o.a.t.: gummigoo ✊
We love him because he provides us all the misery it’s required for great humor
I like kinger, zooble, and jax
U gotta say JAX LOOKS SO HOTTTT I know I’m simping over a purple sarcastic rabbit😅
You could added miss circle in the equation she a 9.8 foot tall white woman with bushy hair sharps teeth and cat like smug with her weapon attached hands also her entire appearance is made of paper just like paper Mario what people really liking about her is voice and her loving oreos the voice it from Google Japan translator and people kinda love it for some reason despite beings a literally serial killer / cannibal just like alastor but if you like to make a video about her just check out the fundamental paper education
i think cane's remark is alluding to that he may have deleted an actual human in the past thinking it was an npc
I believe Ragatha is an NPC. The ‘figure’ Jax mentioned to Gangle could be her NPC model
Aside from Poppy the Performer, I feel like Jax was partly inspired by Raggedy Andy, Roger Rabbit, & Gorrister from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
Jax will never be what Wario has become 🙏🙏
Might just be my take, but main characters are often never the fan favourite. I haven't seen Steven Universe but Sasha, Marcy and Amity seem way more popular than their respective main characters
That is very true, but I would not say Jax is the main character, Pomni is, and saying Pomni is not really favorable to anyone could be true, or not. We just need to learn more about her
"Ooh,violence"
-Jax
I dont think Jax in an NPC, Gooswoorx said in a tumblr post that Jax's first day in the circus did NOT go well, so he most likely just popped in like Pomni did, (Gooswoorx also said that Jax most likely picked his own name instead of him being given one)
Here are a few more reasons why people predict that he's an NPC:
- Jax seems to be able to mysteriously pickpocket any key and knows how to unlock rooms.
That last one you didnt think about huh? Can you speak when your being strangled? Can anyone speak when their strangled?
That theory falls apart when in multiple posts, the creator told us that Jax is human
when you really think about it, jax acts kinda like jonah in episode 2
I have another theory about Jaxs , he could have being a lonely intern for C&A and a Putra of great ideas but is executives never took them seriously. That could be enough reason for Jax’s to be such a chaotic neutral in digital Circus.
Wait someone that is purple and has to do wif rabbits purple guy
I think the best way to develop Jax is that he’s still a jerk , but he dose allow himself to express how he feels to the crew. And maybe some pet the dog moments inbwgeeen
Corse if they don’t do that I’m happy if he stays jerky
Because not everything has to be apl sunshine and rainbows. What's a dynamic without some trouble?
I’ve Sean the allegorical essays! I know that Jax is LITERALLY Judas
Max makes me feel some kind of way
Jax is much more bloodthirsty in "Candy Carrier Chaos", totally willing to set a monster upon a whole kingdom and gleefully wanting to watch the carnage. Unlike Pomni, who has seen just how alive the NPCs can be, Jax probably treats the circus like it's an actual game, much like Grand Theft Auto. He sees no issue in harming NPCs in horrific ways because in his mind, they aren't real humans like him.
To VGMarkis: Was that clip from Seinfeld? 6:06
That 70's Show
@@vgmarkis But…… what 70’s Show?
0:00 got me bruh 😭😂
How to make a character the internet loves:
An actual chaos and trauma gremlin😃
If you ask me it makes sense to have at least one guy in a group of adults who are trapped in a children’s game who’s kind of a dick about it.
Hm, I have heard that Jax will actually get worse as the Show goes on, so it’s going to be interesting to see what the general opinion of Jax will be by the end of the Season/Show.
Jax, Jevil, And William Afton - Mmm yes murder and death = Good
Jax acts like a programmer slash playtester.
