THEY LITERALLY CHOSE 55 BECAUSE THEY DDNT WANT TO DISRESPECT THE DRAFT ORDER
Exactly. And they were threatening teams not to pick him at all. And if they had picked someone else 55th, they would still have signed him after went undrafted.
Bronny does NOT belongs in the NBA; welcome to NEPOTISM with Lebron James GM and NBA characteristics. I'm waiting for Ant Man to give Bronny his welcome to the NBA moment!!!
17 pts when your team gets beat by 58 points is a stretch cmon now, 17 shots to get 17 pts and how many of those points came in the last 4 minutes of the game ……..it’s odd the love he’s getting over guys like Quincy or even Knecht
The real reason they are scared to send bronny down to the g league is because those players play like there is no tomorrow and for most of them tomorrow isn’t guaranteed they don’t have a mansion to go home to or a 4 year deal they have a 1 year deal for 40-70k they aren’t good players but the drive the hustle and urgency is always there with bronny that urgency is just missing because his spot on the roster is guaranteed regardless of performance
@@renkane3086 He's not wrong though... 99.9% of the players in G League have better handles, better shooting and way better awareness than Bronny "My Daddy let me play in the NBA" James Bronny is an amateur playing against pros and not even a good amateur player... this kid would barely dominate a friendly tournament of his neighborhood... being in the NBA is a joke and a huge disrespect to people who have actually worked their whole lives to become the 55th pick and have a chance to play against the best... Sorry but if the NBA becomes a nepotist league where every star brings in his kid to play in it without even having basketball skills then the NBA is gonna be an even bigger joke than it is right now...
With the amount of sheer basketball talent that players have nowadays, it honestly doesn’t really matter who you draft anymore if you’re not drafting for a franchise player. Decent role players are a dime a dozen but narratives that fill the seats are much harder to come by. The pick isn’t great for the game of basketball because of what it represents but it’s great pick for the business of basketball.
Sit on a chair from anywhere inside the 3 point line and try to make 25 shots in a row while sitting in that chair. That's how to improve your jump shot substantially. Bronny should try that before every game.
17pts vs the very end of the bench for the Warriors😏 That's what he didn't mention, which is good for Bronny but vs NBA talent he was & is horrible. If James jr can do this in the regular season vs actual NBA players I'll be hella impressed but I'll wait
Bro, watch the game. Every bucket he put up against the Warriors was on a starter or a rotation player. The warriors have 3 open starter spots up for grabs that wiggins, melton, moody, podz, kuminga, hield are all battling for. The Warriors all were playing hard because of this. The lakers played their 3rd string only and Bronny and Quincy were by far the best 2 players for them. His numbers were valid in this game
@@Damdadda again, if he can do this in the regular season I'll be impressed. The is 1 game outta so many bad games Bronny. I didn't hate the kid for all LeBron fans who view my comment but I do hate LeBron Sr. I don't hold anything vs this kid but they hype him up & talk about him so much that I gotta hold him accountable in this game of basketball. Let me say this ONE MORE TIME, I hope he can do this in the regular season starting Tuesday, I'll wait but I think he's gonna look bad cuz that's the norm for him so far all summer until this point. This is all his dad's fault but maybe the kids will improve into a decent player but I'll wait😏
Either way Bronny was going to be drafted without Bron or with Bron’s intervention the warriors were going to pick Bronny at pick 54 which was a good fit for them a unselfish guard who plays great defense they passed on him because they wanted to respect lebrons wishes of playing with Bronny
its hard for fans to see the business behind big sports leagues. If they dont sell merch and tickets, nobody cares who wins the championship. If not $ is generated by the teams nobody would care. The opportunity to get a top1-5 player like LEBRON and his SON on the SAME TEAM is a once in a century type of Market. They have to tap into it, whether is succeeds or fails. If it fails oh well BUT if it wors out, they can sell the Idea of the best player and his son winning together for years to come.
Give the guy some time to develop. What everyone forgets is the one thing that made him a top recruit by national recruiting firms was the fact that he continually improved by a great deal each year in high school. He was projected as a top 15 pick entering college. He played well for team USA and in the McDonalds All American game. Regardless if you want to believe it or not, the cardiac arrest did delay his development in college (came back late and was on a mins restriction). Should he have stayed in school; maybe so. NBA teams draft on potential all the damn time; people act like they don't know this. He is being hyper scrutinized like a 1st rd pick, but damn, he was the 55th pick! Just look at the percentages of some of this year's draft picks...for example, Reed Sheppard is 2-12 from 3, isiah collier is shooting 24%, AJ Johnson is shooting 8 for 46 and 12 TOs and it goes on...not even going to talk about the 2nd rounders!!!! His performance against the warriors was decent and showed growth. His shot has good mechanics and the IQ is there. He has a 6'8" winspan and is 210 lbs. He will get reps in the G-league and will get better.
Whether it's with the Lakers or G League I think people forget that he damn near died and lost some time of development. I'll root for him as he tries to figure out the game at the pro level and if it doesn't work out he'll be like the overwhelming majority of players that don't get run time - except more famous
He's still not talented enough to be in the NBA, regardless if he had that heart problem or not. Having heart problems doesn't make your talent go away. It sucks, sure. And I wish him a healthy and happy life. But that doesn't mean he deserves to be in the NBA.
He was a mid level high school and a low level college hooper. You don't go to the NBA and try to develop into a pro. You have pro level skills before you get there. Bronny just doesn't have it.
This is a wildly misguided take. He was the 8th man on a horrible Ncaa team. Yeah he had heart issues but ypu don't come to the league to develop into a pro. He has 0 business being on the court.
BS. Bron himself was NBA ready at 17yrs old. NBA players are most of the time raw unpolished diamonds. Bronny is a glass shard, he can’t develop what isn’t there
Calling a guy a communist for being born lucky is crazy. Nepotism is likely what your intended word was but even then. The whole thing does make sense how it panning out so learn empathy he’s literally just taking advantage of the cards being dealt
You should compare Bronny to other rookes. Jalen Hood-Schifino is in his 2nd yr w Lakers. This preseason he scored 27 pts in 6 games/Bronny scored 25. Jalen got 19 mpg to Bronny's 14 mpg. Last yr in preseason Jalen as a rookie avg 3.5 ppg in preseason and shot FG 17.9% (Bronny avg 4.2 & shot FG 24.32%).
Feel bad for him. He should've stayed all four years in college and developed but his dad was so worried about being "on the court with my boy" than his sons future.
After everything brons done for the league, if you think it’s wrong for him to use a 15th spot at the end of the bench just like thanasis and that old guy that just retired from the heat, you’re delusional or just a hater🤷♂️end of story no one would even be able to name a 55th pick IN HISTORY without looking it up, mfs mad a 20 year old is making more money on the bench then they will in their lifetime 😭
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bronny got his 4-year guaranteed contract because of who his dad is. In the past 10 years, no 55th pick ever got a 4 year guaranteed contract on such mediocre performance. As a baseline, here’s a look at the 55th pick over the last 10 years: 2023 Isaiah Wong - 1 year, $1,862,265 Utah Jazz contract on Sep 27, 2024. Averaged 17.1 pts, 4.8 rebounds, & 2.4 assists per game at U of Miami. 2022 Gui Santos - A top G-league player for 1 year. Now, has 2-3 year contract, $5,143,017 contract w/ GSW, Nov 7, 2023. Played in Brasil, professionally before NBA. 2021 Aaron Wiggins - 4 year , $6,388,212 contract with OKC; $4,399,614 guaranteed. Averaged 11 points over 3 years at U of Maryland. 2020 Jay Scrubb - 2024 Celtics - bringing back Scrubb on an Exhibit 10 contract. Averaged 21.9 pts a game at John Logan College. 2019 - Kyle Guy - no longer in NBA. 2018 - Arnoldas Kulboka - now a Lithuanian professional basketball player 2017 - Nigel William - Gross - currently plays in Greece 2016 - Marcus Paige - no longer in the NBA 2015 - Cady Lalanne - plays professionally in Korea 2014 - Semaj Christon - plays professionally in Italy.
everyone hate the kid because he doesnt deserve anything he has right now. everything he has right now have been served to him on a silver platter just because he is the fucking son of lebron fucking james
So many haters praying on another persons downfall Couple of facts around that game 1) lakers lost by 60 points vs the STARTERS minus curry of GSW. Lakers played basically their 3rd string roster 2) Bronny had 17 points compared to JHS who was pick 1st Round pick 17 last year and cam reddish pick 4 years prior. They both had 6 points each. 3) like coop said, there wasn’t any definitive player that the Lakers could take at pick 55 that would’ve been crazy good. Lebron took a pay cut which effectively is like a payment for bronny joining the team for the Lakers. Don’t get me wrong there’s a lot of players better than bronny in the league and he did benefit from lebron being his dad but that benefit also comes with a lot of scrutiny and hate. hating just to hate is not cool.
@@getlikecoopI like your channel, but sorry, I feel that you lie saying that other teams wanted Bronny, when for the contrary, a lot of scouts were saying that he wasn’t NBA ready. He didn’t perform well in college, in fact, he performed awful. And if you are getting cooked is because a lot of people are seeing the same, Bronny is not NBA material.
@@sadsam3488 reports have said timberwolves and gsw among others were interested in bronny but opted not to cause of lebron. Bronny performed awful to others in college however college is different to nba. For one thing he wasn’t the focus of the team, he had other players in his team who were better than him at that point in time. A lot of players who play well in college don’t transition well in the nba and visa versa. At the end of the day, Lakers with the 55th pick was able to take a player who has some potential to be a decent role player, gives a good story to have the first father son duo in nba and Lakers are making money back through having him in roster through jersey and ticket sales. There is no player they could have taken that would have resulted in them getting so much better. Heck a lot of players have been given roster spots just for chemistry, why can’t you see the bronny draft as something like that? Did bronny play well in the preseason? No other than the last game. What is bronny asked to bring to the team? Defense. Have other higher picks struggled more than bronny? Yes but they aren’t scrutinised as badly.
@@ChemicalV3I read Suns were interested as well. Is he NBA material? No. Would another year in college make him that? Maybe. Should he have used LeBron's leverage to get into the NBA? Yes if he can take the hate, no if he can't. Staying in college for a 2nd year also has some risks. Now his "untapped potential" can be used as an excuse. If he plays like ass as a sophomore in college that excuse goes away. Additionally, getting drafted now eliminates the risk he wouldn't get drafted if his dad sustained a career ending injury this season. Did he "earn this" as JJ Redick said? No. Is his presence justified? Yes. The NBA is a business and dude is getting way more attention than any other 55th pick or player with his performance would. Buss family is one of the poorest ownership groups in the league, signing Bronny for business purposes makes alot of sense. Overall, I have zero issue with the pick or the contract. My only problem is Bronny is taking up a roster spot.
@@marcheezy. yeah you’re exactly right. The only issue is the roster spot but that is a product of Rob’s mistakes in giving player friendly contracts to players that no team wants
Lebron should've had Bronny training with CP3, Curry, and Kyrie. Those guys would've really help elevate Bronnys game. Even having Dell Curry Stephs dad help out too for 3pt shooting.
They say it's like ken and ken jr. Ken. Jr was actually good. This seems like LeBron is just some jerk forcing people to employ his kid. This is bizarre and shows how absurd the altar we pray to is.
Capping hard all over the place. Disgraceful. We are glorifying bad players because they are famous for no other reasons than their lineage and popularity. What a litany of excuses for a simple and obvious bust. Horrendous efficiency but you eanna give him credit for making certain shots. 7 for 17 in ANY test is considered failure. He had worse stats in college than a lot 2nd rounders in the draft and he still landed 55th for who his daddy is, nothing else. Casuals should place this same level of glazing and video making on the rest of the draft busts that are out on the other teams and bring up the exact same excuses.

@illchrisgaming you've never been bothering dumbass and you making similar opinions. Yeah, he didn't deserve to be drafted. He was 8th man for one of the worst teams in college! He wasn't a top 1000 player in the NCAA last year. He belongs nowhere near the NBA. Can;t let guys go at him with nothing to lose and everything to prove by hurting him ending his career. Gotta take in the league and get better. Yes do a Dalton video too. I wanna see your take on him.
Bronny studying Lonzo Ball? Really??? Lonzo Ball has one of the highest basketball IQs in the world, he has an insanely polished ball handle, a deadly 3pt shot, he's 3 inches taller than Bronny and he's a top 5 defender in the league when healthy... Lonzo Ball when healthy is the most underrated player in the league cause he makes his team so much better it's not even funny... the moment Lonzo got injured the Bulls went from a contender to a "nobody cares who we are" team... Bronny will NEVER become anything like that cause he doesn't have fundamentals, doesn't have a solid handle, doesn't have a solid shooting stroke, doesn't have any sort of basketball IQ and he's a godawful defender... you don't magically become a basketball prodigy at age 20... if at 20 you're at the level of Bronny you will NEVER play any professional basketball, PERIOD... he's just the son of a billionaire so he buys his way into playing in the NBA This kid would be a bad player in most low tier European professional leagues... not talking Euroleague, not even Eurocup (the tier below Euroleague)... I'm talking about leagues of low quality EU basketball like the Czech league or the Latvian league or some shit... he would barely be able to stand in the Greek league at a low tier team there and in Spain he would be out of the league mid season... Bronny doesn't have any talent... he's a very very amateur player who pretends to be a pro with daddy's money...
All imma say is. It’s weird that no one wants to talk about how a lot. And I mean a lot of people taken before him in the draft look way worse. Even someone he played with in college. Like it’s crazy how Bronny take all the hate. But he’s performing way better than guys taken in the first round even let alone the second
Bronny as a random named undrafted or even 55th pick isnt getting a roster spot. Hope he works his behind off in the minutes he gets to be a net positive. That hasn't happened yet even in this much improved game. YET.

The problem with him being 55 is it doesnt matter because his draft number is non existent.. regardless if he went first or second or 55th .. he was never supposed to be a pick .. thats the point.. people keep saying 55 .. NEWSFLASH .. THEY DECIDED TO DO 55.. THEY WOULD OF WENT 1 IF IT WASNT OBVIOUS .. BUT HEY LETS JUST DO 55.. HE WASNT ON THE VERGE OF NOT BEING DRAFTED.. THEY LITERALLY CHOSE 55 BECAUSE THEY DDNT WANT TO DISRESPECT THE DRAFT ORDER
Also no one cares about the 55th pick under normal circumstances
@@lolt-nb1ee under normal circumstances, 55th picks don’t get guaranteed 4yr deals on 7.9M.
Exactly. And they were threatening teams not to pick him at all. And if they had picked someone else 55th, they would still have signed him after went undrafted.
@@lolt-nb1ee because they don't get guaranteed contracts
Bronny does NOT belongs in the NBA; welcome to NEPOTISM with Lebron James GM and NBA characteristics. I'm waiting for Ant Man to give Bronny his welcome to the NBA moment!!!
Naw Bruh! This is filthy work 😂 Bronny straight cheeks 💯
What that make you a certified garbage man, bum ass guy. You a dam clown.
They lost by 58 points!! Stop it. He made 17 points off of 17 attempts. That’s not good, that’s trash. What drugs are you all doing? 😂😂😂😂😂
Bronny had 17 pts with 17 shot attempts GTFOH
Those guys in g league are all better than him.
@@taylor_m_237my goodness, you’re literally everywhere. Let it go kid, it’s not that deep. You’ll feel a lot better, trust me 😂😂😂😂

Bronny is an amateur playing against pros and not even a good amateur player... this kid would barely dominate a friendly tournament of his neighborhood... being in the NBA is a joke and a huge disrespect to people who have actually worked their whole lives to become the 55th pick and have a chance to play against the best...
Sorry but if the NBA becomes a nepotist league where every star brings in his kid to play in it without even having basketball skills then the NBA is gonna be an even bigger joke than it is right now...

“I might not of deserved this opportunity But I still got this opportunity”- Bronny James
LMAO GETLIKECOOP THAT SPACEJAM LOSING POWER WAS SAVAGE 🤣👌🏿
😂
its hard for fans to see the business behind big sports leagues.
I agree with you, like people say, “to get better at something, you must surround yourself with people better than you”
BS. Bron himself was NBA ready at 17yrs old. NBA players are most of the time raw unpolished diamonds. Bronny is a glass shard, he can’t develop what isn’t there
I will never feel bad for not believing in Bronny James. He's a case for communism. Thats the lesson we learned from Bronny James. Eat The Rich.

Love it, it means the Lakers will probably tank this year
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bronny got his 4-year guaranteed contract because of who his dad is. In the past 10 years, no 55th pick ever got a 4 year guaranteed contract on such mediocre performance. As a baseline, here’s a look at the 55th pick over the last 10 years:
2023
Isaiah Wong - 1 year, $1,862,265 Utah Jazz contract on Sep 27, 2024.
Averaged 17.1 pts, 4.8 rebounds, & 2.4 assists per game at U of Miami.
2022
Gui Santos - A top G-league player for 1 year. Now, has 2-3 year contract, $5,143,017 contract w/ GSW, Nov 7, 2023. Played in Brasil, professionally before NBA.
2021
Aaron Wiggins - 4 year , $6,388,212 contract with OKC; $4,399,614 guaranteed. Averaged 11 points over 3 years at U of Maryland.
2020
Jay Scrubb - 2024 Celtics - bringing back Scrubb on an Exhibit 10 contract. Averaged 21.9 pts a game at John Logan College.
2019 - Kyle Guy - no longer in NBA.
2018 - Arnoldas Kulboka - now a Lithuanian professional basketball player
2017 - Nigel William - Gross - currently plays in Greece
2016 - Marcus Paige - no longer in the NBA
2015 - Cady Lalanne - plays professionally in Korea
2014 - Semaj Christon - plays professionally in Italy.
Bronny just needs time in the G league there’s too much unnecessary hate rn
everyone hate the kid because he doesnt deserve anything he has right now. everything he has right now have been served to him on a silver platter just because he is the fucking son of lebron fucking james

6'3"? Try 6'1"
We need the Knecht video! Go Vols!
So many haters praying on another persons downfall
Couple of facts around that game
1) lakers lost by 60 points vs the STARTERS minus curry of GSW. Lakers played basically their 3rd string roster
2) Bronny had 17 points compared to JHS who was pick 1st Round pick 17 last year and cam reddish pick 4 years prior.
Thank you man 🤦🏽
I’m out here getting cooked for using basic logic when evaluating Bronny.

Acting like Bronny will play after LeBum retires is cap. He will never be good enough for the NBA.
Arenas obviously says things just for the reaction. His takes are usually trash. He was a pretty great hooper but I can't even stand looking at him.

what was the contract of those 2nd round picks ?
Bronny worse than me, and I don’t even play basketball, I should be in THE NBA.
7/17 = 41%
League average fg% for pgs last year = 45%

Bronny should study Brunson above all
Bronny studying Lonzo Ball?
Bronny will NEVER become anything like that cause he doesn't have fundamentals, doesn't have a solid handle, doesn't have a solid shooting stroke, doesn't have any sort of basketball IQ and he's a godawful defender... you don't magically become a basketball prodigy at age 20... if at 20 you're at the level of Bronny you will NEVER play any professional basketball, PERIOD... he's just the son of a billionaire so he buys his way into playing in the NBA
This kid would be a bad player in most low tier European professional leagues... not talking Euroleague, not even Eurocup (the tier below Euroleague)...
