We are now facing climate change. We are a tropical country, the Philippines. As a farmer, we used to follow traditional way of farming like waiting for the summer to end before planting crops. at present, we experience different climate. Even if it is summer, we faced heavy rains that caused flash floods. Extreme heat on the other hand, is killing our crops. Lack of water because our forests are destroyed by illegal logging and industrialization. What i did with my small farm, i built improvised greenhouses to grow lettuce. Lettuce is my main produce here since i am near the resorts and beach houses. I guess it's too late for us to return to the good old days but at least we can help slower down the effects of climate change at the same time getting ready to adapt the present situation. Best regards. we are one into this battle.
I fear that we should accept as a given that, if globally we do anything about climate change, it will be too little, too late. Greed and stupidity seem to be the world drivers just now. And I don't think that will change much any time soon. So in many ways we are on our own and can look for help from nobody but ourselves. I live in part of a country that almost certainly is out of reach of encroaching sea. I am probably also out of reach of mass migration. Here we have dry, cold at night, winters, and warm to hot summers with rain. From my reading I have the impression that the basics will not change but thing will just get more extreme. Colder winters with a lot of wind, and hotter summers. And either not much rain, or too much rain. We hear people talking about human race extinction. Ain't gonna happen. But it would be good if we prepared a bit.
While I agree we should continue to fight climate change, we're currently past the point of no return. There is currently so much CO2 in our atmosphere that even if every country on earth stopped polluting today, the climate would continue to change, so we need ways of adapting to these changes.
If we had started getting ready 100 years ago when Milankovitch warned us, we would be read first this deap minnimum we would have done well. But we listened to the alarmist so billions will die. The alarmist should all be imprisoned!
not all research is government funded, so much of applied science is driven by societal wants and needs. You should find out if climate is influencing the communities they mention in this video. I think you will realize that even more data and science is needed to fully understand the magnitude of climate change.

I want to become a envitonmentlist
Adaptation is not what we need. We need to stop this. Do not just accept it. Fight!

as if everyone would listen and to just "stop" something is not easy as you think. Therefore newer solutions are made for this climate change thing
I want to be a part of your journey, how do i get with you , please guide me .
