My greatest joy in life right now is to watch sewing VLOGS from England! (Your’s is still my favorite). What you do with smaller spaces and limited funds amazes me. You and Nikki have inspired me to start sewing clothes for myself again. I’m starting to “connect the dots” to where you buy fabric and who the prominent sewists are. It appears that vintage patterns in updated fabrics and dresses are making a comeback. I LOVE that you name your patterns. Wonder why we don’t do that in America much? Colette Patterns is about an hour from my country home in Oregon. America seems to be all about quilting and dressmaking is not as popular except in LA and NYC (love MOOD fabrics for clothing). But we do have amazing fabric stores here (www.Fabricdepot.com) Congratulations on your sewing room remodel. YAY for you and your students. Taking a class from you and Nikki is on my bucket list!

Thank you Rachel, it’s a wonderful room. My husband sold his pool table and gave me the man room after I retired for quilting.
I was a seamstress/designer in the earlier days, became a RN, now I am back to sewing. Best addiction ever! 🧵😍

I would like to make a suggestion: You store your needles in a jar, so do I. When we get certain medications there are little things inside that keep the moisture out of the pills. I save these and add them to things like pins and needles containers. Keeps the rust away. Love your site.

I love your sewing room. About a year or so ago I decided to turn my guest bedroom into my sewing room, better known as “Dianne’s Happy Place” I also shopped at my local IKEA. What fun I had. But now I wish I could knock out a wall and make the room bigger. A girl can dream..... Thanks for sharing your space.

I live in California (I'm calilibrarian) so I live in sunshine. I lived on the coast in southern Oregon for a few years but couldn't hack the damp grayness. But in Oregon, I believe that it is year round with never a proper spring and summer. Having said all of that, I have always wanted to live in England. As always, a great show and I love spending my Sunday mornings with you girls.

Hi. I just discovered you as I am moving into a new house with a sewing room that will be a bit smaller than the one I have now so I have been Hunting online for Months for a sewing room(s) that I love and looks like something that would be fairly achievable with the items of furniture I have right now and gives me a longterm plan to work on ! I have found it in your video. I have the shelves at the top of the walls in present sewing room and definitely plan to put them in when I can in the new house ! You are the Only person I have seen so far that sees and appreciates the space that you and I have up there ! I could go on but I will leave it with saying Your sewing room is wonderful and one that I hope to fairly well replicate in the future. I also want to tell you that I am old enough to be your mum and have daughters of my own... You are a very pretty young lady. God Bless You .

That was so inspiring and uplifting to see you 2. What a brilliant idea and I'm sure many sewists will be inspired to create such a happy place as yours to teach sewing to others wherever they might be in the world. That Vogue Pattern magazine from 1956 was just LOVELY to see (I was born in 1954) - what an amazing collection you have Rachel and no I would highly recommend you NOT cut them up as tempting as I'm sure it is at times. I would take it to the printer and have them make colour copies of the pages you love and maybe make a collage for your wall? Just a suggestion :)

Love your sewing room tour, and I'm so jealous of your vintage pattern magazines. You have probably already thought of this, but you could colour photocopy (or photograph and print) some of your favourite pages, and then frame the copies. That way you could display some of the beautiful artwork without having to cut up the actual magazines.

I love the jars for little things. I have the same cubbie in my sewing room....it was my husband's space but he gave it to me for my sewing. I love how your fabrics are organized...I will try and to the same. Love your dress. Can you give the pattern brand/number? First of all: thank you for the tour!😊
I have not been following you for long, so maybe you have made a video of this I am going to ask:
Have you and Nikki made the hams yourself?
I saw also Nikki’s sewing room, and saw you both have different hams ( not the normal gingham textile).
I know it is possible to make it by yourself, using sawdust inside. Have you made them? And is it worth it, money wise?
If you have made a video, please give the link?
And Rachel, do not cut out of the old Vouge magazines! You will regret it! Rather make applications of woman in these nice outfits and frame them!
Happy sowing! Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
