you can get catylitic converters cleaned out, much cheaper than replacing. always check the car out. Don't buy from 3rd level fly by night dealers. check with BBB first.
Bring your people with you never buy used cars without at least a 30 day warranty so you can take it to a mechanic make sure it states that if any major repairs needed have to be repaired by dealer or you can exchange car for another on the lot

if after two days the check engine light came on and they told you what you needed you shouldnt have left the lot without your money. shouldnt break down that quick. right there was the sign to fight to return it. not take it with you and keep driving
