What I love most about Heimerdinger is that even after Jayce and the council sending him away, with the years he’s spent reflecting, he feels that he failed Jayce. “How could I forsake a brilliant pupil? Again?” The optimism he has now is a product of Ekko and seeing the Undercity. I can only imagine what he will accomplish in his next life.
I'm glad Madison noticed the necklace having their pictures in a flower pattern. And you may not have noticed Powder had a single red strip of hair in honor of Vi in that universe. Also, the lore of Yordles like Heimerdinger is that they are immortal and if their body dies, their soul is respawned in their home city of Bandle City, which isn't in runeterra, but a spiritual realm, but they sometimes come through portals into runeterra. So perhaps heimer will find himself back there again.
But if heimerdinger can go to bandle city from this alternate reality and then come back in the actual reality, then doesn’t that mean that yordles have access to all alternate realities ? That seems quite far fetched. I think he’s just stuck in that alternator reality even after respawning
@@MRST0R it's possible that in this universe, Heimer wasn't the one (at least) who founded Piltover. It could be possible that all across dimensions, no the same yordles exist more than one and maybe they're the reason why dimensions are different from each other. He could have possibly made a name for himself in those 3 years he got sent here. The only evidence I can really think of is that in this alternate dimension/reality or what-not, I don't think I have seen the female yordle that owns/works at the brothel from the lanes in the original timeline. Quite far-fetched still, but I suppose it's my head-canon since I really liked the in-game yordle's lore.
This is definitely my favorite episode of the season, its so beautiful 😍🥺😭 I'm so happy to know that at least in one universe Ekko and Powder (Jinx) are happy together 😍⏳💣💚💙
Jayce probably couldn't join them in that world because that Jayce died. Remember in season 1 when Jayce was going to commit suicide? He probably went through with it since it his unstable hexcore that exploded and since it already had a casualty (being Vi) Viktor never advocated for him.
I like the parallel between Ekko’s and Jayce’s experience through the Arcane. In a way, the universe they end up in is a making of their own. Jayce’s vision from the beginning is all about creating world peace through control, whereas Ekko’s vision is about giving people what they need to live a peacefully. What I find fascinating is that they both somewhat realized the pivotal moment that led to this outcome… for Ekko is giving up on Jinx, and for Jayce is giving up on Viktor.
It's also a testament to Ekko's character that he goes back to his universe for love because there are people who need him there, while Jayce wants to go back full of hate to kill Viktor, so he wants to stop violence through violence
This timeline's Powder is wearing Vander's bracelet as a necklace. In our timeline, Vi was wearing it. We can see it in Vander's flashbacks. That's kind of the moment I realized there was no Vi here. This is just the sweetest and the most painful episode in my opinion. Oh, and please check out the translation for Stromae's song. It's beautiful.
The strength it took to leave that world behind to go save your own. Better man than me, truly the boy savior. In a way, this was like the ultimate closure for him. Now, to set things right
I thought I would like just let you know, in league of legends lore, Yordles are technically spirts. They can't die and technically are "immortal." Their spirit just returns to Bandle City which is dimension that only Yordles can only travel back & forth to. Unless Riot are going to retcon their own universe lore and rules since Arcane is cannon.
Halfway into this episode I thought Jayce got dropped into the future of same universe as the others, and whatever Ekko and Heimerdinger did to get back destroys Piltover. Then at the end I thought maybe alternate Ekko and Powder continue the Hextech research and that ends Piltover. Hope that’s not the case
those robot Manneqines (or whatever they are) remind me of the mannequines from Little Nightmares 2 but more scary especially when they slowly approach Jayce behind him
I think its heavily implied that the alternate universes ekko and powder are in fact a couple. If you pause the screen during the episode in powders hideout you can see notes on her desk with hearts and "i love you" on it. Also theres powders scribblings in ekkos notebook with all smiley and hearts, which i think "only friends" wouldnt do. Also pretty sure that this universes ekko kissed powder before, which is why our timelines ekko says the famous words aka the episode title. Theres also a couple of indicators that implied that powder even realized that smth was off with ekko. she looked very interested at ekkos notes where he drew 2 souls connected through an infinity sign, hinting at multiple dimensions. also that she didnt really look shocked when she saw a "clone" of her ekko, which was our ekko, shortly before vanishing.
because ekkos reality needs him. he would just be living in a lie. going to that reality showed him that there was more he needed to do, to make up for giving up on jinx. if he stayed, he'd only be running.
Did nobody realize that there is no reason to believe that Jayce ended up in a different universe? We know they all arrived at different times, like Heimedinger theorized, and (spoiler from ep 9 incoming) Jayce meets an old Viktor, hence simply arrived in the future of the same universe. But how this universe ended up like that if when Ekko came, there was no Hexteck? Well, Ekko is the one who showed to Powder how to make Hexttek, and we see at the end she has crystals. So yeah, Ekko dancing with Powder was cute, but the most important part is that by ocming there, he condamned her and his entire world to death.
Probably not. Jayce is likely dead or exiled in the timeline Ekko and Heimerdinger went to, but that's definitely him and his hammer on top of the hexgate tower in the bad future. Not to say that Powder getting Hextech isn't going to cause problems, but at last not that specific one
@@CarbonMage We have zero information about the whereabouts of Jayce in this alternate timeline. I have a hard time believing he would brag about magic at his trial if a kid had died. And this is his pursuit of magic which led to a severe punishment, as going against the ethos of the city was punishable by exile. On the other hand, we could even wonder if the person holding the hammer is Jayce anyway, as travelling between parallel universe is a spiritual thing and not a physical one, people inhabiting the bodies of their counterpart. And it seems that Powder wouldn't be the source of the issue anyway, just as Jayce wasn't, Viktor would, eventually. The young engineer recognizing the potential of Hexteck might be an occurence in several timelines. Really, there is nothing pointing at Jayce going to a different universe. The only rule we have, that they all arrive at different times in the same universe, is fullfilled considering that Viktor is old in Jayce timeline.
@@MN-vz8qm Victor would presumably have died of his illness without the hexcore available earlier, but there's enough questions around the mountain rescue timeloop that I'm wondering if we'll eventually get some info on authorial intent. Jayce's bad future feels like it follows from the show's normal timeline, but you're right that we don't have hard information
Damn straight they are. But imho…. it felt like the writers weren’t trying to do Vi any favors this season. Not trying to spoil for those that haven’t finished the season yet, that’s just what it felt like to me….after seeing everything, sitting and thinking about it for a few days.

The way they keep cutting from Ekko living his absolute best life to Jayce live his WORST is unintentionally hilarious. 🤣
ekko living his dream while Jayce over here trying to speedrun Elden Ring💀
Ekko having the best week of his life while Jayce is in hell's basement for like 6 months was the funniest bit of the entire show
At least ekko and powder are happy in one universe 😭😭😭

Either that or the explosion took him out too. He was kicking the door down when it went off.

Jayce climbed out of the fissures up to piltover with a busted leg. He had to go through what Viktor went through.
