This would have to be one of the best sliders I've tested and it's the YC Onion Hot Dog 3.0 motorized camera slider. It uses the YC Onion BUN motorized camera slider module to get that buttery smooth motorized movement and honestly it's pretty amazing. PLUS you can attach a gimbal onto it and control the gimbal with the YC Onion app as well.

Does it remember the A/B point movement when it is turned off/on again? I have a static setup so I want it to do the same cycle every time I turn it on.

Thanks for taking the time to create this in depth video. I'm in the market for a motorised parallax slider. I've owned one of the generic and non-motirised versions of this slider before and the thing fell apart on me while over seas. Did you have any trouble with the baseplate on the carriage slipping? Also, does the timelapse mode stop the slider before each shutter release, so that it's possible to do long exposure hyperlapses?

This slider has been solid since i've had it. Haven't had many issues yet. I haven't tested the timelapse function whilst connected to a camera. I'll have to try it and let you know :)
@@AndrewMurphyFilms Hey, that'd be great. I haven't seen any reviews of the actual timelapse features in a real world setting. I've pretty much narrowed my search down to this bad boy and the newest Zeapon... But really, aside form portability, this slider looks to be the clear winner. 80cm just Baaaarely fits in my suitcase. The ability to intergrate my Crane 3 Lab is a huge bonus too.
The gimbal integration is very clunky so keep that in mind.
Thanks for sharing. I am torn between this slider and the iFootage Nano. The payload capacity of the Onion is quite impressive, though maximum speed is a little slow. And on the other hand the iFootage Nano is by far the most portable and convenient, but the payload capacity is borderline. My reality is, if it is small enough to fit in my rucksack it will get used:-)

I’m still a big fan. I’ve used it a handful of times, only because I don’t really use sliders all that much anymore. However I haven’t used it with the gimbal at all because it’s a bit buggy

What the hell happened at 12:28 , ? this is scary , the last thing i want to happen to my precious bmpcc 6k because the slider can not handle it in a vertical setup, better to look away from this
LOL i had it basically verticle without anything mounting the top to the support so it just tipped due to way too much weight being over the other side.
@@AndrewMurphyFilms so it is save to setup vertically with bmpcc 6k if it is set properly ? I will take your word for it lol
