You know what would be useful - a more weatherproof, sturdy solar panel. There are times when I want to leave my battery unit in a tent or some other sheltered place, with a panel charging it at a distance, and not have to worry about rain or snow while I am away from the campsite. It seems like the folding panels are only useful while we are nearby, if you see what I am saying.
@@Woodswalker1965 I am thinking about winter usage, during power outages. I have read that if we put any of these types of units outside when it is below freezing, we run the risk of ruining the lithium battery permanently. So I am thinking that if the cord between the solar panel is long enough, I could put the panel out on the deck, and leave the battery inside, where the woodstove is keeping the house at a decent temperature - maybe run the cord out the window and close the window as far as possible without pinching the cord, and rely on the woodstove to make up for the tiny amount of airflow through the window. What do you think?

Nice to see this compact unit used in the way that people like us would actually use it. Thank you!
