I'm glad someone mentioned this. The tone of aether sounded less commanding and direct and more so confused and sympathetic when he sees lumine with dainsleif, almost betrayed even. While on the flipside, lumine seems more filled with contempt and distaste twords the idea. Although the line of home being when they're together and meeting again. I think both of them did that really well. I only heard the en and jp dubs of this scene for both twins but I think all the VA's did this scene really well, each throwing in their own twists on how to portray this scene.

Idk about you but with Aether as the prince, this reunion feels real sad. He doesn’t sound like a villain and it seems like he really wants to be back with his sister but has to keep his distance until this all blows over. I kinda like Aether as the prince more. He seems more like a tragic hero being painted as the villain. Note: I’m talking about the Japanese voice acting.
Honestly the English voice acting is no different too, like the Villain Lumine still sounds like "TRY TO STOP US AND FEEL THE CONSEQUENCES!" While the Villain Aether is like "Please don't try to stop us, I don't wanna hurt you"

Genshin just went dark real quick. That thing about the gods destroying Khaenriah, just made me question Zhongli and Venti and the rest of the archons to come. Genshin's story just got even more interesting. I'm loving this game even more. Anyway, this is just sad.

As for Khaenriah, I suspected that the destroyed kingdom in the "We will meet again" Trailer was Khaenriah during the events 500 years ago in the Calamity and it will eventually be important but now here we are. It will be no surprise if the Celestial Gods are all Evil since the Archons are just puppets for them to control specific regions of Teyvat. However, this is probably a case that the Abyss Order maybe fighting the Celestial gods because they are evil but they themselves are evil as well because the Abyss Order cares very little about everyone else dying to achieve their goals.
idk much about lore, but my brother said that the viridescent venerer and the crimson witch of flames were also at the destruction of khaenriah. the artifact sets and their backstories are really interesting if thats true.
@@lordironhidex As of right now the Abyss' method of achieving their goal is questionable or morally wrong but I think in the end they will have a major change of heart and do it the right way. The Abyss and the Tsaritsa may end up working together since both parties have similar objective.

I have a different opinion though.. They may go through the same journey, but the conclusion they reached might not be the same MC might witness and understand the very same facts as his/her sibling did, but it doesn't necessarily means the MC will go down the same path

Lumine as the Princess is more cold with a tone that shows less emotion as if the bond Aether once had with her has distanced. In a way it also reflect their personality as siblings since Aether is the more passionate and more expressive sibling while Lumine is the calm and collective sibling
Everything and anything can be a death flag in Mihoyo's games. Heck, due to the sibling being one of the antagonist, I will not be surprised if they have the Prince/Princess murder one of the playable characters in a future part of the Main Storyline just to show how they don't care if they have to murder everyone on Teyvat to achieve their goals. Personally, I am guessing Amber maybe the character who gets murdered by the Prince/Princess if things comes down to this.
@@akoyisangpinoy4705 There is no doubt even the Archons are not safe from death since this is Mihoyo but I doubt the Prince/Princess will be the one to kill all of them. My best guess is that the traveler will be forced to kill some of the Archons because of their loyality to the Celestial Gods. The first guess in my opinion is probably the Traveler may end up being forced to kill Venti because the Celestial Gods sent him to kill the Traveler before he/she becomes a threat by giving Venti new powers from a new Gnosis they created. If venti fails to killed the traveler, which he obviously will, the Celestial gods may destroys Mondstadt as punishment even if Venti dies resulting in the death of majoirty of the Mondstadt NPCs and some of the Playable Mondstadt characters as well just so the Celestial gods can set a example for the other countries to fall in line with killing the Traveler.

Your way of looking at it most definitely feels accurate. With this version, you can tell that Aether as the antag is a bit more emotional and heartbroken. With the other, Lumine just seems totally emotionless and no love left for anything.
0:25 It's interesting how in this cutscene how our kin uses the same sword from the first time they used it, during their fight with the unknown god. The sword is different itself if you choose Aether as the protagonist. Lumine's sword is designed to have a arc or crescent cross guard and Aether has a straigth cross guarded sword.

What a great quest!! As expected. no explanations were provided.. Dainsleif is such an enigma, he despises both the Gods AND the Abyss.. He also seemed rather hurt to be called an enemy by your twin and looks like he hasn't given up on him/her yet.. On the other hand, failure to protect his nation from the wrath of the Gods is an extremely douche-y reason for his former best friend to hate him.. I doubt he has an elemental ability. As we all know he is from Khaenri’ah and possess the ability to track the field tiller’s eye that isn’t the elemental sight. He’s not a vision wielder, similar to us.
After this and hearing that Mihoyo like to make their stories take sudden dark turns makes me think that the traveler may have to fight(or even kill) their sibling. Just imagine how emotional that scene would be if they did it right.

they did the twins so dirty when you play as them, I play as Aether and I was sitting there the whole time like "let my boy speak his MIND Mihoyo" At this point in the story, the twin you don't choose has more story presence than the one you do choose it's so silly

This quest does prove that lumine is canonical younger than aether. If you chose aether as mc pimon refers to lumine as aethers meimei which is younger sister in Chinese. However, if you chose lumine like in this video pimon refers to aether as gege which is older brother in Chinese

Well true zhongli was ruthless before but not 500 years before the game. It was during the archon war and when he meet guizhong during those time he became kind.
I really wish the travelers had more in-game dialogue, like when we choose our dialogue when chatting with characters, the Traveler will actually speak.
To me, this quest only raises more questions toward Paimon's origins. She really wanted us to leave the place and we ended up not destroying the statue...and not even a word of report to Ganyu. While it's true that it was Dain's idea to smash the statue, it was only natural that we destroyed it after that confrontation now that we know the kind of danger it poses. Yet Paimon is so quick to drive us out of the scene. And the fact that Dainsleif himself doesn't argue with Paimon's existence is even more crazy. Even he doesn't seem to mind Paimon's weird nature. What the hell is she?
What if Paimon was also one of the Royal guards of Khaenri’ah but she lost her memory and was cursed like Dainsleif 🤔(I spelt Dainsleif wrong like 50 times please-)
I'm guessing that by the end of the story the mc will have to chose between the Abyss Order or the Seven (well, the ones that are against Celestia, which so far I guess will be Venti, Zhongli and Tsaritsa). Eventhough the Abyss Order is against the seven, I think that the actual gods they should be against are the Celestia ones, since I'm guessing those are the ones that actually destroyed Kaenri'ah
I really cried at this my mind was saying to me ' we've finally met the sibling we get to learn a little bit about what they went through but no me and my a$$ had to sit through this cutscene as its telling me to travel other places and then we'll fight" that doesn't make sense but it makes sense to me I was having a full on sad movie moment

I chose aether as my MC and I have to say Lumine sounds so demanding and very confident while aether here sounds like he is in so much pain and also sounds very emotional. Both VA did an amazing job. I like it how Aether and Lumine sound very different from eachother saying these lines

I genuinely think that the Lumine as the protag and Aether as the antag way of playing makes the story...How do I put this...More emotional.
It seems to be more of turmoil and heartbreak on both siblings, whereas Lumine as the antag just seems like an antag with a dead heart.

Your way of looking at it most definitely feels accurate. With this version, you can tell that Aether as the antag is a bit more emotional and heartbroken. With the other, Lumine just seems totally emotionless and no love left for anything.
0:25 It's interesting how in this cutscene how our kin uses the same sword from the first time they used it, during their fight with the unknown god. The sword is different itself if you choose Aether as the protagonist. Lumine's sword is designed to have a arc or crescent cross guard and Aether has a straigth cross guarded sword.

Both twins ( the one other than the one we pick) has their original powers. I guess combining all the elements gives them the power of light. So basically Light splits into 7 colours. 7 Elements.
Not really if you watch the we will be reunited trailer the twin still had their powers(the one who woke up first)
What a great quest!! As expected. no explanations were provided.. Dainsleif is such an enigma, he despises both the Gods AND the Abyss.. He also seemed rather hurt to be called an enemy by your twin and looks like he hasn't given up on him/her yet.. On the other hand, failure to protect his nation from the wrath of the Gods is an extremely douche-y reason for his former best friend to hate him.. Damn, how I wish I could question Venti and Zhongli right now.. :D
I feel like it's pretty obvious why he hates the Abyss: They've grown into abominations, and he despises them for it. He held them in such a high esteem, and seeing them this low now disgusts/ashames him.
I like how both Aether and Lumine's swords are different but kinda represent their personality

I doubt he has an elemental ability. As we all know he is from Khaenri’ah and possess the ability to track the field tiller’s eye that isn’t the elemental sight. He’s not a vision wielder, similar to us.

At this point in the story, the twin you don't choose has more story presence than the one you do choose it's so silly

This quest does prove that lumine is canonical younger than aether. If you chose aether as mc pimon refers to lumine as aethers meimei which is younger sister in Chinese. However, if you chose lumine like in this video pimon refers to aether as gege which is older brother in Chinese

since dain said that khaenri’ah was destroyed by the gods 500 years ago which includes venti and zhongli... the thing is i’m not sure abt venti because wasn’t he asleep in those 500 years due from what the game’s comic shows? he also knows much more abt celestia due to his reaction of vanessa asking abt it. zhongli.. well he was a different type of archon back then before he met guizhong he was much more ruthless. so he may have participated in it. it makes me sad to think they may have been involved w it tho 😭 that’s what i’ve taken up so far w the lore. i’m not ready for genshin to take a dark turn i also hope that theory of venti dying isn’t true... i’d sob 😕
Well true zhongli was ruthless before but not 500 years before the game. It was during the archon war and when he meet guizhong during those time he became kind.
And there we go again, we'll have to wait another 3 months to have a new story quest.
And after that, there are a lot of filler episodes would come (The remaining story quest)

I really wish the travelers had more in-game dialogue, like when we choose our dialogue when chatting with characters, the Traveler will actually speak.
This is why I chose English VA, because I love the Aether and Lumine name
To me, this quest only raises more questions toward Paimon's origins.
She really wanted us to leave the place and we ended up not destroying the statue...and not even a word of report to Ganyu. While it's true that it was Dain's idea to smash the statue, it was only natural that we destroyed it after that confrontation now that we know the kind of danger it poses. Yet Paimon is so quick to drive us out of the scene.
And the fact that Dainsleif himself doesn't argue with Paimon's existence is even more crazy. Even he doesn't seem to mind Paimon's weird nature. What the hell is she?
What if Paimon was also one of the Royal guards of Khaenri’ah but she lost her memory and was cursed like Dainsleif 🤔(I spelt Dainsleif wrong like 50 times please-)
I'm guessing that by the end of the story the mc will have to chose between the Abyss Order or the Seven (well, the ones that are against Celestia, which so far I guess will be Venti, Zhongli and Tsaritsa). Eventhough the Abyss Order is against the seven, I think that the actual gods they should be against are the Celestia ones, since I'm guessing those are the ones that actually destroyed Kaenri'ah

I really cried at this my mind was saying to me ' we've finally met the sibling we get to learn a little bit about what they went through but no me and my a$$ had to sit through this cutscene as its telling me to travel other places and then we'll fight" that doesn't make sense but it makes sense to me I was having a full on sad movie moment
