Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre - Intro

Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC), is a special place of tranquility, rest and reflection located near Pocklington in the Yorkshire Wolds. We also have a Meditation Centre, book & gift shop at Gillygate in York City Centre.
We are part of the New Kadampa Tradition, the International Kadampa Buddhist Union, and are home to an international Kadampa Buddhist community who share a wish to make their lives meaningful by finding lasting peace and happiness from within and helping others to do the same.
The Centre is open to the public and offers a variety of meditation classes, in depth Buddhist study programmes, day courses, and weekend retreats that are suitable for beginners and those with more experience. For those attending our weekend courses, we also offer comfortable single, twin, and dormitory accommodation.
Grounds & location - Madhyamka KMC is within Kilnwick Percy Hall - a stunning Grade 2* listed building set within 47 acres of grounds with woodland walks, parkland and a lake.
The Wolds Bed & Breakfast - offers a quiet getaway with comfortable accommodation for guests.
World Peace Cafe is open seven days a week and offers a range of drinks, cakes and snacks - all served by our friendly staff.
