I posted the shiny Hall of Fame on my twitter! - twitter.com/TionUA-cam
Well fucking done, bro 👏👏
and it’s a male!
I a viewer appreciate your stealth call to action and promos, good job
pretty sure the reason your bulb beat the char is cause shinies have perfect IV's in gen 1
The epic starter battle at the end is just a cherry on top for this video. Thank you so much for the time and effort!
For those wondering, whether a move is physical or special is determined by typing in Gen 3. So in the case of Pursuit, dark type, it is considered a special move. Coming off of base 61 special attack for Fearow against base 85 special defense for Alakazam, the move won't do much
way i always remember it is every evee type plus dragon is special(obviously including post gen 3 evees)
Plus pursuit does more damage if their switching out right?
Really got to wonder what they were thinking when they decided dark would be special. Especially when you look at the lineup of og dark types it's kind of ridiculous that most of them can't really take advantage of their typing. Ghost is kind of weird too being physical but my theory on that was it was to be more effective against the main psychic threats of the time who had pretty low physical defense like Alakazam. Not that it made a difference since lick was the only non-fixed damage ghost move at least in gen 1.
@@mandogaming1313 yeah it sucks that gengar shadow ball doesn’t use his best stat
so that means normal, fighting, rock, grass, ground, ice, bug, flying, and steel have physical moves?
“I end up catching clefairy with my very last Pokéball”
*clearly shows him using his second last ball to catch*
Shit like that brings the whole video into question
@@HerohammerStudios Agreed. Unless he streams everything this might as well be an action replay / gameshark video.
BRUH. You for real?@@retrofeniks7635
@@retrofeniks7635 Whoa, my second video I've seen of his and didn't think about people doing that...kinda skews me of watching more of these type of vids
@@retrofeniks7635 Considering he has multiple videos with this lets finish the game with only shiny mons theme and the fact that its gen 3 ( people with proof showed like 7 shiny mons grinded during 9 years ) i would assume that this vid is more fake than real. He doesnt even show his face, wouldnt you make clickbaity fake vids to get 1 mil views?
I love how the most replayed part is the Shiny Snorlax, people were looking back at the normal snorlax to compare them 💀
lol, i did the same thing
i wish it was purple or red or white @@kaiogomes8363
i love it cause i did do that but mainly cause it seems like the shiny is closer to the color of snorlax in the newer games but maybe my eyes are just off now a days
Really unnoticable shiny for a cool pokemon
I did that too 😂
"No Overleveling"
Ivysaur: Imma pretend i didn't hear that
14:07
Remember, in Gen 2-3, all Dark type moves are considered to be in the special category.
Also, Alakazam's special defense is definitely nothing to laugh at. You CAN, however, laugh at Fearow's subpar special attack.
7:50 says no overleveling and then beats gym eith a highest level pokemon of 24 with a lvl 29 Ivysaur
This is awesome! I've been watching a fire red walkthrough and came across this video for the first time the dedication is insane major props to you!
He's back! Love the content. Appreciate the time taken to do such a cool run.
I can't imagine the rage and frustration that went through your mind trying to find the Shiny Pokemon.
SmallAnt did a shiny only run as well
as a shiny hunter myself you dont get mad at anything you just sorta go crazy after a few months and then when the shiny appears you get happy
@@4EverBanishment stop promoting other youtuber like that, so rude.
Its fake. He used action replay and a save editor, trust me. It's smart honestly, easy way to get footage... but he made a mistake editing the video. You can tell. At 15:05 he opens the Lapras but it suddenly skips from being Naughty and not Shiny to Naive and Shiny. My guess is, he just mis-edited the video by 1/4 of a second there, he tried to make it look like he really got a shiny from that Lapras but, after a few tries he used the editor to turn it shiny.
@@Moneytakerbaby that’s not proof of cheating lmao
I adore how you have the patience to shiny hunt but not level up some of yours monster to atleast 55 each lol.
To be fair, he really only shiny hunted two. Resetting on given mons is hardly hunting.

Have you considered I simply cut to when I got the shiny
the lapras changes from normal to shiny, wth are you on about
@@TionOriginal
I think we've all considered it and logically determined that you're using a sped up emulator and just cheating shinies in for views.
@@TionOriginalBro you could've just show us the when you got the shiny instead of cutting to it.
I watched 4/5 of your vids and liked it. I recently subbed too but now this vid really screws me over. Im unsubbing sorry
The Snorlax shiny is so underwhelming lol, awesome video. Such a commitment going for all shiny's, I definitely don't have the patience for that lol
This is the first video of yours that I am watching. I'm not even done watching the video and I already had to hit subscribe. I love the determination and perseverance you showed, especially considering how long this took. Definitely excited to see more.
I was playing FR a couple years ago and did 3 soft resets for a plus speed nature on Eevee and got a shiny. I was so hyped. I ended up sending it to Ruby to evolve it into Esoeon and yes it was a plus speed nature, too.
0:41 - no over leveling
7:58 defeating a level 24 Raichu with a level 30 Ivysaur
yea seems like the only rule was only shinies xD
I was looking for this comment lol
I just booted up a save file of fire red to nuzlocke and I got a 1ST ENCOUNTER SHINY BULBASAUR i swear I didn’t even soft reset once I was absolutely speechless just thought I’d share the luckiest thing to ever happen to me in Pokémon

Same. Especially insane how he cut thousands of attempts into this short video so we can enjoy.
watch the lapras editing error (15:10) , this playthrough probably only took 3h to make, at most.
emulator + pokemon editor, maybe even action replay codes to make certain mons spawn..
@@TakeasRealm Interesting. There are quick cuts but what exactly does that "edit" reveal? Just curious. Could you give some details?
@@TarikAI noticed it too. It first shows a non shiny Lapras with a different nature and hp value than the one shown in the next frame. The cut doesn’t make sense to me because the footage of two Lapras summary checks has no reason to be right next to each other as they don’t happen back to back. Could be nothing, maybe just forgot to record the actual summary check of the shiny and just spliced a previously recorded check in.
This is my first video I came across from you, the UA-cam algorithms are kind to me cause this was awesome! Great job man keep it up
The helix fossil did its job
Impressive challenge! Takes a lot of patience to get any single shiny, let alone 6! Well done!
14:20 the Charizard was tough, but the Gyarados was truly intimidating
The time and dedication is worth a like from me. Great commentary as well
awesome video! thanks for making this even if it took so long, you're a real one
I appreciate that!
as a kid playing pokemon in late 90 and early 00 i didnt know the existance of shinies even red gyarados i thought was like that for the story. having played through many runs on red, blue even yellow, gold, silver, crystal , ruby saphire and emerald. im talking about countless hours and runs. i only remember encountering a shiny sneasel on crystal and accidently killing it. I didnt know why it was like that and trying to encounter it again in the same grass but never happend. I imagine how painfull was this video to make! cheers my guy !
Really wanted to see the shiny at the Hall of Fame. You’re persistence is admirable. Well done.
It's on my Twitter!
Very impressive bro. I cant speak for everyone but I greatly appreciate your commitment, as im sure everyone else does. Bravo!
I appreciate that
I completely forgot who you were and that I was subbed. Good to see a new post.

Great video! I love how dedicated you are, a lot of other youtubers change the odds in these challenges.
Ha
shiny hunting has a name for this already, its a badge quest! congrats on the cool shinies!
Floofer, the great hero with his metronome and what an epic battle the last one was: starter vs starter. I loved this video!
3:07 Why using leech seed is a silly idea? I think it's a viable options considering it took 8 turns to kill and you have only 5 pokeballs. The catch rate would be significant improved if you could kept the clefairy sleeping with hp even at half.
My understanding is the catch rate formula has a much higher impact from statuses than from HP. At least it was that way in gen 1
This was so cool, you have the patience of a saint!
Using Leech seed would've been fine on the clefairy because it wouldn't have fainted before you ran out of pokeballs
This was my thought exactly, and I instantly checked the comments to see if anyone else noticed!
@@74potions For real, leech seed and sleep powder are the perfect combo for catching stuff without killing them in one hit.
I'm glad it's not just me, the way he said it would be "silly" to leech seed it made me think that he realised after the fact and didn't want to look dumb.
I played every pokemon game, some of them multiple times and never saw shiny in the wild so the only right thing to do is to watch this vid from start to finish without skips :D
this is amazing! what a great story of luck and perseverance!!
“You don’t get to be champion of the league without learning how to spam Full Restores!” -Champion Lance, Pokémon Golder.
I beat Cynthia in shininh pearl by spamming revives and having lvl 100 pokemon from other games
Great stuff Tion. Thanks for the effort I know this took. I can’t imagine the shiny hunting grind 6 times.
Don't attempt this
@@TionOriginal oh but i will
I remember telling someone in college I loved Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I had only read it once and watched the adaptations of it, but I loved it. Anyway the guy I told this too immiedtly was like okay quote it...on the stop tell me a quote of if to prove your a fan. I also got into star trek in my 20s and fell in love and told a coworker I love it and called myself a Trekkie. She said I can't be a Trekki like her because I didn't watch it when it came out and was a new fan.
You my friend have godlike patience. I've only had one successful shiny hunt and it's because I was lucky enough to get it on the first day
Awsome video mate, i respect the commitment :D I just wander why didn't you show the hall of fame picture ;p This is the best way to flex your full shiny team because it's the only time you can actually see all the sprites next to each other.
Bro…you had THE MOST LEGENDARY journey of any Pokémon trainer. Thank you for the time and effort put into everything. It was such a treasure to ride along with you 🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽👊🏽
"No Overleveling"
Proceeds to Overlevel Surge by 5 levels
You put so much effort in! Danke for these videos❤!
>no overleveling
>6 levels above Lt. Surge's Raichu
Great vid though, respect the grind
Just seeing all the shiny sprites makes these shiny runs my favorite. Maybe a shiny run on pokemon black 👍🏽
You made the critical mistake of not leveling eevee up to learn bite before evolving it into Jolteon, in gen 3 dark type moves are special so having a 60 dark power special move makes it so you can sweep Agatha. Love the video my man🤙
The shiny colors look so vibrant and crisp. I miss these older games
You are still allowed to play them.
@@prawngravy18Shut up
Yeee when the sickness went around, just before things got hairy, I ran to a local retro gaming shop and copped Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, leaf green and fire red along with 2 sps and a trading cable. Such crazy nostalgia. I made this brief comment on another comment section but if you ever get a shiny gastly, do NOT evolve it. Get that beast to 100 as a gastly. 👌😂
One of my most favorite top tier videos ever that I have watched. :)
The move you hated to keep ended up saving you 😂😂
This was super cool! Thanks for grinding this crazy challenge 💯

Caught a shiny Bidoof while watch this video. Thanks for the luck haha!
Congrats!
Ngl, it would have been deserved missing that Clefairy for being that stupidly unprepared .
Good video Tion. I actually got a shiny in my Emerald Nuzlocke today. I've been looking to Thief a Dragon Scale off a Horsea for a Horsea encounter that I got. I ended up finding a Shiny Sharpedo while doing that. If I didn't look at my game screen I would have fled from it since I was fleeing from Sharpedo and Wailmer the whole time. Same Nuzlocke also has a Shiny Spinda so I think it's lucky. Anyway please keep up the great videos.
If I remember correctly, shiny sharpedo looks awesome
19 hours just to START the game... that alone deserves a sub... holy crap
I can’t believe that Snorlax’s shinny design is just a tad shade bluer than it’s original lol
Actually, if you look at FR/LG, Snorlax was originally green/greenish teal, it makes the bright blue stand out a lot more than the modern 3d models.
THIS ACTUALLY DESERVES A LIKE, A SUBSCRIPTION, THE BELL ACTIVATED ( 😂), A COMMENT, you know? I don't even have the patience to LOOK my pokemon nature, so much respect for this Man
You are the best
The sheer dedication and patience to do this. I am humbled.
Bruh.. props AND respect for pulling this off.. including that Clefairy.. that alone is just insane..
Man there is no way you legit found a shiny Clefairy in the wild. Clefairy on it's own has a 1% encounter rate where you found it. The odds of finding a 1% encounter rate pokemon and for it to be shiny is 0.000000122% or 1 in 819200. To visualize it better, there is a guy with a bot that is 24/7 hunting for shinies in Pokemon emerald and it got one encounter with the same rates after more than half a year of non stoping wild encounters. There is no way you legit found one in the specific way you did.
He also said that his spearow took “8% of the year” which is 701 hours and if you calculate how many encounters he does on average which would be about 500 an hour then take into account sped up it would be 750 at 1.5x speed up which means he would have to do 525,750 encounters for this spearow which is 64 times over odds and statistically impossible
A more reasonable calculation would be 2 hours a day for a month which would be 46500 which is very possible but both of these calls were on the lower side of encounter rates
Also the way he shows the encounters is weird to me getting rid of the slide over the screen all just feels weird to me
it’s not impossible just insane luck though
First time here and i am happy that the first video i see is thia one. Congrats on your shinies and your journey/grind!
The reason why pursuit did so little on your Birb is because in Gen 3, dark type moves are special. Fearow has a terrible special attack, alakazam actually has a pretty good special Defense stat, and it’s a 40 base power move without stab. The base power increases to 80 because of supereffectiveness, and using your special attack, it’s a very weak move. Aerial Ace is 60 with stab, so 90, which already beats pursuit. In the same time, its a physical move, and alakazam has a garbage physical Defense stat, while fearow has a pretty respectable attack stat.
bro said no overlveling then comes vs lt surge with level 30 ivasaur
TION! I MISSED YOUR CONTENT SO MUCH!!! i finally found your content on yt, i found you from twitch a while back and would mess around with bee back then. good to see you upload again!
teaowu content was severely missed
I’m so tempted to do this myself since I love the gen 3 sprites but on a physical copy of the game it would take forever….idk maybe I’ll still do it who knows
Got shiny Charmander! Now to grab 5 random encounters from various places around the Kanto Region.

thanks for watching all the way through
Let's be real, you just cheated those shinies. Can't imagine how people can believe you.
Hi, I just found your content, and I am enjoying it so far. Fastest I've ever clicked subscribe
the odds may not change when using increased speed, but a lot of purity of the challenge is lost when you can encounter several times as many pokemon per minute
disappointing
did you not see the part where it took him months? Wild
@@johncalabria1607So? shinies are so rare that it should take even longer than that.
huge props to you dude. i'd never do this in the history of ever
That ending reminds me of my first time through Pokemon Red, except my Venusaur was out of all PP and the final struggle left me at 3hp
Wasn't shiny though, those didn't exist back then.
Drinking game: Drink one shot every time he says "ends up" 🎉
Something feels off about some of these encounters. The Cleffairy and Spearow encounters are cut in. We don't see you encounter any normal pokemon before or after encountering both of them. The Eevee and Snorlax are SRs where we do not see the game go from the previous nonshiny encounter to the start screen to the shiny. The Snorlax one is cut in from the previous nonshiny to the save game continue screen, but no start screen. And the naive shiny Lapras SR is cut in over a naughty normal Lapras. I understand that recording every waking second of gameplay for these runs is a lot of work and disk space. But the ways you have cut in some of these shinies, especially the Snorlax and Lapras, leave me with a dishonest impression.
Oh wow. I wouldnt have the patience to endure the torture that is shiny hunting in these generations. Respect
I don't understand the purpose of shiny hunting on an emulator. Besides speeding up the clock, you can't trade them, so is it just a waste of time? Plus, not saying you did this, you can just add a script to get a shiny and just edit the video to make it seem like it took longer. Unless you stream it. But you, theoretically, can still manipulate it to make it easier.
Even if he does, it's just a video for fun. Don't be such a downer, bud
Honestly this dude is whining for what@@nickgenova
Why you being a downer?
I love how you end up with completely different teams each time you do this challenge. Shiny snorlax is so disappointing though, you can barely tell it's shiny. If I encountered it I would have probably reset🤣
Why don’t you use potions to heal your Pokémon?

0.012% chance per encounter... and you hit it 6 separate times. That's insane amount of dedication!
Purple Lapras edit was nicely done
elaborate so I can make fun of you
When I clicked on this I thought, "If this guy is going to use the next 5 shiny pokemon he catches to beat the Elite 4, that is going to be impressive." Then I realized he planned out Snorlax, Jolteon, & Lapras + his starter only means he's getting 2 randoms... still crazy impressive but not as random as I thought. Then the randoms he gets turns out to be Clefable & Fearow, two pretty strong pokemon honestly, with one being a flyer
Wow! Thats a lot of patience there! Now I wanna see if you can do Catch shiny Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres and 1 of the legendary beasts(depends on your starter pick)..I tried catching that shiny legendary beast but my patience runs out so I ended up quitting..I subscribed and waiting 🙂
I hope he does this
Have you tried doing a Nuzlocke of a pokémon game? Might be a cool challenge for you.
- You can only catch the first pokémon per route. (you can skip a pokemon on a route if you caught it already)
- if your pokemon faints, it dies and you cannot use it anymore
If you have, try doing a hardcore nuzlocke. Even more restrictions.
- No items in battle
- Level cap is the next gym leader/boss battle
- play on set mode
