    Sweet ride Steve! I learned how to drive a standard in 1968, using one of my older brother's '67 Mustang fastback with a 390ci motor and a 4 speed. When he left for work I would grab his keys and take it for a ride around the neighbourhood. Never got caught!

    Fantastic review Steve. Best on YT I've seen. I'm almost 18 months late, haha. Just bought the exact same GT with the same options(no stripes, sadly) this 22/7 but in Metallic Red. Loving it as it's my dream car and the Mrs is enjoying too. With all the options it has do you recommend driving it in all Sport mode (S gear, steering & exhaust) or I can mix the modes up? I Don't do drag racing and such. Having said that I pushed it to 175km on a remote highway last weekend,🤫😅my teen daughter in the back closed her eyes, haha.
    Also, you mentioned winter tires for the winter which makes sense but am in Vancouver so it doesn't snow that much here as in Ont. Do I still need to invest in winter tires? Keep up the great vids. Cheers, AJ.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks AJ, appreciate that! The red looks pretty sharp in the Mustang too but good to hear you’re loving it even without the stripes.
      I prefer all sport modes when I’m driving but play around with the modes until you find one that works. Depending on where you live driving in track mode could get you a ticket for excessive noise.
      Must have loved that 175 feeling! For winter tires.. it’s traction and difference in rubber build. Winter tires handle better in colder temps compared to all seasons so if it’s in the budget go for some winter tires and steelies

      1. If there's a heavy snowfall you'll probably get stuck

      Thanks Yigit! I'm trying to figure out which way I'm going in this exact scenario now.
      It's going to depend on your needs and budget. If it's your only car and you live somewhere where you get snow, the Mach E might make more sense. If you're looking for a fun spring to fall ride, the GT is fantastic!
      I was in a convertible GT last weekend and used a little over half a tank of gas, so about $50, for 250km of driving. The GT is thirsty but it also has the growl from the 5.0L coyote that you won't get in the electric. Mach E can be used year round in Canada but I wouldn't want to drive a GT in the winter.
      One thing.. if you're going for the manual transmission GT you'd probably really like the Mach 1 because of the TREMEC system!

    I simply can't understand the gt performance pack. First of all, for stock 19s, there's no point getting summer tires. All track guys will go for lighter forged 18s and if you choose properly, you can get ones that accommodate 6 piston brembos with 15" rotors.
