McGlinchey and Staley were terrible tonight. Maybe they came back too soon. Couldn’t believe Sanders went down as well. Too many injuries to overcome
Shanahan and Jimmy sucked too. Going for it on 4th and 2. Not going for it on 4th and 1 in OT with a backup kicker. Kendrick Bourne and Goodwin looked like headless chickens. Everyone was bad and SF still had a kick to win it.
They couldn’t block anything tonight. Too much pressure and inconsistent hands all game. Watched the entire game we look phenomenal tbh. All those mistakes and we lost by a missing a field goal?? Guess we beat ourselves

kempfest... jimmy had that game won... backup kicker just missed it. Seattle needed every playmaker on the 49ers offense to get hurt and it still took them 8 minutes and 2-3 chances into overtime to win

Did yall watch the game!! He over threw a receiver and the pass was picked which lead to 3 points. He fumble when he should've just too a sack. Also, that lead to 7 points. By my calculations that's 10 points that Jimmy ain't a g gave to the Seahawks. So that mean we shouldn't have even went to overtime and should've won by 10 points.

We need better wide recievers for jimmy. It’s not all on him that we lost this game, our receivers were the crutch the hawks needed to win this game. Bring back Jordan Matthews and have him start some games. Deebo did good, Emmanuel did great when he was in, but Goodwin and kb’s performance was unacceptable.
Jordan Matthews is with the Eagles he got released when we aquired Sanders. Without Sanders and Kittle, we got some underdeveloped WR's and Staley's rust cost us a TD

That O-Line was getting manhandled like bowling pins and Joe Staley and Mike Mcglinchey we're getting ragdolled SMH. Receivers had a hard time of getting open and once Emmanuel Sanders went to the locker room I knew Hawks had this game in the bag! Without Kittle and Emmanuel Sanders there were no Reliable targets for Garrapolo. Jimmy also needs to not panic and force an Interception. Just take the sack and punt it and focus on the next drive! SMH turnovers screwed us over!

Samuel had his best game...though he did have one big drop...but Jimmy under threw him on a go route late when he had gotten a step on the DB and was open...one of the few deep shots they took...if Kittle and Sanders are healthy Samuel if a very solid 3rd option in my opinion...Bourne drops were the costliest of all..especially the one that turned into the INT and gave them another short field...

Dude is starting to get figured out. It's becoming more and more apparent the only throws he can make are the slant routes & throws to the running backs coming out of the flat. He's constantly late or floating intermediate passes, under throwing deep balls. Debo how to step on that deep Ball but Jimmy under through him and allowed Griffin to make a play on the ball. He needs to speed up his decision making stop holding on to the ball so long.

With Sanders out there we had like 108 yards and a td in the first 2 drives. Without him out and no Kittle, it was an incredible difference. Shows how little depth we have behind he and Kittle at we. D looks great!!!

I got faith in Jimmy. People say Jimmy was holding the ball too long but were the WR's getting open? I don't think Pettis can catch a cold unfortunately. He has had his chance to step up. Feel bad for sanders - we need him. Anyone who watched that knows it would have been different with kittle and sanders. I think Goodwin will play better and fits the scheme with kittle and sanders. The other guys can't beat man coverage or the jam off the line. Deebo will be okay.

Can’t blame him. Kittle was hurt Sanders left the Field with an injury our back up receivers couldn’t catch anything Stanley looked lost and played like a scared high school kid. But our Defense man they left there hearts on the field.
Plain & Simple-you cost us that game with you 2 fumbles. Learn to take off & gain yards with your legs. Alex & Colin both did that well.
NesDogg maybe if the WR’s did a better job of getting open and actually catching the ball or even the tackles holding their blocks could have definitely helped more. You seen the Arizona game right? when he steps up in the pocket facing pressure he delivers and tonight when he did deliver a lot of those balls were big drops. Don’t think him using his legs to gain yards will help at all that’s not the player he is
G Up Yea clowney was feasting but we’ve faced plenty of good lineman this season (Donald, Garrett), Staley and Mcglincey looked awful. I don’t think it was a good idea to let them play again in such a big game but honestly this was a good loss in my book

The offense cost us that game, wasn't just him. Yeah his int and fumbles, but also the injuries to key players left us with receivers with questionable hands, not to mention starting tackles playing hella Rusty. They all gotta step it up. Despite all that we didn't get blown out, should have won, but just gotta be better.
NesDogg in my opinion, it’s not necessarily all on his two fumbles, there were things the offense could clean up as a whole and the injuries really affected us. plus, I do think Jimmy scrambles a lot for a pocket passer, and the way he navigates the pocket is his own way of being mobile.
You gotta remember that Jimmy is only a year removed from the torn acl. Steve young mentioned recently that it takes two years for qbs coming off that injury to be able to drive the ball and get the full strength back in the knee. Also the receivers and o-line failed him badly and he was also missing his top two playmakers. No qb will look good under those circumstances.

Seahawks fan here. Niners still a solid team all round but need to start making smart plays and get less injuries. No point coming this far and not win the more crucial games ahead. They made this game difficult for us still with all the injuries they had. Respect ✊🏿

RK Belmont it’s still a loss and your team will has a tougher schedule ahead. Some of the tackles I saw yesterday were too risky for no reason. There’s always a smarter way to play and still win

In my opinion, it was a great game to watch but there were a lot of things to correct in terms of offense. I’m not trying to be a coach, but there were a couple things I noticed.
Of course, we had Kittle out and lost Sanders which sucked, but I thought our other receivers could’ve caught more balls, especially KB on Jimmy’s interception and a third down play later in the game. Deebo stepped up a lot though! Jimmy could have thrown a few better balls, but I understand that he didn’t have his two best weapons and he was rushed a lot because the O-line couldn’t contain Clowney very well. I was also kinda disappointed that he didn’t have any clutch plays in the fourth quarter or OT given how big of a step he took last week, but again that’s not all his fault. He looked a little rattled at the end, but Jimmy did have a few standout moments throughout the game. I have full faith that come next time, he’ll be prepared to fully clutch it out like we all know he can.
And of course the missed field goal to put us 9-0. It was unfortunate, but hey it happens. Defense balled out though despite losing Ronald Blair.
Overall, it’s a learning experience!! Better to lose now and learn from it than later in the playoffs lol. Let the Seahawks think they can beat us cause we’ll be ready next time!!

I think the problem here was that the tackles were rusty. They made Seattle’s DE’s, and especially clowney, look stellar. I’m not saying that clowney isn’t good, I’m saying that he shouldn’t’ve has that much of an impact on the pass game. Also, the hell was up with the receivers’ hands? With the last kick, yes, he initially got the laces but the punter was able to spin the ball in time to not affect the rhythm. I was watching the kicker prior to that last attempt and he looked nervous as hell. He had beat himself before the ball was even snapped. I can’t help but feel for the guy. First game signed with the niners and they make him go through that? Oh well. It was a great game. My heart was racing for most of the fourth quarter and overtime. I’d have rather lost to any other team, but the football gods giveth, and they taketh away.

Jimmy G needs to start running and take some yards in front of him when the plays break down especially when the O-line is crumbling on you. Shanahan needs to input read option for Jimmy, you can't keep him in the pocket if the O-line is getting crushed.

no, he didn't...he played awful and needs to be able to learn...not sure he even recognizes his flaws or limitations...he's been handed a kind of silver spoon ever since we got him...i know he acts like a leader, just not sure he really is one...so far, he's done okay, but he's not up to his salary level yet...he makes way too many reckless throws, panics under pressure and has zero touch on his passes...jerry rice used to say catching a joe montana pass was like hugging a bag of marshmallows or a soft giant pillow....he reminds me of kap in that he's too amped up and needs to slow the game down and see the field better...unlike kap, his pocket sense sucks and he doesn't escape before it collapses...not excusing the piss poor play of his receivers, but rarely does jimmy g. hit them in the chest...they're always having to reach out into space and that's a recipe for interceptions....

The Seahawks did almost nothing. The 49ers beat themselves with poor execution on offense. Also Clowney was tackling Jimmy G many times after he got rid of the ball and got no penalty.

I think people forget that despite Jimmy's age, he is still an inexperienced quarterback. When you lose your big offensive weapons and have to deal with dropped passes, weak O-line, strong opposing defenses, of course you aren't gonna perform the best but even considering that, Garoppolo still played well enough and put them in the position to win the game. The defense helped obviously but Jimmy held his own and he played his heart out. You can't win them all. I still believe that Jimmy is the guy and it can only get better from here

He's not good when the pressure was on, he got rattled and panicked didn't try to get off/ran out the pocket like Russell Wilson did to us.

Game was lost on mistakes, loss of key players, bad throws and Jimmy needs to be taught the 2 minute drill. He played behind Brady so that is something he should be able to run. Great game hard loss..
