That is why they used trumpets and drums to communicate on the battlefield in the old days. Partly they were very easy to hear over the noise, but they are also both very inspiring and persuasive. People don't mostly realize that drummer boys and trumpeters went t there just to accompany the soldiers with a soundtrack, they were the way the soldiers knew what maneuvers they were doing.

Ah, the trumpet ! The sound, when played properly, is clear like a flawless diamond. No wonder the angel hosts in the Bible play the trumpets, when they want to announce something important. Saxophone or flute just wouldn't do it. And Telemann is one of the best (I say "is" and not "was" on purpose, as the genius is timeless).
Incredible discovery, & in such spectacular performances! Pure joy, added to new knowledge (mine, at least) of wonderful composers hitherto overlooked. No "inflated Bravos" here - all deserved. Thanks to all.
