Hi Suzi. It's Raquel.Your Land is Beautiful and it Looks Like you have aLot of Land and keep doing great and your Plants are Looking great. And I Pray your Kitchen is the way you want it.And it Comes out Beautiful, and keep doing great in your Garden.Love Raquel.❤️.
It's great to see how your builders are getting on with the jobs. It would be a pity to get rid of all those natural bolders/stones. Maybe consider making a rock garden or alining you garden beds or along your exterior house walls. Just a thought. Love your videos❤❤💖🌺
sorry but I, m very sad with your decision to throw away the stone. your house is beautiful and you adore flowers. so, in your house can,t use plastic pots to put the flowers. I agree with anita klamer that it was wonderful use that stones for make great gardens ( in circul, square or retangular ) . maria de portugal.. sorry my english. ❤❤❤
@@isabelferreira-t3i I am only getting rid of the small concrete stones. The beautiful granite ones I will be using those for many things for the house and in the land 😀💕
And the bathroom Tile is Beautiful, and your floor in the Bathroom is to.Don't Worry about different tile it will Still be Beautiful and everything will Come together.Love you and your family.❤. Raquel.
What a shame that the cement was put between the stones but you can do that for sure. It's a pain but doable. So glad your kitchen is coming along so we'll. Looks wonderful. Everything is coming out beautiful!! Congratulations!
Wish I had all your small and large rocks to border my flower beds and place big rocks in flower beds here and there for garden art. Great you can hire good people to make your project work for you. All the best to you!
Yes, it’s true. Portugal doesn’t really have that nice firm cabbage. It’s more like what in the U.K. we call greens. However, I do want to grow some chard too 🥬😀💕
Stunning tiles! The shower tiles are beautiful and great choice for look a like floor ones! The kitchen cupboards along that end wall make the room look like home! Just love that new/ vintage oven! I imagine a huge old farmhouse table in front, with unmatched old chairs( no woodworm) and friends around enjoying themselves.Vine is happy...lots of grapes and all flourishing! I'd keep the stones as good mulch at base of young plants. Keeps the damp in..have a lovely "me time" break , good to spoil yourself. Plan your housewarming party...🏡🍾🥂🍺🍷🌻
Do think about keeping the small concrete stones. It's all mulch and won't be seen as you bury them next to a young plant. Under them the ground will be damp and the plants roots will be happy and snug.💐
The veggie garden is taking shape very well. I love how you keep it so natural and the branch tomato supports are a great idea. I would find a long wooden branch to replace the green hose or use a bamboo pole to keep it all natural material. I never throw away rocks or stones, as they can make such beautiful things like a stone barbecue, stone tiered fountain, raised garden bed walls, fence walls, rock garden, flower boxes etc. A friend of mine got two tall buckets and faced them with stones and believe me they were gorgeous. She planted a vibrant wandering red geranium in them and gosh they were beautiful to look at. Great DIY projects in the future :). Your dream kitchen is going to be absolutely gorgeous. Will you be adding a pan rack hanging from the ceiling over a kitchen island? The marble tile is beautiful and you will be showering / bathing in luxury. You were so lucky they left these expensive tiles behind for you. Always, thank you for sharing your project. You are doing such a amazing job with the transformation of your property and house. You should be so proud of yourself for taking on such a big project. Bravo!
Thank you so much Vanessa for all your ideas and suggestions, I loved reading your comment. I’m going to find some sticks to put on the top of the tomato frame. Thank you for your support, it’s very much appreciated 🙏💕
Company run by an English person who wants to get the job done as I’m paying for the job and not by the hour. So time is money but not at the expense of a good job 😀💕
Hi,Suzi When the kitchen comes on sight you can say that your home is coming together. Your builders are the best to advise you on the materials you can use again properly. You're nearly getting there.❤
Your doing so well house is awesome 👌 I was in your area today I didn't pick the right time as it was cloudy and drizzled a bit a beautiful area Fundao and the beautiful villages in between And Penamacor your property is gonna be the bees knees
Just be careful if you are going to chip concrete off granite - use goggles!!! I didn’t when I was doing some demolition of a stone wall and managed to really hurt my eye (it had to be sewn up!). Precious body part!
A tripod shape is steady in all directions, better to support the tomatoes. Everyone refers to the ground as the floor these days, very odd. I'd cut the broken tomato plant an inch or so above where the leaves are emerging & plant it asap. Everything is coming along nicely.
@@dreamlifeportugal Good luck. I planted out some basil I bought in the supermarket as it was lots of little plants in one pot & even though I thought I'd found a good spot for the pots the slug army seems to have found them!
Great to see everything coming together. Did they use plywood or mdf for your kitchen cabinet boxes? Hard to tell from here. So interesting to see the boxes sitting right on the floor. Usually they have legs or kick plates to keep the wood from getting water damage when you clean the floor. I can’t wait to see what color you use for the kitchen. Those tiles are beautiful.
A lot of the stone houses here are built on a granite rock. I know the rocks of the walls go quite deep as the inside of the house was a lot lower than the outside before the concrete floor was laid. I just wanted to check the integrity but I am sure it’s strong 😀💕
Hi, I’m only getting rid of the small concrete ones. I have a whole stack of rocks if all sizes which I will use for repairing the outside walls of the house and as you say around trees and flower borders. I try to repurpose everything 😀💕
I love the fact that you are going to reuse those rocks in your land and the concrete blocks are the ones you want removed. Makes perfect sense 😃
Yes, you can do so many beautiful things with the granite rocks 😀

Yeah I totally agree 💯. Keeping the rocks would be better than throwing away that kind of beauty! WOW😢.
1. Rock garden/flower beds
2. Rock garden
3. Rock wall
So many great things to do with them, and they get to stay on the property they belong on.. 😢
I am only getting rid of the small concrete stones, but the beautiful granite ones. I will be using those for many things 😀💕

Stunning💯💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you! 🙏💕
Nice size rocks make great flower beds… and much more. I use small rocks in the bottom of my pots! 😊
Hi Lydia, those small rocks were concrete and not granite. I have a whole stack of granite ones I will be using for that very purpose 😀💕
Boa noite sua casa está cada dia melhor parabéns ❤
Obrigada Luísa 🙏💕

Thank you Barbara. I’m not looking forward to that job but I just try to focus on the end result 😀💕
The kitchen is looking great! The bathroom wall tiles are beautiful! Great job! 👍🥰👍
Thanks so much! 😊💕
Ahh I can’t wait see your kitchen. I love the pace of the project. I love how bright the house is inside.
Thank you!! 😊💕
I’d keep the rocks they might come in handy for many things
Hi Katherine, I’m only getting rid of the horrible concrete ones. I have a huge stack of rocks I’m keeping for many jobs 😀💕
Wish I had all your small and large rocks to border my flower beds and place big rocks in flower beds here and there for garden art. Great you can hire good people to make your project work for you. All the best to you!
Me too! I need to fix my stone retaining wall. Stone is expensive in my area.
I will repurposing all the beautiful granite rocks for sure. I was just getting rid of the small ugly concrete ones 💕
Wow Its coming on nicely, have a great weekend in Monsanto its Bank Holiday Monday in the UK and yes it's pouring down!
It actually rained a lot on Sunday but now the sun has reappeared. I’m hoping summer has now arrived 😀☀️💕
Collecting regional wines is a treat that you can save aside to share with visitors.
Nice idea. I already have a nice bottle of Port from Porto 😀💕
Be patient.
It’s all looking nice.
It's looking great, love the colours you have chosen and these bathroom tiles are just lovely xxxx enjoy the festival
Thanks Liz. Wasn’t it great they were already at the house just waiting to be used 😀💕
Starting to look like a real house now not just an empty shell. Have fun on your weekend away and looking forward to seeing footage of the festival
Yes, it’s coming together. First a house and then a home 😀💕
It’s all looking nice, they are making a nice job of the kitchen. And I’m sure the bathroom will look great 😊😊
Thank you Donald. Let’s see 😀💕
❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's going to be lovely ! Shredded cabbage makes a nice summer salad, tastier than lettuce 😊
Yes, it’s true. Portugal doesn’t really have that nice firm cabbage. It’s more like what in the U.K. we call greens. However, I do want to grow some chard too 🥬😀💕
House and garden are really looking like a home. Your workers are really quite good.
Yes, they are doing a good job. There is a lot of snagging to do but this doesn’t show up on video I think. But I’m happy 😀💕

The house is looking so gorgeous! Getting close to done! Have a great time in Monsanto. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦
Thank you Deborah. Now the appliances are going in it’s getting exciting. Just need to buy some furniture now 😀💕

Thanks Katy. It was great 💕
Quite the transformation! I wish our builders moved as fast!
Couldn't agree more.

Hi,Suzi
When the kitchen comes on sight you can say that your home is coming together.
Your builders are the best to advise you on the materials you can use again properly.
You're nearly getting there.❤
You are right Luisa 😀💕
Bom dia e bom domingo 😘
Those big rocks can go on the outside of your vegetable garden. I use rocks for gardens all the time, they work wonderfully.
I will certainly be using the rocks in the garden areas 😀💕
Will you have a small island in the kitchen ❤really beautiful job . Big transformation you did ❤
Yes I will be, as it will be my table too and a divider between the kitchen and living area 😀💕
Happy Mother s day.🌺🤗
Thank you 🙏💕

Thank you. There has been a lot of cloud and rain around the last two weeks but from today the sun is shining ☀️💕
Just be careful if you are going to chip concrete off granite - use goggles!!! I didn’t when I was doing some demolition of a stone wall and managed to really hurt my eye (it had to be sewn up!). Precious body part!
That sounds awful Amanda. I will definitely take your advice 🙏💕
Your house is looking Beautiful ❤️💙🩵
Thank you so much 🙏💕
Remove the “suckers” from the tomato plant for more tomatoes.
Thanks Janice for the advice about the tomatoes. I have removed a lot now 😀 🍅💕

Did I say floor, like you say strange. Thanks for the tips. I will do that with the tomato plant 🙏💕

Yes, isn’t it great. It’s mdf. The units are sitting on wood, difficult to see this from the video. Watch next week to see the colour I am using 😀💕
2nd like, first comment 😂 Any praise for that Suz? Only kidding 😂
old buildings often don't have foundations in the same way you'd expect a modern wall would. Often they were just built on the ground...
A lot of the stone houses here are built on a granite rock. I know the rocks of the walls go quite deep as the inside of the house was a lot lower than the outside before the concrete floor was laid. I just wanted to check the integrity but I am sure it’s strong 😀💕
Avez vous pensé à une note de couleur avec les meubles ou les carrelages? Bon courage pour la suite des travaux 😊
Yes, there is going to be colour 😀💕
Love your episodes. Did the new strimmer work. Would love to see it as difficult to work out?
There is a whole story about the new strimmer. I am waiting for a new one to arrive. Hopefully this week 🙏💕
❤❤😊
❤
Os móveis da cozinha ficam assentes no chão? 🫣 🤗
Sim a Luísa atualmente é, mas isto é apenas para o posicionamento das unidades 🙏💕
You could try using a hammer to shatter the concrete on your granite .
Thanks for the tip Richard. I will give it a go 🙏💕
Use those rocks to edge your flower beds and around the trees. They’re too valuable to just get rid of.
Hi, I’m only getting rid of the small concrete ones. I have a whole stack of rocks if all sizes which I will use for repairing the outside walls of the house and as you say around trees and flower borders. I try to repurpose everything 😀💕
