- The Ohio State Buckeyes finished 7th in the final College Football Playoff rankings, and will face the No. 9 Missouri Tigers in the 2023 Cotton Bowl.
It's not the destination that Ryan Day and his team were hoping for at the beginning of the season, but it does present plenty of interesting opportunities for the Buckeyes as they try to end their 2023 season on a positive note and perhaps even get an early start on some positional battles for the 2024 season.

I can’t believe we are so pompous anymore. Nothing wrong with Cotton Bowl. Also disgusts me that everyone thinks it is ok for players to sit out. I am sure it will happen, but makes me sick. They didn’t seem to mind getting treated like kings and getting paid. Then just flip OSU the bird. Will enjoy seeing kids who want to play.

So the rest of the college ball hasn't learned how good mizzou is. Mizzou is not the same thing as in previous years. Not saying they will win but mizzou is definetly more motivated then whatever ohio state is going to put out. If this is a regular season game where both teams are motivated I think it would be tight but in this context I think ohio state has full control on if they want to put on a football game.

Mizzou's got the leading rusher in the SEC but also.... the country. You guys should watch more football outside of your bubble.

Secondly, if Day was re opening up the 2024 QB battle, KM jumps in the portal just made his critics right. You are the current starter by your take he beat DB and LK out why not compete if you already beat them and now you have 12 games under your belt? Maybe Biddle and Smith were speaking the truth. KM didnt beat out DB. Day mishandled the qbs.

I’m OK with mizzou. There were 3 or 4 better matchups but we ought to crush them as long as Day can motivate the troops. If we played OR it seemed good now, but we are gonna play them like every other year for now until eternity. I thought OSU should have been ranked ahead of UGA but why sweat the small stuff!

@@loserbabysowhydontyo Harrison is not the best WR in the country. He has awesome natural talent but he only caught roughly 50% of targets. Dropped some easy and caught some very difficult attempts. He doesn't run good routes. Quits when plays are not over. He's been over hyped this year. Was a much better WR last year. Some of that quiting probably had something to do with the impossible QB play for OSU this year.
