  • This client had his Marathon Prevost XLV2 0757 remodeled at Marathon Coach Inc. here in Oregon before bringing his rig over to us for a full system overhaul. We replaced an aging Marathon Prevost electrical system that was due to fail at any time with a top-of-the-line Victron Energy system that includes 2x 24V Victron Energy Quattro 5000VA inverters and an 800Ah 24V Victron Energy battery bank.
As Mitchell explains, this robust system includes some unique components that allow us to mesh the older factory system’s technology with today’s newest technological advances, including a powerful 24V Almott 350A alternator with a Wakespeed WS500 alternator regulator that will be this coach’s primary charging source. Installing this type of system is not for the faint of heart, but the experts here at AM Solar love the challenge and opportunity to work on these complex projects and deliver an outstanding, dependable product to our clients.
AM Solar specializes in installations for off-grid power systems and boondocking power systems. We have completed thousands of installs and are experts when it comes to van and RV solar systems. We also offer many solar installation products for purchase, including solar panels, solar chargers, inverters, mounting hardware, solar charge controllers, and more. Get a custom quote today:

Hello, I have 2001 prevost Liberty H3. I would like to have the same system and I would like to put solar panels on the roof. How much is that going to cost me I do not have AC on the roof

What was the estimated project cost. I have a 2002 Marathon I would like to upgrade.

    Very nice, Mitchell 👌
Have you guys done any research on the EG4 18K PV ALL IN ONE?
I'm looking to upgrade my Liberty Coach, but after designing my system with the Dual Quatro's as you've done in this Marathon, EG4 released the new 18K PV ALL IN ONE.
Now I'm thinking that's the way to go......any thoughts if any would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like something I would like to have installed in my garage. It’s significantly bigger than what we typically install in mobile applications and we don’t have any experience with it. We have encountered the EG4 batteries before, and built systems around them, but we don’t know anything about the quality. The specifications are impressive.

Thanks for your reply. That was my same concern, but the cost is actually less than 2 Quatro's. It's pretty impressive, and it's all in one.
Anyway, I'm still researching. I will keep you posted once I make my decision.

@@christianlucas6553 The low price is what concerns me. It seems way too low, like maybe I don't fully understand exactly what it is and some information is missing. The EG4 batteries seem solid, but I would like to know more about this.

DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse did a review on it. Looks legit to me. I've been researching EG4 for the last 12 months, and their batteries are 💯.
As for the 18K all in one, time will tell. But so far, it looks very promising. They even have a plug and play battery bank that will make you think twice about individual stacks.
Obviously, the victron line is tried & true, but things are moving so quickly in the off grid/solar industry. By the time you purchase, something far more efficient comes out within 2 years.
So far, I'm really steering towards the EG4s 18K all in one.
If I can attach the link, I'll send it. Good review, and Will is a sharp cat.

That coach has the room and the weight to put an elaborate system in but you can’t put that much weight into a van. But nice job 👍.

I have essentially the same rig with Trace Inverters. It’s a Marathon H2 2002 model. Can you contact me back and let me know how we can go about discussing a similar mod to my bus please? BP
