Regardless of nationality or culture, you have a story that shaped you, much like a tree whose roots keep it standing tall. The branches and leaves represent all the places you’ve been, the people you’ve met, and the lessons and opportunities you’ve experienced.
Like my Romanian roots and Canadian branches and leaves, I honor where I came from and am grateful for where I live now. On a day like today, Canada Day, I reflect on my roots and enjoy the place I call home.
