Just got home from work. A.I. OverLord UA-cam told me: Listen to this. It's 27 minutes old and uploaded. I obliged.. Wow. Great music. Loves trance. I wish you guys would release this on bandcamp. Beatport wants an extra $6.75 for wav files, and then all I get is wav files. I want to download it in multiple formats, and know for sure that I have access to it later in case something happens. Bandcamp is the way to go. I bought other releases from Iboga on Bandcamp very recently, I don't understand why this is not up on that site. I don't like Beatport, and only ever buy from them if there is no other option. Ugg.
If I go to buy the whole album as one release, $6.75 is the difference between MP3 and WAV. At least that's what it's showing me now. Anyway, I like to have the release available to download in more than one format which is something I really appreciate about Bandcamp. Saves me from having to convert it on my own. I use a USB drive with mostly MP3's of my whole psy collection in the car, I use other formats for different uses, etc.
I thought the price you mentioned was for a single file. bear in mind that although you are not fond of Beatport, many are, and it's the most common and most popular way to buy psytrance music nowadays. and after all that I can say that I understand your point totally.
Yeah, I get it. I just personally don't like Beatport. They take a higher percent of the money, are often overpriced, and charge a premium for WAV files. If I really like something and can't get it elsewhere, I'll suck it up and buy from them; but only if I have to. I've even ordered CD's through Bandcamp, and it comes with unlimited streaming and free downloads of whatever format I want. Come to think of it... I actually bought a psytrance cd off of Amazon recently for the same price as what Beatport wants after the WAV premium, and received a free MP3 version of the album immediately. LOL! :-) . Anyway... phenomenal album guys! I'll pick it up in a few days, even if I have to get it from Beatport. ;-)
