There's something truly magical about gathering around a crackling campfire, the aroma of delicious Dutch oven dinner wafting through the air. Nothin quite like gathering around the fire, sharing good food and making unforgettable memories under the stars. Can't wait to try these recipes on my next camping trip!
Outstanding video Rob and Jen - the soup looked amazing and warm for the soul too - looking forward to this tent with stove operational 😂👍🏻 - it all worked out though 👍🏻 - thank you and have a great week - cheers
You can improvise for missing tent poles but difficult to work around a missing stove pipe adapter unless you had some sheet metal. Once again a great meal in the dutch oven, its one thing I have and haven't taken advantage of neat tip to rotate over the fire to rotate the heat. Good old MSG lol. Love that tent the center pole and a few short poles to set up (key is remembering lol) my tent ⛺️ needs 7 sticks about 14 feet although I'm putting it up this year with 2x4 on a platform in a different location and hoping to get another tent as something portable. That was thick soup 🍲 looked so delicious 😋. Wait til you get my age 😅😅. Alcohol makes you feel warm before you freeze lol, been there and I felt warm lol. I prefer cool whe I sleep , Warm coffee in the morning great to start it off. I'd paddle up to so the ride coming back would be the easy part, unless it was like a trip I was in a few years go we went on the Bay Despoir highway and went into Berry Hill Pond , across Great Gull lake down Great Gull River into Norwest Gander River which we figured was a easy paddle to steel bridge except Mother nature decided to blow UP river if we stop paddling we actually would go up river had to paddle like mad men just to make head way lol. Jen you looked cold in the canoe at the end the shivering was the giveaway lol. Enjoyed the video guys ,hope you have an awesome week.
@tuckerandi putting your tent up on a platform and leaving it up is a great idea! We finally figured things out this weekend 🤣 A much smoother running trip lol. Thanks for watching 😊
Ok, now you did it.. I had to start writing down your recipes. Started a new notebook with your name on it...👍 You always make me hungry. You tent reminds me of our old ary tent we had growing up. It was a heavy brown canvas and heavy as ..heck. I can still smell the canvas inside with the sun beating on it... boy, it was hot in the summer😅 Another great video. Thanks for sharing your adventure
I don't think the canvas on this tent is quite as heavy as those military tents but it's definitely heavy and awkward lol. Writing down the recipes is a good idea. He has so many, but we are starting to run out of new ideas LOL. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it
Such a piss off when a site is left with garbage around. It takes very little effort to clean up and take garbage home. This time there wasn't too much around and we did clean up what we did find. Our motto is to leave every campsite cleaner than when we arrived. Thanks for watching!
@@pursuitforadventure just being cheeky with regards to your putting peppers in later. The “holy trinity” being a classic flavour base using onions, celery and peppers. Just some eastcoast jabbing 😉
Awesome video as always Rob & Jen . That soup looks delicious 🤤 What brand and size is your Dutch Oven please ? Also what do you put your spices in that fit that shotgun shell holder ? They look like test tubes ? Thanks for posting your adventures !!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Our dutch oven is a noname that we bought from Ecotrex. It's a 14 inch cast iron pot without legs and the lid has "sides". I took a look to see if I could locate something that would indicate a brand but there are no markings. Sorry about that! If you do buy one, make sure it is fire rated for cooking. Some you aren't supposed to cook over fire with. We would have paid about $150-$200 for this one.
@rickbrown4039 forgot to answer your question about the bullet case. We found these little containers at the Dollar Store. They were full of beads so we just threw the beads out and kept the containers. Works great!

Cleaned up that site a few times...crazy how people trash these places and don't understand why when access is taken away.🤦♂️

@craigofnot 🤣🤣 I figured it was something like that, but I wasn't getting it LOL.
Hot tents: Designed to be used in the harshest and coldest conditions, yet the hardest and most complicated to set up and get right. Go figure.
