Your instructions worked just fine and I appreciate the help - only problem I have is that Pinsound isn't minimized when it runs so it messes with the layers of pinup. To start this every time I load my cab and minimize it? I dunno if I'm down with that. No option to make it do that on it's own from what I can tell.
Have you actually tried this with a Data East, Sega, or Stern table? All of my Bally/Williams tables work perfectly following your instructions, but the other manufacturers throw an error in PinSound Studio: "Unsupported Sound System".
I have 4 tables I used altmode 2 for. Red and Ted roadshow, t2, Addams, and theater of magic. All of these are bally/Williams. All my stern and data east tables that I want alt audio for use altmode 1, and there are specific files on the vpin universe for. Like back to the future, hook, simpsons, and so on. What tables do you want to use alt mode 2 for?
I have about 15 DE/Stern/Sega titles, and a couple of them have great PinSound mixes available (e.g. Jurassic Park). As far as Bally/Williams goes, I have 25 of those working with PinSound orchestrations using your video method. @@chipgt81
FYI, I figured things out. Pinsound for DE/Sega/Stern is only compatible with VPX x86. For these games I just set the alternate launcher in popper as VPX x86 exe file and now those games work perfectly with PinSound orchestrations configured as you outline in your video. As far as Bally/Williams, those work perfectly with VPX x64.
Thank you for the great explanation and making it easier to install with your files!
