  • How to create a Layered Dashboard in Tableau that lets users customize their views by selecting different metrics. We’ll start by pivoting data, enabling the use of Pivot Names and Pivot Values in calculated fields for greater flexibility. Then we’ll set up a Multi-Value Parameter with radio buttons that allow users to filter and add specific metrics, like Sales Revenue, to the dashboard. When a metric is selected, the corresponding chart is added and the button fills with the chart’s color, creating a dynamic visual indicator that also serves as a legend. I only did 4 metrics in this video, but you can add as many as you want. It transforms a static display into a dynamic, interactive experience, allowing users to tailor the dashboard to their specific needs and gain deeper insights without needing advanced technical skills.

ELSE [Metric Paramater] + [Pivot Field Names] END
