It never sat right with me how the Herreys had their own table and refreshments, when the rest of the contestants were all huddled together in a crowded green room.

Gosh the voting is so manic and explosive! Every country gives a high mark to a song near the bottom and a low mark to one of the leaders, can't see why most fans don't like it this way. Why be afraid of points scattering everywhere making things more unpredictable? Isn't it nice all countries scores double figures as well?

+Jack Walker Not really. If nobody scores low, how can anybody score high? Yugoslavia's 26 points would've carried them to around 15th in a normal year, not second-from-last. It's ridiculous that even the 10th placed song didn't even manage 40 points.

@@Euroviking86 Well, they still got a clear winner and a clear last place. Besides, I think I always preferred Yugoslavia's entry over Luxembourg's entry. So knowing that they were only 13 points between them softens the blow a bit for me.

This voting was ridiculous. So much scattering around of the votes, that even the second-last placer wound up with more than 20 points. The votes from Cyprus, Yugoslavia and Turkey in particular were very suspicious, looking as though they were exchanging points. And the Danish votes were quite terrible too.
