Lady Visākhā - The Chief Supporters of the Buddha | Great Disciples of the Buddha

Lady Visākhā, was one of the two chief supporters of the Buddha and his monastic community, the laywoman foremost in generosity. She was considered a very blessed and auspicious person who had a very large family and used generosity as practice to develop her heart and observed the Uposatha day to develop seclusion and follow the example of the Arahants.
