The best part of the Raging Brachydios brawl is getting locked in the arena will it! The feeling of it's pride not letting it be captured is something I love about it. AND WIDE 7 BABY

To expand, they all start at normal 5. The "Normal I" awaken bumps this to Normal 6, and the "Normal II" bumps it to Normal 7. The "Wide I" awake will give you Wide 5, the "Wide II" will give you Wide 6, and ditto for "Long I", "Long II" and Long 5 and Long 6. Furious Rajang and Raging Brachydios now give us Wide 7. So far as I know there's no Long 7 yet.

@@TheBrownestFalcon Usually there's a window of time where you can't meld those after a monster is brand new. Stygian Zinogre Skymerald is still unavailable on PC, for instance, since Stygian just got released.
I am also sad about the Gunlance too. Most only care about the shelling level and sharpness only. A lot of Gunlance is being neglected because of those 2 stats above.

I'm going to improvise a shelling build.
use a lucky voucher to make a 100% drop on what you are hunting. save some time.

It also boost the drop chance to 100%. Hence the name lucky, else they should have put gold vouchers.

Since we now have a Wide 7 gunlance from both Rajang and Raging Brachy, can we now make a Safi Wide 7 too?
Can you change the shelling type on safi gunlance, or are they just randomly chosen from the weapon loot table?
they are all normal, you can change it to either long or wide with an awakening skill

I use a damage build instead of a shell one, and use the shell mainly to reset the pokes, you should try out

That's what Long GL is about. You can play normal/wide if you don't like the pure shelling
