Everyday I am learning more about Buddha Dhamma through Achan Cha's narrated stories and his own recorded preachings. This lesson today I will remember to practice and have a more deeper understanding. This preaching done 13 years ago, but as the Buddhadhamma it is applicable to us at any time. So precious Buddha Dhamma is! May the Noble Triple Gem bless the Monk and all of us!
If only someone had “kicked me over” and given me a “knock on the head” in my early life! I’m sure I could have avoid much of the self inflicted suffering I’ve dealt with. I am thankful, though, that I might benefit from the kick Ajahn Chah gave you, Most Venerarable Nyanadhammo! I will make as much wisdom from your “fortunate ‘misfortune’” as I can, however. As it has proved a blessing to you, so let that kick and its attendant lesson, “don’t get lost in other people’s words” be a blessing to all who have ears to hear your words. To all who can hear, see, feel, taste, smell, and intuit the Dhamma! May you live long and bless many with your teaching of the Dhamma. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! The story of Ajahn Chah brought tears to me. Such compassion and wisdom is almost out of this world. Thank you for sharing this.
