Is it possible to somehow use the Amingo network remote control with the ColorScource 20 version?

My first thought was that it looks very much like an older brother to the SmartFade. And while I hated that console with a passion, I think the touchscreen on the ColorSource could fix a lot of the things that were wrong with the SmartFade. I'm interested to see if this becomes the new small community theater/high school board. I think it could, if it was at the right price point.

Would love to buy one of these..But unfortunately Comparing the price of this 1 universe Color Source to a nomad these days..The nomad 1024 2 universe is half the price and comes with augmented 3d capability

Is there anyway to control this console with a remote app? If not are there plans to develop one?

      Hi Christopher,
Actually, if you take a look at the video at 5:47, Matt introduces the the Amigo Networked Remote feature that is available for the ColorSource AV consoles only.
      Hope that helps.

The colorsource has flashbuttons but they feel more like the Number pad of an ATM if you understand ^^ ... I also looked for a solution for lighting more in my private time and for birthdays of my friends and stuff like that. So I don't want to spend too much money for the controlling.
I would recommend the Martin Lightjockey Software with Martin M-DMX / M-PC. If you want to have something to controll in your hands you can take any device that supports midi.
You could take a Novation Launchpad mini mk2, which is really cheap. If you like it more to work with an keyboard you could take an Alasis v25 for example.
If you want something with faders you could take akai apc mini, which works really good for its small size. Or when you want a bigger Version take the Akai APC 40 MKII.
The Software to use the M-DMX best is Martin LightJockey 2. It supports a control up to 100 fixtures and hast 2024 DMX channels.
I think this will get you the best solution for small money. You can map everything on the midi device how you can work best with.
I'm a bit curious. What do you want to light up? ^^

will this boardvonly work with colour source lights?

    • @ETCVideoLibrary
      @ETCVideoLibrary  7 років тому

Hi Keegan, thanks for your question. No, ColorSource consoles will work with thousands of different types of fixtures from many manufacturers! While RDM capable fixtures will be recognized automatically, the Patch screen shows options for Add dimmer and Add device. Pressing Add device will disclose the Patch Wizard and enable the user to select non-RDM fixtures (and their desired modes) from an expansive list. This index is also searchable so you can quickly and easily find the exact fixture type you are looking for. -ETCVideoLibrarian

Hello! Does anyone know if you can transfer a show file from an ETC Ion into this desk? I'm taking a show up to Edinburgh this year and have never used this desk before. Thanks in advance! x

      Hi,
There isn't a way for the ColorSource Console to import an Ion or ASCII show file, but perhaps you could use ETCNomad to use the Ion show file and Gadget II to output DMX to the rig? www.etcconnect.com/Products/Consoles/Eos-Family/ETCnomad-ETCnomad-Puck/Overview.aspx

Well... While I totally understand this kind of business model, I hate it.
Here you go, with your 20 LED PAR's (and a moving light !) in your bar/room/store, and you're looking for a simple solution to manage them in 'flexible' ways and do 'awesome' stuff with those once a year.
So someone like ETC or another manufacturer sells you a 'dedicated desk' for a few hundreds/thousands bucks ("without intimidating buttons or control wheels", yay !!), promising everything will be smooth and easy...
Then you realize you need to actually understand and learn stuff to get it work, and you manage to allow the intellectual ressources and time needed to use 1% of the (already limited) solution you bought - and only 1% because... you do not actually have so much time-and-ressource to allow to this task and, well... hopefully, at this point, you understand it's not your job after all.
So maybe you'll end paying a real tech for a day of work, asking him to configure some basic cues on your awesome desk nobody ever used and nobody knows, while it could have been done in 2h with a 70 bucks dongle and the pc you already use for MP3's.
    ... Or am I missing something ?

+Charles Hoebanx This is a really innovative and solid all-in-one device to service a client base that needs this product in the low-mid market pretty badly. The fact that a console this small and sleek does moving lights, FX and cue stacks as well as ETC always delivers is pretty choice, considering their track record. The RDM features are actually really intuitive because it's plug and play for setup, and operation is built to be simple and elegant. I thought they went over this pretty well, really excited to use these in the future.
