As a child of the 70's, I would call them a glam rock band. I completely missed the emo period in rock history, not sure what I was doing around that time. 😄But I do remember 80's goth and I can sense a bit of that too. Bottom line, I think they evoke memories from the past but with a very modern twist. They are a breath of fresh air.
Yes, the drummer is also a guy named Ethan (not an Italian name, to be honest) Torchio, then the bass player is Viktoria De Angelis (Danish mother), we have Thomas Raggi on guitar and Damiano Davis on vocals. These guys are our Italian pride, said by an Italian proud mama 😉
@@emanuelamarchetti9862 I'm afraid that that simply isn't true. Indeed, just the other day it was certified gold in Italy, so I would say that it's a pretty friendly reaction to the band's new album. Like for any band, anywhere in the world, there will be some very loud haters.
It's really hard to fit them into just one genre, which I think it's one of the best things about them! They take a lot of influence from 70s and 80s hard rock and glam, 2000s emo and alternative, a good dose of 90s funk rock, wish a dash of grunge and garage punk, all wrapped up in a dance vibe loud enough to fill stadiums, and colored with Italian references. It's a really fresh revival of a genre that has been gone from mainstream for a while, with a very contemporary aesthetic and no fucks given attitude that pisses off a lot of rock purists. We could use more of that! I wasn' a convert until I saw them live for the first time and they are absolutely fantastic. It was one of the best live shows I've ever been to. Electrifying music, no smoke and mirrors. Just crazy stage presence, high energy and an impressive wall of sound for just four kids with analog instruments. I also think it's super cool that they're very, very young, at 22-24. But you can tell they're close friends who have been playing together for years just from their chemistry on stage. They're just four kids who met in middle school (Thomas, the guitarrist, was just 13 when they started playing together, in 2015) and learned to play by busking in the streets of Rome. Now, they're Grammy-nominated. It blows my mind!

@@emanuelamarchetti9862 Ma perché dovete generalizzare in questo modo?! Solo per qualche hater?!
@@emanuelamarchetti9862 That's absolutely not true

Pls react to their performance of Gossip feat. Tom Morello on Jimmy Fallon Show.

The drummer Is a guy, a very handsome guy❤️
They usually sound as good if not better, live than on the track.
Ethan, the drummer, is a guy ;-)
I'm sorry for you, but the best song on the album is in Italian: Il Dono della Vita 😅
