I'm glad to know that I do everything the same! The only thing I had to stop was braiding the roots because they always get tangled when I take them down.
I just took my mini twists down. About to shampoo and reinstall them. They are so convenient . I also recommend subsections. Helps the install go faster in my opinion
@@rubyy_love my motivation is not having to fuss with my hair for a couple of weeks and the versatility of mini twists.. put on a movie or a show you like to watch and just start. The process will go by faster than you think once you get into the rhythm of doing them.
I just installed some mini twists last week. I’m so happy I watched one of your mini twists videos, because I trimmed my hair because of it, and you’re absolutely right, my twists look so much better than the other times I’ve done them. Thank you! You have definitely been my go-to whenever I install my mini twists.
I always find my twists feel stiff at the roots. Other girls are able to flip/ flop their twists like loose hair, but mine tend to stay in one direction (ie. side part/ middle part, etc.). Idk what I’m doing wrong 😭
Along my hairline in the front and then the three rows coming off the middle part….braid the root and inch then twist. I find that braids allow me to swap my parts a lot easier than twists. Also, I’ll add a little water (usually just shower with no bonnet) then blow dry my hair on low heat to enforce the new part.
Maybe you're braiding too far down? I do about 3 weave throughs (lol if that makes sense) and let it be. Also keeping them moisturized will prevent them from getting too stiff. Thanks for watching!

understandable! Not for every texture for sure. Thanks for watching!

Heyy so I tried it but they just won’t hold yk?
@@aleatherepy what did you use ? Is your hair blown out or in its natural state ?
@ it was in its natural state I used water and gel
@@aleatherepy I would switch your products up. Try a cream or a twisting gel
@ Iv already tried a curl definding gel
@aleatherepy the same thing happened to me, but now I dry my hair first and make a braid at the beginning
