when I listened to it , I could feel groove and I fall in love with it , I love the 20s ;D and I am 14 years old , I am listening to every kind of music and thats one of my favourits ")
I started listening to my parent's 40's and 30's records back when everyone was listening to Beatles records, and then 70's music. They all thought I was very strange! Kept my love for it all these years. It's just great stuff. Now we have youtube, and I have access to more great songs than I ever imagined. The lyrics are so happy, and it makes me feel sunny and good. I still love it. If there is one thing I've learned over my life, it is to keep doing and loving what I value, not the fads.
Many thanks for this - what a treat to hear the Ted Wallace "Bottoms Up" for the first time! Vocal is by Smith Ballew. I'm so pleased these Ed Kirkeby recordings keep turning up on YT.
" with a kodak on my chest"...ha. great tune; there is another version i enjoy by waring's group. love the whole package of wonderful tunes. thank you for sharing. well, bottoms up and take care.
Selvin and Baur's "Shaking The Blues Away" is terrific. I did not like this song at all when I heard it in "Easter Parade" maybe because of Ann Miller, but here it is a different experience, and once again Baur shows his incredible versatility.
I’m a teenager and I’m obsessed with the 20s
Wonderful music. Feel good music that makes you smile.
