I am enjoying this series. So happy to see my favorites SM power protein and the Green beauty
Thanks love!
I loving this series of favorites!!! I'm glad you did a separate video of protein dc. It's very helpful! I do use a protein dc once a month. I also love the Camille rose protein dc. The smell doesn't bother me. I thought it smelled a little good 😅
Hey Elizabeth! Thanks so much. I am glad that you are enjoying the series. Maybe I got a batch of the Camille Rose with a bad smell lol. So need to get my hands on it again!
you know im here for your faves videos.
deep conditioner is my favorite step of wash day and i like protein, so this is a win-win-win for me 😁👍🏼😁
Thank you so much Healy. I am so happy you enjoyed the video love!
I’ve been wanting to try Green Beauty Real protein treatment
Hey love! I have actually not heard of Green Beauty. I will have to look in to it lol. Thanks so much for watching love!
NJ Eberhart It's liquid protein that you add to your protein-free deep conditioner.
Omg thank you so much! This really helped me find a new protein treatment, I love your hair!
Hey Elijah! I am glad that I could help love! And thank you so much!
Hi Nisha👋, I enjoyed this video. My hair is low porosity, but it loves protein. It looks like we use some of the same products, I have the Miche strengthening dc, Mielle babassu and mint dc, and the Camille Rose protein treatment. Girl the Sally's where I live has discontinued some Camille Rose products so I purchased both the protein and buriti nectar cholesterol treatments for $7 and the hair oils(nangai & tsubaki and buriti nectar) for $5. Needless to say I cleaned those shelves out!🤣 The Aphogee product currently in my stash is the curlific texture treatment. I heard good things about the TGIN and SM conditioners, but I don't have them yet. They sound like something I would try in the future. tfs
Hey love. Yeah I think all Sally's stopped selling the Around the World collection from Camille Rose. I was too slow and did not get a chance to get my Fav Protein Conditioner on sale. Thanks for watching love!
I loveee protein! the around the word collection was marked down in art of sallys! i had to bring them to the register and ask for the price. i cleaned my stores up of the collection( just the masks).
I am so jealous. Everything was gone by the time I realized that they had a sale. SMH lol
Thank you for the series Nish!!! I want to get my hands on that TGIn (protein) so bad. Keep missing the sales. And I love the Aphogee it does my curls so damn good! Lol.... Tfs💖
Hey Tammy! Thank you so much for the support! Ulta is having a sale, not the greatest sale but the products are BOGO 50% off.
@@NJEberhart Thank you Nish. I didn't even know that 💖
Great video 😍 I have most of the products you talked about. Sally Beauty having 30% off sale till February 29th 🤑 💆🏾♀️ I'm definitely getting Mielle Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner & Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Protein Power Treatment collection.
Hey Nichelle! Thanks so much for watching love! I'm def gonna pick up some pre poos during this sale. Everything else I need to chill on lol.
I wanted to know your thoughts on Camille Rose Naturals Algae Renew Deep Conditioner. Have you used this product before and would you do a video on it?
Thank goodness I left relaxers alone too
Lol yes Chiks! I hated the whole process lol.
Hate to say it but I have no idea whatsoever what my hair “needs” at any given time other than moisture. just to play the odds, my routine is 2 weeks of moisture-rich DC, one week clay wash, next week protein. Hair’s just dry, pretty sure that’s all it is at any given moment lol but I think this routine works well enough for me 👍🏽. I think I got the niche strengthen DC during the Black Friday but I haven’t used it yet. Looking forward to that one! Think my protein will be in 4 weeks from now cuz I’m doing 3 weeks moisture this cycle.
Hey Amanda! Yes at first I did the same and just added protein once a month, then I stopped and I noticed a little more breakage than normal and thats when I realized that my hair does need a little bit of protein. I feel like sometimes you don't know your hair need something until you go without it lol. but I totally feel you!
Your hair looks amazing and healthy.
Aww thank you so much love ☺️
Just recently came across your channel. Glad I did, great content! Thanks!!!
Aww thank you so much love. I am so happy you enjoy the content. Thanks for the support!
That SM one is bae. I tried it on a whim and was shook
Yes it is really good!
I'm kind of protein sensitive, so I have to be careful. I do a protein deep conditioner once a month. I also use rice water rinses every wash day, but I dillute it. I love shrinkage that the protein gives.
Hey Antonia! I totally understand. I normally use protein once a month or maybe twice a month. Not very often except for the few that I feel like aren't that strong of a protein DC. Thanks so much for watching love!
I love the TGIN CPR and the Miche strengthen. They’re some of my favorites. I have the Mielle babassu but I haven’t tried it yet so I’ll have to try that soon
@aaliyah girllllll what you waiting on??? Hurry up and pop open that mielle lol
Hey Aaliyah. Def try out the Mielle Organics Babassu. You may actually really like it. Thanks so much for watching love!
I am still unsure how to determine when your hair needs a protein treatment. Can you provide details other than when your hair feels weak? My hair never feels weak or sheds. The Soultanicals Afrotastic Curl Elastic pops my curls and restores the shine. Should I be applying a protein treatment anyway? Thanks for your help as always.
do a search for "DiscoveringNatural Protein" there is a video that can help you
So when I notice that I see a lot of breakage, its probably because my hair is too moisturized and weak. If your hair feels fine then no need to go out of your way to add extra protein. I hope that helps!
I'm getting a protein treatment because my hair feels alarmingly soft, I have fine low density hair so maybe it's easier to tell. But the softness is starting to feel like weakness.
I have the Shea Moisture protein treatment but didn’t like it. Only used it once. It has no slip. I will have to use it up though, and detangle prior to adding it to my hair.
I like it but Shea Moisture was just changing up their products and formulas too much for me. And I found others that I liked better lol
just found + subscribed to your channel so I’ve been binge watching all of your videos. have you tried the power greens reconstructor by Shea moisture?
Hey Faith!!! Thank you so much for subscribing 💕😊. I have not tried it our yet but once I go through a few protein treatments I might pick it up! Thanks love ❤️
@@NJEberhart please make a video whenever you do ☺️
Gang gang
Hello! Are protein treatments different from conditioners that have protein in them? Is it okay if I use a regular conditioner that contains protein weekly?
So protein treatments are stronger, and protein is usually higher on the list of ingredients. You can also tell if it is a strong protein treatment if it tells you to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. Theses are not to be used frequently. But a light protein conditioner can be used alone and more frequently depending on if your hair is protein sensitive or not.
NJ Eberhart thank you so much!!!!
Now that I know how high that tgin conditioner is on the protein list, I definitely won't be trying it lmao.
Lol its really not that bad for me. I don't normally need a moisture DC afterwards lol. Thanks for watching love!
My fav of all time is ORS replenishing conditioner (the other one not the new recipe with sweet orange) its a light moisture protein treatment with hydrolysed collagen in it. Its great for a low porosity gal like me lol. I got the big ass 33 oz one and its also lightweight so i found it great for absorbing easily into my hair, I tried to like the CR algae renew one and honestly it did nothing but just sit on my hair even with heat and my hair just felt dry af.
Anyone know any lightweight deep conditioners? Either light protein treatments or moisturising ones
Hey love. I use to love the ORS old school deep conditioners on my relaxed hair but I honestly have not used them on my natural hair lol. As far as light weight deep conditioner I would say that the TGIN deep conditioners are light weight but super moisturizing.
@@NJEberhart Thank you! I love TGIN products so I'll definitely try it out! :)
Have you tried curl junkie repair me or briogeo don’t despair repair? If so, do you like them?
Hey love. I have not tried either of those brands but they are def in my list to try. Of course I’ll do a video on them 😊
Of all the protein treatments is the Camille protein treatment the most potent?
Hi Caroyln 🤗. Yes in my opinion the Camille Rose is stronger followed by the TGIN. Thanks for watching 💕
Do you recommend doing a quick moisture mask on after a protein or does that defeat the purpose of a protein treatment? I’ve heard people do both or alone. Thanks!
7:25
Lol Thank you!!!
Hey love. For the most part I do not use a moisture conditioner after using these treatments. But it all depends on how your hair feels afterwards.
NJ Eberhart gotcha! Thanks hun!
I'm still experimenting with protein treatments. I'm yet to find one that gives me strength and still leaves my hair feeling good
Hey Daisy. I would try out the TGIN Protein Conditioner but just make sure you don't leave it in longer than 15 mins. My hair feels strong but I don't use a moisture DC afterwards. Thanks for watching love!
@@NJEberhart I will add it to my list. Thank you!
You didn't mention Botanika..
This video is from last year, I hadn’t tried or even heard of Botanika yet lol.
@@NJEberhart oh I didn't notice that it was from a year ago. Smh. Lol
