  • Things To Avoid When TIG Welding Root Pass !
    What is a root pass in TIG welding?
    Root passes use weld filler material to close the root space between the weld faces. Follow tips regarding shielding gas, welding preparation, and weld techniques to make TIG welding your root pass successful. The video gives viewers good insights into placing excellent and solid root passes. You will get to learn about different technical paths that you can explore. With the appropriate training and practice on the operator's part, learning to place the root can become an invaluable skill!

    Hello gentlemen, In pass on,or root pass all your attentions were accurate, from the presence of tungsten and the necessary amount that should be outside of the ceramic, as well as the size of the tube gap to have good penetration to take X-rays, thank you for your accuracy.

    I have found that one wants enough current to “wake up” the tungsten. Up to 70-80 amps wants a 1/16 tungsten. 100+ desires a 3/32 or so.
    I’ve yet to go much over a hundred, as access to 220 is difficult for me.

    • @X3MTIG
      @X3MTIG  Рік тому +1

      Pozdrav,
      Za zatupljivanje ivice korijena sve zavisi od materijala kojeg se vari. Generalno, osobno volim, noz na crnim cijevima, a kod inoxa oko 1 do 1 1/2 mm, cisto iz prevencije “ internal undercut “ . Dali ima razlike u masinama ? Ima, naravno i meni se cak nekad desi da koristim istu masinu u elektrani i rafineriji i ima razlike u napajanju. Ovdje su uglavnom Miller i Lincoln, odlicne masine, pogotovo na diesel, ali mislim da Kempi je vise specijaliziran za Tig i sadrzi kvalitetnije komponente, tako da je sigurno razlika u amperima. Hvala ti na komentaru i svako dobro!
