The reason the robot vacuum didn't clean anything at all is because first they need to create a map of the room, and it was trying to do that, but since you put it on a table which has no walls, it just didn't know how to operate, tried to look for walls, but its sensors on the front didn't detect any wall. If you ever get a robot vacuum again in a package, film it on the ground, and once it finishes mapping the room and still has enough charge, trust me, it will start cleaning if it's not broken.
