Well, the best is debatable... Is it Marko after all? 🤣😂 Okey, okey... All members that sing in these songs deserve praising... They just do their part so good!
This whole concert kicked @$$. At this concert Floor had been a substitute singer for them about 10 months. None of these songs were even written for her and her talents. And she just nails each and everyone of them.
Mr Lion, I must say I like your presentation where the music video is full screen and you are the thumbnail, most reactors do it the other way. Story time We might have told you already but it might help you to know Tuomas uses several pseudonyms to refer to himself in various Nightwish songs which he writes from experiences, observation or imagination, he says he is a man with a boy's heart (child-man), a grown-up Peter Pan, and you will see that directly in places even, when he uses boy narrators sometimes in place of himself. Digging into his lyrics is almost a second bite of the cherry. He will also use poet, dreamer, writer/song writer or ocean soul - Tuomas has an affinity for the ocean, he wanted to become a marine biologist; keep all this in mind for later, it will help. So here, "A writer by a fire. . . . . ." Tuomas is speaking to you directly, he is the story-teller, the “writer by the fire” - "Took a journey into a child-man’s heart" would be Tuomas remembering the childhood stories, the Peter Pan escapades of his imagination and fascinations, but the boy has grown up from being a Peter-Pan, the crib is empty. I am: the voice of Never-Never land, the empty crib, the journey, the destination, the home, Tuomas says, he's taking you back to his childhood fascinations. Floor sings the bridge "Neverland, innocence, dreams of every man. . . . . ." in a high operatic head voice, a pitch you might expect from a very, very excited small boy. Now, go look at all the lyrics and the references to the childhood classic stories and it all drops into place; it's one of the songs where it is easy to dig inside Tuomas' metaphoric lyrics and unravel them. Now remember well the line here "The core of all life is a limitless chest of tales", we'll come back to that in time, I know already you will surely get there ! :-) Good stuff, you keep at it, Nightwish will not disappoint. My best regards from the seriously superannuated British overseas detachment of the Nightwish Army, central SW France.
The magic of Nightwish can be overwhelming. They hit every emotion humans can have.. Tuomas Holopainen is the maestro on keys. He is extraordinary in his compositions. And Floor is otherworldly in every way yet so down to earth. The whole band is special in their own way. Guitarist Emppu brings so much joy with his onstage shenanigans. Jukka is a machine on drums and a real showman. Marko on bass is one of my all time favourite musicians and singers. They are all awesome. Keep going down the rabbit hole :D
You should react to every song in this concert. The whole thing is fire. The first song is called Dark Chest of Wonders (Live @ Wacken 2013) and it’s the first time many of the 82,000 in attendance would have seen Floor perform with Nightwish. It’s an incredible show opener and sets the tone for everything that is to follow.
The second singer was Anette Olzon. She sounded more poppy. Tarja Turunen had a more operatic singing style. She was one of the founders of Nightwish and the lead singer until 2005. Anette started around 2007 until she left in the middle of a World tour in 2012. Floor Jansen was recovering of a severe burn-out at the time they called her to fill in for Anette. Floor had only 48 hours to learn how to sing and perform the setlist. There is a documentary about this whole tour and how Floor joined Nightwish called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours". Floor is the most versatile singer. She knows how to sing opera, pop, rock, metal, anything. Maybe you want to stay at Wacken for now. You'll probably like "Dark Chest of Wonders". This was the opening song of this concert. To most of the European audience that was the moment Floor Jansen was introduced as singer for Nightwish. She was still filling in for Anette for about 10 months at that point. A few months later Nightwish announced Floor would be their fulltime lead vocalist. I've heard Floor Jansen as a performer described as the female Freddie Mercury. In my teens I was a huge fan of Queen and I agree with this. Her charisma is off the charts just as Freddie's was.
@@TheLionsReaction Tarja, Anette en Floor are totally different singers. Each inspired Tuomas to write for them in a different way. Within the army it is considered not done to compare them in the sense of who is the better. At Wacken all songs were written either for Tarja or for Anette. Floor joined about 10 months earlier mid tour and was not even officially a member of the band yet (though she and Troy were asked and accepted, but the announcement of that would be a couple of months later). Lanternlight is from the third album with Floor and composed with her abilities in mind. IMHO neither Anette of Tarja could sing it like she does and, more importantly, Tuomas would not write this for either of the two previous singers.
@@TheLionsReaction Just be forewarned - "favorite vocalist" is without doubt the only thing that causes dissension in the ranks of the Nightwish Army. Most of us have grown weary of it over time, and just have agreed to disagree. Song of Myself from this show is a gem, but you won't go wrong by following General Gabriel's list. Look forward to following your journey...
Thanks for diving into Nightwish. For ideas of what to react to next and to guarantee the best recorded version, I suggest you go back to Gabriel's comments on your first Nightwish reaction and use his links. Either in order or pick and mix. You will also get your amswer to most of your questions in his post. To answer one of your questions, yes. They are always this intense. I will add my usual welcome: I am pleased to welcome you to the wonderful world of Nightwish from the UK Oldies Division of Nightwish Army (East Anglian branch). As you delve deeper into their music (as I hope you will) you will find many diverse songs. Symphonic metal is the official genre, but you will find songs ranging from metal to ballads and even a jazz track. I have subscribed to your channel in the hope that you'll keep on watching and listening to Nightwish, especially their live recordings. I saw them live at Wembley in November 2022 and it was the most amazing unforgettable experience. To hear more from them and to get some more info on the band, I suggest you look at Gabriel's post and follow his list or pick and mix from it. I have followed Nightwish for some time now and the compositions and musicianship never fail to please. Looking forward to your next reaction.
It is not only her singing but also her appearance. And how she can play fans with her stories. Nightwish is for me the best band there is. Many greetings from the beautiful Netherlands.
They are just amazing. Every single one of them. And we have Tuomas, the keyboardist and writer/composer of all of their stuff, who is just a gift to humanity for what he's given us all.
Hello Lion, Nightwish Army Italian Division reporting. Yes they have the same kind of live show like this and I will never get tired of going to their concerts whenever I can. They love playing live. Next steps for you are, in my personal opinion, "Romanticide" and "Everdream" from Wacken 2013 and "Shudder before the beautiful" and "The greatest show on earth" from Tampere 2015. Enjoy your Nightwish journey.
@@TheLionsReaction it's simple, anyone can be in the Nightwish Army, recruitment is free and it's enough to be a Nightwish fan. We are all self-proclaimed soldiers but, and this is the most important thing, we are all friendly because Nightwish Army is a peaceful army, we are more of a family than an army. So you can be into the Nightwish Army South Dakota Division. ;-)
Floor is the ultimate front woman....and expert windwiller :D Enjoy your Nightwish journey! And yes....they are insane live! When they start touring you have to go to one of their concerts! Best regards from The Netherlands
Love watching your enthousiasm. Their live shows always radiate lots of energy and excitement and you often see them smile on stage. Their Wacken 2013 show was excellent and if you want to stick to that show, you're probably going to enjoy the power of 'Romanticide' and 'Dark Chest Of Wonders'. They do have lots of variety in their music though, with songs ranging from epic, orchestral pieces to beautiful ballads and more intense, heavy tracks. Did you know that they released their latest album 'Yesterwynde' last September?
This is our Valkyrie Goddess for you. And you witnessed first hand a "Dutch Windmill" , and to finish you off, The Operatic "Cruise Missile" !!!! Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bull whip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch. Awesome tune , although it is kind of a pop/rockish sound (originally sung by Anette, the second singer of Nightwish), but Floor gave it soooo much POWER !!! Including this "Operatic" part, what was originally done by children's choir because vocal limitations on their second singer (Great singer also, I might add), but Floor has none of that "Limit". Nightwish lyrics are often a bit interpretive, and not as "straight forward" as many other bands, because Tuomas ( The Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen: founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish.) prefers people to put their own interpretations and life experiences into the lyrics. you connect with songs on a personal level when there is something there that relates to things you have gone/are going through, and you may even find new connections later on in life when you have gone through other big events/emotions. there might be songs you are quite indifferent about (oh, nice song) and then you go through something big and all of a sudden it makes you break down in tears because now you relate to something in the lyrics you didn't before, and see it from a whole new perspective. imagination and life experiences are powerful, and Tuomas has great appreciation of this. Take Gabriel's list as a guide to your journey. We are on Standby mode for now .... NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
Hello again, Lion. Phoenix subscriber back. You've got the bug now. And yes, Nightwish delivers on all their live performances. Carol, my wife of 44 years and I got the chance to travel from Phoenix to see them live at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco on May 18th, 2022 and the show was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Floor is the ultimate Front Woman but the entire band kills these live performances. Keep these Nightwish live reactions coming.
Yes, I agree w 🫵; Floor is The Ultimate FRONTWOMAN, I am pushing 70 & have never seen, will not see, anyone even close to her! And Nightwish has no compare; composition, lyrics, live, message,… 💙🇫🇮 ❤️🔥Nightwish!
Floor doing Floor things. She is undoubtedly one of the best front women out there. I'm glad you are continuing your journey and look forward to following along. And, yes, having the great band behind her that she does is a definite plus.
Epica is another great symphonic metal band with a great singer, Simone. The Nightwish Army would not want you to branch out for too long but Epica have a song ‘sancta terra’ featuring Floor duetting with Simone which is well worth a watch/listen.
Like I said before, you'll get that from ANY live Nightwish song - and there's a LOT. As well as the three female singers, Marko Hietala, the bassist, is a world class singer and leads or duets on some songs. Marko left the band recently, so now Troy Donockley, the multi-instrumentalist and piper is the male singer who sometimes sings with Floor Jansen.
Yes, every show is like this, every song is amazing, seen them 15 times live and can't wait for them to comeback. Every song in this show is absolutely amazing. Enjoy 😊
I've not yet seen Nightwish live - I came close in late 2022, but that was very soon after Floor was diagnosed with cancer and I wasn't sure if the concert would go ahead, or what would happen, so that along with the logistics of getting to the concert meant I missed out. And apparently missed a bloody good concert!!! 🤣 I did get to see Floor live for the first time back in June in Eindhoven, and will definitely be going to another live show sometime in the future. It was absolutely superb. Very different to a Nightwish concert with a different style of songs, but very much recommended. She's such a lovely person too. When Nightwish resume touring though, hopefully in a couple of years, I will definitely be going!
I subbed after your first reaction to Nightwish, I love your energy and your comments are spot on! Floor is the ONE! She is a beautiful gift to humanity!
Marko the bassist ( who has since left the band ) is a force to be reckoned with. Has his own band - co writes songs and I believe in 2021 or 22 won Finlands masked singer as “Tohtori” pardon my spelling if wrong . One thing about nightwish, no one showboats. They don’t overplay- just enough to give you what is needed for the song. In many cases Floor is just as happy providing backup and Marko takes the lead . Oh, and those goosebumps you get when Floor sings, we all affectionately call “Floor-gasms”! 😂 You are just uncovering a little of what she can do vocally. Tuomas the keyboardist is the founder/composer for the band. He is also know as the Metal Mozart . An absolute genius
Hello Lion! Nice video reaction from you - thank you. 🙂 The Nightwish band is not a new stuff in the world of music. They are here about 29 years already... And they are perfect with any leading singer they ever had. Nightwish is always one step ahead of the other metal bands. Their music and performance are huge, massive and majestic. That's because of Tuomas (genial composer and keyboard player), all the masters of musical instruments in the band and the "goddess" leading singer (whether it was Tarja at the beginning or Floor now). The members of Nightwish band aren't only any students of music trying to play something. They are masters, because everything they create, play and sing, is a masterpiece!!! Everyone is experiencing their compositions, not just listening.
Yes, Nightwish live is always amazing, especially from 2013 to today while Floor's been the singer. Everdream from the same Wacken 2013 show is a good next step.
Great reaction!! Nightwish is a very deep rabbit hole, where every song is different with unexpected twists and turns. Virtuoso musicians, a genius songwriter (Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player whom many call the "metal Mozart" is a master of emotion and melody), and the best lead singer alive today (Floor Jansen can sing anything, from operatic highs to full metal growls) - and bassist Marco Hietala is a metal legend and also has an incredible voice (and when he sings harmony with Floor - it is pure gold). Their studio tracks are great, but their live performances are phenomenal, Nightwish is one of the best live bands of all time. Follow Gabriel's list for song choices. Some of my personal favorites are: (From Wacken 2013): Ghost Love Score, Romanticide, Storytime, Ghost River, Amaranth, Song Of Myself, Last Ride Of The Day, Ever Dream; (From Wembley 2015): 7 Days To The Wolves, Yours Is An Empty Hope, Nemo, Elan, My Walden, While Your Lips Are Still Red, Shudder Before The Beautiful, The Poet And The Pendulum; (From Tampere 2015): Sleeping Sun, The Islander; (From Buenos Aires 2018): I Want My Tears Back, Dead Boys Poem, Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean; (From Tampa): Sahara; (From Hellfest 2022): Tribal, How's The Heart.
The 3.One is Anette/ She is more pppi! + Nightwish is not only a band- its a Music Experiment for almost 30years with 22- 23 members as I know actually.
Mine and my 5 year old granddaughters favorite video and song. She has been watching it for 3.5 years. There is this version of this video...."Nightwish & Floor Jansen - Storytime (Live @ Wacken 2013) - Lyric Video" that someone added video segments from the 2003 Peter Pan movie. It's pretty awesome.
NW Army Finland here. A very nice reaction! Just Nightwish doing Nightwish things! And as you have surely noticed, although they are all outstanding , none of them standout. Well, except our Valkyrie Goddess, ofc. Nightwish is their own genre and no other band comes close to the level they are at. Never, in the history of music entertainment, have a set of skills and talent collided in such powerful manner. Tuomas is a true genius as a composer and with lyrics!
Here is a new subscriber for you. I know that feeling Wien you hit the Floorgasm for the first time. All the best for this year. We’ll see soon. Greets from Finland.
Nightwish is incredible live, and not just at the huge festivals (like Wacken). When they tour the US, the crowds and venues are smaller. There may not be any pyro. I saw them in Denver in 2022 in a modest indoor venue and the extent of the stage show was just smoke machines and lights. Didn't matter. They left it all on the stage. Incredible show. My journey to see them involved a 14 hour round-trip drive and a hotel stay. Worth every penny, and then some.
Nice reaction. This song is from their Imaginaerium album, a concept album based on an old composer on his death bed reliving the memories of his life. One of Tuomas's favorite topics or themes in his music is lost innocence. As a poet and artist Tuomas values the sense of wonder and imagination that innocent children have. In Storytime the composer is remembering the joy he got from childhood tales, thus the references to Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland (Tuomas often uses literary references in his lyrics and as inspiration for songs). It is through these childhood stories that we discover ourselves and who we are (I am the story that will read you real). Song is inspired by a popular British Christmas movie The Snowman. Storytime" was born when Tuomas wondered why no-one had made a remake of the film, and pondered on what his version of the score to the scene in which "Walking in the Air" plays would sound like. Tuomas ""How would it feel to take a midnight flight with a snowman through the most wondrous landscapes, like in the classic animated Yuletide film? The meaning of our very existence is created though stories, tales and imagination. They are at the very core of humanity." Walking on the Air is a very popular Christmas song in the UK and Finland and Nightwish did a beautiful cover of it with their first singer Tarja that is worth reacting to. From the Wishes to Eternity DVD. ua-cam.com/video/9icKP1b44TA/v-deo.htmlsi=eL8wGysbgYhVdUxa. Anette Olzon was there second singer and very different from Tarja and Floor. More jazz/pop vocal styling. I find her studio recordings to be much better then her live stuff. You should definitely check her out as she is a very good singer and the two albums she was on are two of the better selling albums Nightwish has released. To hear Anette I would recommend the music video for Amaranth or if you want to hear something live, Slow Love Slow live from the Montreaux Jazz Festival.
😁That was fun😆 but than again,i never ever have seen a reactor ,who didn't have a big smile on their face with this song, well,as a fact ,almost all songs.😆(at some songs, people cry😭) 🤘
The concert at Wacken was something special all around since they were taping the show for a dvd, it was their biggest show in europe since Floor joined and most of the european fans had not seen them perform together just yet. So there was something special in the air for sure. But having witnessed them many times in other venues and festivals i can say that its definitely something special every time again
Well, to answer your question regarding if they always put on a show like this one at Wacken, the answer is a big YES. I had the privilege of seeing them live in Los Angeles a couple years ago and they are amazing. The lighting and screen imagery 2nd to none. The only missing element was the Pyro ( due to So Cal ) restrictions. The best is yet to come and I'm looking forward to following you through this amazing journey.
Nightwish are, always best live, glad you are enjoying your nightwish journey. Tuomas the keyboard player is the writer of most of their music and a musical genius, known as the metal Mozart There is a sixth band member you haven't met yet Troy from the Uk he brings a different twist to things as you will find out 🇬🇧
Thank you sir, such a great way for me to start my day, love it! I believe every song performed at Wacken is on UA-cam, as well as the entire concert! May I add that I enjoy watching your reaction, I am doing the same here at home only on my feet dancing, spilled my coffee, oops! There are other venues live and yes every place is like this; they are much loved! Tuomas is on keyboard sir. Watching for the next!
I am so here for all your reactions to this band! I love how into the music you get, makes it feel like I'm experiencing the music and performance for the first time again alongside you.
please don´t ask if their live performances are all that great - just react to them piece by piece :) i think we will go on a long journey . . . and yes, they are all that intensive ... ;)
@@TheLionsReaction it is a good addiction, trust the Army they will lead you through all of the Floor Era :) i am a fan from the first minute, i preordered their debut just because a printmedium called "Metal Hammer" wrote an pre-listen report and i was just curious... i recieved it early and was mindblown just from the opener :) ... this was 1997 so i call myself a Nightwish fan and love all era´s
Hello thanks for reacting to Nightwish...new subsciber here...Sabaton is the band of Floor Jansen husband Hannes...where he is the drummer of. They are from Zweden.. I suggest you react to Sabaton - Bismarck ( official music video) its great. Thanks 😊❤
You have chosen two bands that incorporate"theater" into their musical performances. Nightwish and The Warning. So much of the passion in their delivery is from the training, dedication and ability to project the meaning of the song. You feel the energy of the music and lyrics. I for one can't get enough of them both. Even after several years of following these bands.
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there.salute General @gabriel_bardac. The Bande Vocals : Floor Jansen Bass,Vocals : Marco Hietala Guitar : Emppu Vuorinen Keyboards,Songwriting. : Tuomas Holopainen Uilleann Pipes and 100 other instruments : Troy Donockley Drums :1-Jukka Nevalainen until 2013 /and then 2-Kai Hahto.
Every song at this concert is a blast and were all written for first two singers, Tarja Turunen operatic and Anette Olzon pop. This song was written for Anette but she couldn't sing the middle operatic part. Live she was not very good and even some of her studio songs sound better live when sung by Floor. And yes they are equally as good live even in small venues. Maybe watch Sahara performed in Tampa FL in 2016. Floor is amazing plus you see newer drummer Kai Hahto plus 6th British band member, multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley playing guitar with E-bow in background.
If you want to take a slight side quest, check out Floor performing with Epica, song is Sancta Terra at Live Restrospect. The lead singer of Epica is a good friend of Floor. You'll like the operatic tones, trust me
Hi there, it is pretty fair to say that the majority of fans would have either Floor or Tarja as their personal favourite. The second singer was Annette Olsen. After Tarja left the band, Nightwish held open auditions for a new lead singer, and Annette is who they selected, in part to give Nightwish a new vibe with a more Rock/Pop singer. She opened up Nightwish to a wider audience who previously couldn't vibe with the Classical/Opera feel of Tarja. Because her voice was so different, she had trouble performing a lot of the older fan favourites at concerts (Hence you won;t see ythat many pro-shot live performances with Annette). If you want to check out something with her, I would more suggest their music video for "Bye Bye Beautiful", or "Meadows of Heaven" listed in YT as "Meadows of heaven - Nightwish with lyrics" (It's fan done visuals I believe), or the music video for "Amaranth". Kind Regards from the UK.
Tuomas Holopainen keyboard mannen composed and lyrics… Marco Hietala bass beard mannen❤ And a mazing singer miss Floor Jansen Tarja Turunen(FINLAND) first singer, Anette Olzon was second singer(SWEDEN) and now Floor Jansen (DUTSH) in Nightwish
I think He uses Korg Oasys, Karma, N364, Trinity and Triton keyboard/Workstation, and About the "organ/pipes" it is of course decoration to hide his triple Korg keyboards. Nightwish is finnish Tuomas the keyboard Player once said it was a Tribute to the Finnish violist and composer Jan Sibelius and to his monument in the finnish capital Helsinki, 600+ decorated steel pipes . ua-cam.com/video/UbWb-zy85cc/v-deo.html Knowing Tuomas, there is always a meaning behind everything
You asked if all of their live shows are this good. You can judge for yourself: "I Wish I Had an Angel", Live "End of an Era" concert with Tarja; "I Want My Tears Back" Buenos Aires 2018-concert date 2019 dvd release with Floor; "The Islander" live at Tampere Marko as lead singer; "Yours is an Empty Hope" Mexico City; "The Poet and the Pendulum" Wembly. "The Poet and the Pendulum" is usually suggested to have some background information prior to watching because it deals with the fallout over the split between Tarja and the band.
Tarja was the first singer and she sings operatic style all the way (she was classically trained); she's a great singer. Anette was the second singer and she has a more poppy/musical sound so she had trouble singing the Tarja era songs live, and well the third and current singer is Floor and she's the most versatile of the three. As such she made the entire Nightwish catalogue her own. This particular song is from the Anette era, but where Anette couldn't sing the operatic style part in the middle (the album has just a choir singing it), Floor, just did it herself with the choir in the background.
The ‘third one’ was the second one. Anette Olzon replaced Tarja after she was sacked on 2005. Floor replaced Anette in 2012 and has been with them ever since, becoming the longest serving singer in the band. Anette was/is a very good singer although is not held in the same affection as either Tarja or Floor. To be fair, I think that Floor is the best because she can sing in pretty much any style at the high level you have, so far, observed. The general line is that Anette is not as good a live singer as the other two, but she sings on what many consider two of the best Nightwish albums, Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum (from which the song Storytime is taken). She is particularly adept at songs that suit her more pop-oriented voice, such as Scaretale and Slow, Love, Slow. However, Floor added the singing of the ‘classical’ part in Storytime - originally sung just by the choir - because she could, whereas Anette didn’t have that in her tool kit.
Another great song from Wacken ( Va - Kin ) 2013 "Dark Chest of Wonders' was the opening song ! Annette Olson was the second female singer of Nightwish , the "Bye Bye Beautiful" MV is a pretty good song by Annette =)
My recommendation would be that you react to everything from this Wacken show, then do the same for the Wembley 2015 show, the Tampere 2016 show, Buenos Aires 2018, Hellfest 2022 (find the remastered version) and watch the documentary 'Please Learn the Setlist in 48hours'. Then do all the music videos and react to the amazing new album 'Yesterwynde ' . Should keep you busy for a while and we'll be with you all the way 🤘
You said that this song is your favorite...Noup,you can not find you favorite song from Nightwish beacause when you have heard all great Nightwish song, you will return to the starting point and start new search. What comes to Floor, she is a alive remote control of crowd, she commands crowd with her singing skills and with her body and with her stage pretense. When ask that if Nightwish have always big show like this, ansewer is that not always but when stage is big, then yes. Maybe most massive show took place in Tampere(Finland),at Ratina stadium. On some point you will check this "The Greatest Show On Earth", then choose Tampere Live version. Song is 20 minutes long, epic master piece...."Archaean horizon The first sunrise,On a pristine gaea,Opus perfectum.Somewhere there, us sleeping..." Song tells the story of big bang, universe and life, also mankind.

Mr Lion, I must say I like your presentation where the music video is full screen and you are the thumbnail, most reactors do it the other way.
Story time
We might have told you already but it might help you to know Tuomas uses several pseudonyms to refer to himself in various Nightwish songs which he writes from experiences, observation or imagination, he says he is a man with a boy's heart (child-man), a grown-up Peter Pan, and you will see that directly in places even, when he uses boy narrators sometimes in place of himself.
I am:
the voice of Never-Never land, the empty crib, the journey, the destination, the home, Tuomas says, he's taking you back to his childhood fascinations.
Good stuff, you keep at it, Nightwish will not disappoint.
My best regards from the seriously superannuated British overseas detachment of the Nightwish Army, central SW France.
Thank you, I appreciate that feedback! stay tuned I have more coming soon
The magic of Nightwish can be overwhelming. They hit every emotion humans can have.. Tuomas Holopainen is the maestro on keys. He is extraordinary in his compositions. Jukka is a machine on drums and a real showman. Marko on bass is one of my all time favourite musicians and singers. They are all awesome. Keep going down the rabbit hole :D
Each floorgasm surpasses the last, each and every time
Definitely "the ultimate front woman." 🤘🤘🇬🇧
She is, Shes absolutely incredible as a front woman
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
You should react to every song in this concert. The whole thing is fire.
The first song is called Dark Chest of Wonders (Live @ Wacken 2013) and it’s the first time many of the 82,000 in attendance would have seen Floor perform with Nightwish. It’s an incredible show opener and sets the tone for everything that is to follow.
I concur 💯%!!
Nightwish army Denmark reporting in 😃 Nothing beats Floor as a front person
Annette? I will have to look her up, I cent imagine comparing her to Floor or Tarja
I will add my usual welcome:
I am pleased to welcome you to the wonderful world of Nightwish from the UK Oldies Division of Nightwish Army (East Anglian branch).
I am following Gabrielle, He is a leader in the Night wish Army
It is not only her singing but also her appearance.
And how she can play fans with her stories.
Nightwish is for me the best band there is.
Many greetings from the beautiful Netherlands.
She is the BEST, and Hello from the USA
100% agree Frenk. I could not said it better! 🤘🔥🤘
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
They are just amazing. Every single one of them. And we have Tuomas, the keyboardist and writer/composer of all of their stuff, who is just a gift to humanity for what he's given us all.
100% truth
Tuomas 😅
I agree 100%!!!
@TheJama64 oh yeah, oops 😂
I want to start a south dakota division of the Nightwish Army! tell me how please
So you can be into the Nightwish Army South Dakota Division. ;-)
Like I said in the comments yesterday......kneel before the Queen. No maybes about it - she is best out there. Nightwish shows are a total blast.
All hail, Queen Floor
Floor is the ultimate front woman....and expert windwiller :D Enjoy your Nightwish journey! And yes....they are insane live! When they start touring you have to go to one of their concerts! Best regards from The Netherlands
She is, certainly! Hi from America
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
Love watching your enthousiasm. Their live shows always radiate lots of energy and excitement and you often see them smile on stage. Their Wacken 2013 show was excellent and if you want to stick to that show, you're probably going to enjoy the power of 'Romanticide' and 'Dark Chest Of Wonders'. They do have lots of variety in their music though, with songs ranging from epic, orchestral pieces to beautiful ballads and more intense, heavy tracks. Did you know that they released their latest album 'Yesterwynde' last September?
Nice, and thank you for those suggestions! I bet they are all amazing
Our Goddess is amazing! I never get tired of listening to her!
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
Hello again, Lion. Phoenix subscriber back. You've got the bug now. And yes, Nightwish delivers on all their live performances. Carol, my wife of 44 years and I got the chance to travel from Phoenix to see them live at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco on May 18th, 2022 and the show was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Floor is the ultimate Front Woman but the entire band kills these live performances. Keep these Nightwish live reactions coming.
That is so freaking cool! thank you for coming back
Chandler checking in!
Nearly 50 and I have never seen anything or anyone like her
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
Floor doing Floor things. She is undoubtedly one of the best front women out there. I'm glad you are continuing your journey and look forward to following along. And, yes, having the great band behind her that she does is a definite plus.
The whole band is stellar on a global level! they are the most talented group of people I have ever heard
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
Epica is another great symphonic metal band with a great singer, Simone. The Nightwish Army would not want you to branch out for too long but Epica have a song ‘sancta terra’ featuring Floor duetting with Simone which is well worth a watch/listen.
I will have to do that one to! i have seen a few other mention "Epica" before
@@TheLionsReaction usually a lot of Nightwish like Epica too and Floor and Simone (Epica singer) are close friends
You want see the other side of Nightwish? Lanternlight from the new Album Yesterwynde. Or A Ocean of strange Islands 🤘
Ok ok ok, I will have to go there next
Yes, two tracks from the new album that are among the best things that they have ever done.
Love Oceans of strange islands track
I agree 100%, friend! It's a live changing experience 🤘✨️🤘
Awesome reaction!!! Every song you hear by them will be your new fav song🤣🤣🤣
They are legendary
Yes, every show is like this, every song is amazing, seen them 15 times live and can't wait for them to comeback. Every song in this show is absolutely amazing. Enjoy 😊
Wow, 15 times?! that is amazing I havent even seen them once, I am so late to the party
I bet seeing Floor live was awesome! I am envious
Floor is the third one, Annet Olsen is the second one, and Tarja Turunen is the first one
I subbed after your first reaction to Nightwish, I love your energy and your comments are spot on! Floor is the ONE! She is a beautiful gift to humanity!
Thank you so much, I feel like I have just gotten started down this rabbit hole
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
UK Army popping in for a little story.
You can never have too many Floorgasms.
Hello Lion! Nice video reaction from you - thank you. 🙂
The Nightwish band is not a new stuff in the world of music.
Tuomas, lovely Tuomas who created Nightwish is keyboardist
I am excited to discover more from them and all thier genres
Do not forget Shoumaker pinkpop
Been following them since the late 90s early 2000s. Enjoy the journey!! The live shows do not disappoint.🤘🤘🔥🔥
I havent been disappointed yet, thats for sure
You have to listen to the Poet & the Pendelum!!! It's freakin EPIC!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The 3.One is Anette/ She is more pppi! + Nightwish is not only a band- its a Music Experiment for almost 30years with 22- 23 members as I know actually.
Popi!
I am going to react to nightwish with her soon. I have to be fair about it lol
I concur 100%!! 🤘🔥🤘
Here is a new subscriber for you. I know that feeling Wien you hit the Floorgasm
for the first time. All the best for this year. We’ll see soon. Greets from Finland.
Thank you, make sure to stay tuned, I have more on the way
Nightwish is incredible live, and not just at the huge festivals (like Wacken).
This is the ultimate concert. Do all your reviews from this venue. You won't be disappointed at all...
"Romanticide" next please! (from this same Wacken 2013 show)
Ok, I think I can make that happen
The concert at Wacken was something special all around since they were taping the show for a dvd, it was their biggest show in europe since Floor joined and most of the european fans had not seen them perform together just yet. So there was something special in the air for sure. But having witnessed them many times in other venues and festivals i can say that its definitely something special every time again
I was at the UK concert by Nightwish on this world tour , slightly different set but epic also
Well, to answer your question regarding if they always put on a show like this one at Wacken, the answer is a big YES.
Tuomas the keyboard player is the writer of most of their music and a musical genius, known as the metal Mozart There is a sixth band member you haven't met yet Troy from the Uk he brings a different twist to things as you will find out 🇬🇧
Again a nice Reaction. Its a fun to See your enthusiastic Reaction. Have a nice day greetings from Germany.
Thank you my friend and Hello from the USA
I subbed after your last reaction.
Pretty much everything is gold. Enjoy the journey.
I am so excited for this journey!
@TheLionsReaction 🤘🎸👍
Defenitly do "ever dream" also from wacken 2013.
Welcome! This is the tip of the iceberg. NWA Philly 🤘
You should just start at the beginning of this concert and do all the songs they are all GOLD❤
I think that is what I should have did. Hindsight is always 20/20 either way do far everyone is a epic banger
@ it’s aiight , one a few reactors on here have done that but it isn’t too late my friend
Second singer, between Tarja Turunen and Floor Jansen, was Anette Olzon.
Next stop should be "The Poet and the Pendulum" at Wembley 2015.
Nice, Dont spill to much coffee,
Nice reaction. Greetings from Mexico City 🇲🇽
I am so here for all your reactions to this band! I love how into the music you get, makes it feel like I'm experiencing the music and performance for the first time again alongside you.
👏 great one.. there are so many more.
The NW-Army will inform you 😉 no fear.. we are nice.
:D soo fast ?
welcome back
... as is said, welcome to your new addiction :)
please don´t ask if their live performances are all that great - just react to them piece by piece :)
i think we will go on a long journey . . .
and yes, they are all that intensive ... ;)
Yep.... My name is The Lion, and I am an addict, a Nightwishaholic
@@TheLionsReaction it is a good addiction, trust the Army they will lead you through all of the Floor Era :)
i am a fan from the first minute, i preordered their debut just because a printmedium called "Metal Hammer" wrote an pre-listen report and i was just curious... i recieved it early and was mindblown just from the opener :) ... this was 1997
so i call myself a Nightwish fan and love all era´s
This band can tell me any story they want.
Tuomas (keyboard player and mastermind behind most of the music) is a genius!
Hello thanks for reacting to Nightwish...new subsciber here...Sabaton is the band of Floor Jansen husband Hannes...where he is the drummer of. They are from Zweden.. I suggest you react to Sabaton - Bismarck ( official music video) its great. Thanks 😊❤
Some others have also suggested this band "Sabaton" i will definetely be looking into them. thanks
This whole concert is worth a listen , i bought this CD the day after i heard Ghost Love Score early last year , Everdream is a banger also .
If you want to stick to Wacken 2013, why not do the opening song "Dark Chest of Wonders". It's a banger.
Nice, "Dark Chest of Wonders" heh? It will have to go on the list
I agree 100%!! This is how to start a show! 🤘🔥🤘🇳🇱
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there.salute General @gabriel_bardac.
The Bande
Vocals : Floor Jansen
Bass,Vocals : Marco Hietala
Guitar : Emppu Vuorinen
Keyboards,Songwriting. : Tuomas Holopainen
Uilleann Pipes and 100 other instruments : Troy Donockley
Drums :1-Jukka Nevalainen until 2013 /and then 2-Kai Hahto.
Keep yourself big and the video small 👍
Nightwish are one of the best!
Yep, every Nightwish concert is like a 'once in a lifetime experience'... And never copy paste, always a little different.
Nice to experience such an enthusiastic reactor. Thank you🤘
Great reaction again! I have seen them twice here in Finland and I assure they are GREAT ❤🔥
I am so jealous, I wish I could see them live just one time!
If you want to take a slight side quest, check out Floor performing with Epica, song is Sancta Terra at Live Restrospect. The lead singer of Epica is a good friend of Floor.
You'll like the operatic tones, trust me
I have that on the list, it must be amazing as a few people have suggested it
Hi there, it is pretty fair to say that the majority of fans would have either Floor or Tarja as their personal favourite.
I am going to check out Annette next, just so I can be fair
Tuomas Holopainen keyboard mannen composed and lyrics…
Marco Hietala bass beard mannen❤ And a mazing singer miss Floor Jansen
Tarja Turunen(FINLAND) first singer, Anette Olzon was second singer(SWEDEN) and now Floor Jansen (DUTSH) in Nightwish
Nice one 😊👍
🤗🍒🤘🏻 well done again
Hey Lion, great reaction again. The next one to react to..... probably 'Ever Dream'.
On Stage she is a Steammachine/ privately a calm + gently woman! Until nowadays- a quiet normal person!
She is an absolute Goddess (Yes capital G Goddess) on stage for sure
FLOOR - GOAT 🐐
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think He uses Korg Oasys, Karma, N364, Trinity and Triton keyboard/Workstation, and About the "organ/pipes" it is of course decoration to hide his triple Korg keyboards. Nightwish is finnish
Tuomas the keyboard Player once said it was a Tribute to the Finnish violist and composer Jan Sibelius and to his monument in the finnish capital Helsinki, 600+ decorated steel pipes .
ua-cam.com/video/UbWb-zy85cc/v-deo.html
Knowing Tuomas, there is always a meaning behind everything
I love his keyboard, It makes him stand out as a performer
You asked if all of their live shows are this good. You can judge for yourself: "I Wish I Had an Angel", Live "End of an Era" concert with Tarja; "I Want My Tears Back" Buenos Aires 2018-concert date 2019 dvd release with Floor; "The Islander" live at Tampere Marko as lead singer; "Yours is an Empty Hope" Mexico City; "The Poet and the Pendulum" Wembly. "The Poet and the Pendulum" is usually suggested to have some background information prior to watching because it deals with the fallout over the split between Tarja and the band.
Romanticide from Wacken 2103 next 🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤘🤘 saw this tour and yes every show they do is EPIC check out Song of Myself by them a BANGER
Floor rejuvenated after her burnout going again on 110% 🙂 And the rest of the band also at their peak..
Wacken would have been a cool show to see them at!
Greatest show on earth❤
TGSOE Tampere 2015
Absolute truth! greatest show EVER!
@@TheLionsReaction we mean the song thats called the greatest show on earth, live in Tampere
Gabriel Bardoc is the UA-cam master of everything Nightwish. Follow his list, you will NOT be disappointed.
Haven’t done this in a while, but I love your reactions so I had to sub. Cheers from Jacksonville!
Song is 20 minutes long, epic master piece...."Archaean horizon
The first sunrise,On a pristine gaea,Opus perfectum.Somewhere there, us sleeping..." Song tells the story of big bang, universe and life, also mankind.
Agreed, 🤘once a Floorian Always a Floorian🤘
Song of myself is one of my favorites
