to me, any island is a 5-star island. the island is meant to represent you, not someone else's, which is what everyone seems to fail to realize. I had to realize this recently because I felt like my island wasn't living up to my own expectations because i always thought about what others think of it. I still do get inspired by other islands but I try my best not to replicate it. lol

Your island is really cute! More "simple" islands need recognition. A lot of full islands tend to feel overcrowded in my opinion, but I feel like your island is just right with balancing space. As my mom always says, "less is more"/"a little goes a long way"
This is honestly so humbling and makes me feel a lot better about my island too! I just reached 5 stars a bit ago (not sure how since mine is super basic). I tried aiming for a super natural, nature-like, tropical theming for mine so it's not intensely decked out like a lot of other people's. There's a lot of trees and flowers and foliage on mine. Yours is so cute and neat! It's not overwhelming or overbearing. Very nice! ❤
i think she was bothered that you can’t have the path only go to the shop door, you know if you play it doesn’t go perfect to the middle so you have to make a path on the sides too, idk how to explain it but yeah who knows what her reason was
I think this is what Nintendo had in mind. Literally this is the only 5 star island which I've seen online that I have liked. You can keeo playing the game without killing it in exchange for having a "prettier" island. Great! New sub!

Honestly I’m pretty sure the intent was to make the game designing mechanics with endless possibilities. That’s why they added in all those items.. to be used to your imagination. It’s your choice! If you want a pretty decked out island, do it, because you can. Or an empty natural island, do it, because you can. And that’s not really killing it if you want YOUR island to look the way YOU want it to. Not many games allow full customization options and a wide range of creativity and options, and freedom to make it to your liking.
For the most part, I kept my original island layout. I didn’t do a lot of terraforming, but regardless, I managed to get 5 stars through a lot of flowers & furniture.
your island actually gives me a lot of inspiration since sections are so distinctive to what they portray to me. The hiden section makes me want to make a hidden waterfall section with a diagonal river. (will take a lot of space so ill see). The blue fences at the more industrial side makes me think of using for the airport. other things inspired me too. But thanks. Liked and subbed!
I like that your island is natural and calm without tons of details that hurt your eyes. And also you have room to walk around with everything being busy and filled. I also like that you don’t have 10 million flowers on your island. What I do is that I see something I like on someone else’s island I simplify it a lot and I make it. This is super cute! Personally I'm using a lot of terraforming because I just really love having waterfalls haha but this is so so nice. Some of my personal favorite parts were Merengue's house and the secret area (super cool!). Also, I now HAVE to find that train set it's amazing.
Honestly I can relate to this so much. Playing a ton of sims has kinda given me some decorating skills but I just like messing around. I always see tours that are crazy and over the top and your island with it’s cute natural charm made it seem like you don’t have to be sleep deprived and go all out to achieve the five star rating
your island is the best because it looks like what most people's islands would look like if they spent enough time on them. Your creativity shines through and it makes your island unique without looking overwhelming! I keep looking at five star islands for ideas on how to get that last star and every single one of them are so complicated that they dont really tell you what you NEED to get the five star. You did such a wonderful job here!
From what I can tell the main thing (aside from planting more flowers) is to have some kind of furniture in every section of the island. Not sure how much in which sections but that is the main thing I see that seems somewhat helpful.
This is such a pretty island and good reminder that not everyone’s island is as over the top and perfect as most of the islands online. I was feeling really down about my island because of the way the media portrays that every island is perfect.
I've been feeling bad about my island because it's not like other peoples cottagecore and fairycore islands but knowing that other people have not super complete islands like those help me like my island more! Thanks for this video!
I absolutely love how beautifully simple your island is! I struggle every time I watch a content providers video because I think my island is not as good as theirs. I like simplicity as well. I'm OCD and the clutter on some of the islands that I was seeing makes me crazy. So my island is very simple straightforward laid out so you can navigate easily and I like it. Your island tour has made so happy. I achieved my five star island today and I too have kept it simple. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the fantastically complicated islands I’ve seen. My main goal when I restarted my island was to put in ramps and bridges to make running round the island easy and logical. Then I just went by what Isobel said to improve the island. Did minimum terraforming I just find it stressful. I was really happy with my basic island layout.
Every 5 star island is beautiful as it is your masterpeice & your artwork and its meant to represent you! Who cares if your island is basic or fully decked out, because its an art form and any art is beautiful :)
I love your island! Honestly many of the fully decked out islands I've seen feel overwhelming to me, so it's nice to know someone else also enjoys a more spacious, natural look. This is my first Animal Crossing game, and I can totally say that Animal Crossing is a game to escape your daily routine, enjoy a simulation of your "perfect and relaxed" life, and have fun. I totally got all of the previous watching your vid, since you showed us how happy and proud you are with your design and idea. I totally loved it.
I love that you still have some areas unfinished and you don’t have a completely “perfect” island before filming this tour... makes it seem more realistic because most people DONT have a complete island. And honestly you call it basic but this is by far my favorite island I’ve seen yet. Yea the fancy islands are gorgeous, but yours more accurately displays the type of island I’m going to have when I hit 5 stars. It’s cute!!!
I recently got really burned out after seeing so many over the top, flat out beautiful islands in this game. It kind of killed my enjoyment of it, but this helped me feel a lot better about mine! I haven't done much terraforming at all, but it takes forever and just isn't much fun. After seeing this, it actually feels okay to make my island how I want to. ^^

Great tour! Don’t worry about the waterfalls, they’re not that loud and we can hear you just fine. I appreciated this tour and it makes me want to redo my airport entrance. Right now I have a very country-core entrance with THE PATH, white and orange hyacinth, and pine trees. But I’d love to use my terraforming now that it’s unlocked, and move around some of my shops. Love the shopping courtyard vibes!

My island hit 5 stars Yesterday, It's called PotatoVill, and I would say it is Half Basic Half Cluttered/filled with furniture, I have my Plaza area when u come in, the Able Sisters, Nooks Cranny, The Museum, and Resident Services, A little custom- made Music Area with the floor of it (where the instruments are) being a Deck Custom Design I found on Pinterest, A fountain centre-piece thingie I found on Pinterest, My Ice Cream Stand, The Roads, and some extra Decor, Flowers, and a Pretty Bridge area (A cliff pattern I found on UA-cam with 1 waterfall and flowers on it). Next part of my island has my Rock Farm/Garden, My Shooting star Rock, My Rare Flower Gardens (Golden Roses, Lily Of The Valleys, and Blue Roses), My tree Garden, and me and my Alt account's houses, next part! (This part gave me my 5 star rating), My Villager Houses area, My Cute Cafe (Inspired by a cafe I saw on Pinterest) and my Campsite area (Also Inspired by a Campsite Area I saw on Pinterest). Then finally my beach, A little lounge area for me and my friends to use when they come to my island with Beach Chairs, Coconut Juices on Iron Tables (Cause They were easy to craft), Coconut Trees for shade, A Lifeguard Chair, A Hula Girl Thing, A Sandcastle, A Beach Ball, and a Fish Rack thing I got at a Fishing Tourney... So that's my island...
I really like this island. Sometimes its better to leave ur island more natural than to make it a full-on town with roads and things that look too city-ish. Great job :)

This is super cute! Personally I'm using a lot of terraforming because I just really love having waterfalls haha but this is so so nice. Some of my personal favorite parts were Merengue's house and the secret area (super cool!). Also, I now HAVE to find that train set it's amazing.
Honestly I can relate to this so much. Playing a ton of sims has kinda given me some decorating skills but I just like messing around. I always see tours that are crazy and over the top and your island with it’s cute natural charm made it seem like you don’t have to be sleep deprived and go all out to achieve the five star rating
your island is the best because it looks like what most people's islands would look like if they spent enough time on them. Your creativity shines through and it makes your island unique without looking overwhelming! I keep looking at five star islands for ideas on how to get that last star and every single one of them are so complicated that they dont really tell you what you NEED to get the five star. You did such a wonderful job here!
From what I can tell the main thing (aside from planting more flowers) is to have some kind of furniture in every section of the island. Not sure how much in which sections but that is the main thing I see that seems somewhat helpful.
This is such a pretty island and good reminder that not everyone’s island is as over the top and perfect as most of the islands online. I was feeling really down about my island because of the way the media portrays that every island is perfect.
I've been feeling bad about my island because it's not like other peoples cottagecore and fairycore islands but knowing that other people have not super complete islands like those help me like my island more! Thanks for this video!

I absolutely love how beautifully simple your island is! I struggle every time I watch a content providers video because I think my island is not as good as theirs. I like simplicity as well. I'm OCD and the clutter on some of the islands that I was seeing makes me crazy. So my island is very simple straightforward laid out so you can navigate easily and I like it. Thank you for being simplistic!
i really love to see simple islands like this. thank you for sharing! terraforming made me hate the game to the point i had to restart my island because everything just looked terrible and i tried too hard to do what others were doing. now i just want to make my island nice and simple and enjoy the game without pressure!!

Your island tour has made so happy. I achieved my five star island today and I too have kept it simple. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the fantastically complicated islands I’ve seen. My main goal when I restarted my island was to put in ramps and bridges to make running round the island easy and logical. Then I just went by what Isobel said to improve the island. Did minimum terraforming I just find it stressful. I was really happy with my basic island layout.

I love your island! Honestly many of the fully decked out islands I've seen feel overwhelming to me, so it's nice to know someone else also enjoys a more spacious, natural look. And like Marie Kondo's technique you filled your island with things or areas that bring you joy, which is what matters most. Thanks for the tour!
This is my first Animal Crossing game, and I can totally say that Animal Crossing is a game to escape your daily routine, enjoy a simulation of your "perfect and relaxed" life, and have fun. I totally got all of the previous watching your vid, since you showed us how happy and proud you are with your design and idea. I totally loved it.
I love that you still have some areas unfinished and you don’t have a completely “perfect” island before filming this tour... makes it seem more realistic because most people DONT have a complete island. And honestly you call it basic but this is by far my favorite island I’ve seen yet.
Yea the fancy islands are gorgeous, but yours more accurately displays the type of island I’m going to have when I hit 5 stars. It’s cute!!!
I recently got really burned out after seeing so many over the top, flat out beautiful islands in this game. It kind of killed my enjoyment of it, but this helped me feel a lot better about mine!
I haven't done much terraforming at all, but it takes forever and just isn't much fun. After seeing this, it actually feels okay to make my island how I want to. ^^

Great tour! Don’t worry about the waterfalls, they’re not that loud and we can hear you just fine. I appreciated this tour and it makes me want to redo my airport entrance. Right now I have a very country-core entrance with THE PATH, white and orange hyacinth, and pine trees. But I’d love to use my terraforming now that it’s unlocked, and move around some of my shops. Love the shopping courtyard vibes!

My island hit 5 stars Yesterday, It's called PotatoVill, and I would say it is Half Basic Half Cluttered/filled with furniture,
I have my Plaza area when u come in, the Able Sisters, Nooks Cranny, The Museum, and Resident Services, A little custom- made Music Area with the floor of it (where the instruments are) being a Deck Custom Design I found on Pinterest, A fountain centre-piece thingie I found on Pinterest, My Ice Cream Stand, The Roads, and some extra Decor, Flowers, and a Pretty Bridge area (A cliff pattern I found on UA-cam with 1 waterfall and flowers on it).
Next part of my island has my Rock Farm/Garden, My Shooting star Rock, My Rare Flower Gardens (Golden Roses, Lily Of The Valleys, and Blue Roses), My tree Garden, and me and my Alt account's houses,
next part! (This part gave me my 5 star rating), My Villager Houses area, My Cute Cafe (Inspired by a cafe I saw on Pinterest) and my Campsite area (Also Inspired by a Campsite Area I saw on Pinterest).
Then finally my beach, A little lounge area for me and my friends to use when they come to my island with Beach Chairs, Coconut Juices on Iron Tables (Cause They were easy to craft), Coconut Trees for shade, A Lifeguard Chair, A Hula Girl Thing, A Sandcastle, A Beach Ball, and a Fish Rack thing I got at a Fishing Tourney...
So that's my island...
