@ In a perfect world, yeah hopefully. Unfortunately from what I hear from the background sirens, it’s not gonna be around for much longer. Those sirens sound so much newer than this one
This is the first Whelen siren I ever saw when I lived in Montgomery back in the 80's. I also lived in apartments not far from there in college and the first time i heard it go off for a real tornado warning, a tornado hit the area and damaged the 2nd floor of one our buildings pretty badly! That siren has seen its better days now with that big hole in the side.
I don't think I've ever heard this on a Whelen. Very interesting testing cycle. The pitch is also very interesting. Not your stereotypical 435hz, 560hz, or 465hz.
Montgomery used to do Full Alert, Full Attack, but now for whatever reason they are shortening their testing time. The siren is on an Analog ESC-864 controller.
I'll go far if the siren is worth it LOL. I've gone as far as Kansas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Minnesota too (which I need to post sometime). Hoping to try Oklahoma and Colorado next year...and wherever the big storms hit
Nice to see an old analog 4004 still up and running. There aren’t too many of these left
Yeah hopefully this sticks around for awhile

This is the only analog one left in the system, it’s definitely inevitable.
Great video! Glad y'all were able to successfully get this one.
Legend says that Alabama water is created by the Alabama River, and that Alabama water, flows right into Alabama Pool.

That hole is questionable

Looks like the RapidWarn PC kind of glitched out during the cancel. Nice video!
Awesome test!!! These 475-ish hz analog 4004's have gotta be one of my favorites, too bad she's got that big nasty hole in her horn
Hopefully I see you next time.

@CentralVirginiaEAS Oh ok.
Yeah it should’ve been a short alert and a short attack signal
My town have these sound but on a different model siren siren tho. 0:10
That's one cool sounding Whelen! It's a shame it has that big hole in the horn.
What a old glitching whelen
spicy
dsrx do you do siren request
Were the glitched DTMF cancel tones coming from the siren itself?
DSRX100,
I’ve Always Wondered,
Do you Know what the Modulator Models are at the Base in Mt. Vernon, IN?
Not a base, that’s sabic. I think they make plastic products. It’s gated so we’re not sure what they have exactly, or a test time.
Ain’t no way you came all the way to Alabama for a siren bro😂😂 but this is a hard video
