Also when I came to Australia I kept my approach very realistic because independence means you are on your own i.e. manage study, work, cook, clean, groceries, manage finances and manage leisure time. I saw many students who got extremely depressed and home sick because they thought it’s only going to be party and later on they missed the comfort of their home where everything was effortlessly available. You’ll have a great lifestyle here but you have to work hard for it and it’s so worth it!
