I prefer using measure names to color a gradient bar chart because it ensures the gradient is applied evenly across the entire length of each bar. This method colors based on the bars themselves rather than their values, resulting in a proportional gradient regardless of the bar lengths. Measure values can cause shorter bars to display an incomplete gradient, making it difficult to see the full range of colors. But whichever floats your boat :)
