I love Milwaukie and I also live here. Be careful however, the homeless are getting pushed in our direction from downtown. The Springwater corridor around our area is really dangerous as it is down by the river closer to Sellwood. Also the guy in the blue jacket at the beginning of the video does not tip his Uber drivers. I’ve driven him twice.

Lived in a disciple's guest house right on the river for a few weeks in Milwaukie until I found a place in Portland. Love that area!
It is such an underrated part of the city!

You mentioned milwaukie being a logging town. How right you are. That boat ramp where the boat caught fire in the 90s was where log trucks would come in and dump their load of wood into the river. This was right next to where the water treatment plant is now. I grew up there in the 70s.
There was a crane in place to get the logs off of the truck trailers.
Milwaukie born and raised. (34 years) I wouldn't call it affordable by any means, but I guess if you compare it to Portland. I'm surprised you didn't mention Dark Horse comics.
This was Milwaukie before the pandemic. It’s a little different now of course, but still a really cool place. Home prices have skyrocketed in the past year.

Unfortunately rentals are not syndicated through the MLS here and we cant help much at all with rentals.

Milwaukie was such a beautiful and affordable place before everyone and their mom decided to move there and totally exploit it. It’s sad that most of the newer people that live there act like they own the damn town.

Fun video. But it really misses the mark in a lot of ways. They really try to hype up “east lake Oswego”. That is ridiculous. Milwaukie is definitely a working class town,always has been. So don’t move to Milwaukie thinking it’s sophisticated cuz it ain’t. Just mostly good people trying to make it.

I use to live on oak grove. It used to be kinda affordable and chill. But kinda ghetto. I'd say it's cool place and chill. But definitely better places to live for sure. I wouldn't move back. Homeless are horrible now over there. Other then that. Oregon in general is not a place to move. It's trash and I'm glad to be out
