I always appreciate that you allow Maru time to get himself out of the predicaments he gets himself into instead of just rushing over and helping him. You could tell when he got his head out that he wasn't the least bit fazed or worried by the ordeal. And poor Miri is dealing with the age old evolutionary battle between fear and curiosity.
So much fun to watch, how the cats are different. Poor little Miri, scared of falling snow. In many ways animals are similar to humans when it comes to fears too. We just have to figure it out and you are a great cat mom, even building a protected shelter for Miri. That was really sweet.
Hana found a sun spot and was happy. I think Maru trying to fit his big body into Miri's shelter temporarily distracted her from her fear. Poor little girl. Miri's waiting for summer when she can spend hours outside chattering to the birds.
Maru, always satisfied, whatever the season, enjoys a little walk in the garden! The snow is like a soft carpet, refreshing his cute meat buns! It's very healthy for his body to knead udon seriously ! Miri can't wait to enjoy the Spring to have fun with her darling birdies ! Winter is really not her cup of tea! 🎉🐈❤️❄️🌳❄️⛄🐦

@@lapsedluddite3381 IIRC, a neighbor found her in a gutter during a bad storm before bringing her to mugumogu. So, probably a thunderstorm, poor small baby.

I had a cat who was skittish like Miri... she was afraid of strangers and strange noises. We said goodbye to her about a month and a half ago. She was almost 11. I still miss her a lot :(
Snow and ice gliding down and landing with a thump are scaring poor Miri. She is safe inside the custom made box but Maru will soon take over and rip the round hole to fit inside. All boxes belong to Maru everybody knows that. Miri can't sit in the sun because of the box. Difficult choices. Spring is coming be brave.

I have a kitty who is anxiety-prone like Miri by outside sounds. When she starts to creep or show other signs of distress from outside noises, I like to run the clothes washer or dryer, or the dishwasher. These familiar sounds help disguise the scary outside noises, and keeps her a little less anxious.
Miri has learned well from the Zen Master who could barely get his head in (of course it's all fluff). I laughed so hard as Maru tried to get into the box. 😅🤣
I built a little shelter for my outdoor cats here. 😆 They use it sometimes but not very often. They probably use it most when it's raining. It's just a big plastic tub, with the lid still on, turned upside down, and I cut a hole in the side so they can get in. very cute cats.
