2:01 I hear the Lord. Jon Lord lives! Thats reason enough for me to get one. As a guitarist, I play a little keys and wanted something to give me the ability to get that Purple Lord sound. Mine is on its way.
I love my Lex, when the preamp is on I get some (for lack of a better word) "organic" qualities on my guitar - I use this in place of my vibe occasionally... can't beat it for getting certain Stevie Ray Vaughan tones... an amazing pedal!
+Elmo Slack There is actually a MIC DISTANCE which controls the amplitude modulation of the rotating speaker. In the examples of this particular video, the MIC DISTANCE is set for close mic'ing of the leslie speaker where higher MIC DISTANCE settings would minimize the amplitude modulation you mentioned.
Very cool. I'd love to see a tutorial on how to set it up, especially with that master foot switch he's using on the floor. Great keyboardist, too! I see he uses the sustain pedal with the Nord organ settings....I thought I was the only one who did that!
The best leslie/rotary simulator IMO!!! I use it live with my Kurzweil K2661 and Yamaha Reface YC and also for recordings. Great sound and versatility!!!
@nateost As Rick mentions in an earlier comment, he's using the Favorite Switch as a fast/slow rotary speed control, but we unfortunately did not document the exact settings.
Man, with the prophet this thing is a beast

If you post any videos, we'd love to see what you are doing with the Lex :D
Awesome tones!

That was fun!
Used to own this for a DSI Mopho X4, sounded fantastic.

Awesome.
He used the Favorite Switch as a fast/ slow rotary speed control but unfortunately we did not document the exact settings! Sorry about that!
Awesome :D Thanks for sharing that. Please do a Video response on here if you have any videos of Lex to share!
Exceptional keyboardist Peter Dyer + Lex Rotary = You have to check this out! #strymon #lex #peterdyer
thanks to you!!!!
:-)
Awesome! :D
Sorry meant will u ever be doing a distortion pedal?
I have the casio xw-p1 will this lex stymon work on my keyboard
The Lex will work with any signal (including from your keyboard) up to +8dBu.
Yeahh! Very Jon Lord-ish... R.I.P. Jon!
no stop?
press and hold the slow/fast switch.
Squib Cakes!
I think the old G4 sounds better than the lex,but maybe its micing on the vid .
I have the G4 for my Casio wk7600 on my page.
I prefer neo instruments ventilator
this guy is so nasty!
Doesn't sound like a Leslie on the Organ at all. Wowowowowow. Neo Vent is King. BUT I'm sure the Lex sounds great on Guitar.

strymon that's good to know!
Neo Instruments Mini Vent II just blows this away. Not even close to a Leslie. In my opinion
really played nicely with the prophet
Cool Deep Purple tone at 2 min in!
there's a video of mine with detailed settings example!
:-)
Eh, a bit too much "ywohywohywohywohywoh". Sounds like an very accurate emulation of a poorly mic'd Leslie
+MorganEarlJones every cab is different... this sounds like the Leslie I play through every Sunday:)
4:05 sounds like "Paris" by The Chainsmokers! And it wasn't even out then.
Love it! Thanks for the keyboard demo! :-)
Well, I'M sold...

hold down "slow/fast" for brake - heard in the example at 2:00.
You guys have a great reputation but will u do a distortion pedal? That's my only fx I use besides od and clean. Thx.
Rad Sounds you guys at strymon are making. big fan.
The best leslie/rotary simulator IMO!!!

Thank you :)
Что за "имхо"??... Можешь на нормальном русском языке выражаться?
KILLER demo. That dude is a beast on the keys.
i know his father he is my band teacher
Is this compatible with the Casio cps700?
Yes, you can just connect the LINE OUT from that Casio into the input of the Lex.
OMG That Sound! 4:05
This sounds mighty fine, it's going on my to buy next list. Thanks for the demo
Check out the Neo Ventilator first.
GOD I LOVE THE NORD STAGE2 BUT THAT ROTARY IS DIVINE!!!!
@nateost As Rick mentions in an earlier comment, he's using the Favorite Switch as a fast/slow rotary speed control, but we unfortunately did not document the exact settings.
Tone is good, but there's kind of a seasick "wub wub wub" thing going on that's not very realistic

Not a big fan, my old Korg O3R/W has a better one in its effects. Sorry....
