As a father of a 5 year old daughter, I wouldn't like anyone recording or photographing her, but if we are in public, we don't have special privacy laws because she is a child. At the end of the day it's not going to hurt if someone did record her, she has a crazy father, a ferocious mother and other family that will protect her with their lives. So let them crack on. I wouldn't try and infringe on someone's rights because of my insecurities.

Don’t think anyone will be rushing to visit Keighley anytime soon, great advertisement for the town, who would open a business there, it’s my nearest town and I don’t go anymore, I had witnessed a bag head shoplifting out of a main store I reported to security, pointed out the individual showed them the stuff he had rolled under his clothes there was a lot of stuff, all the security did was follow him out the store and watch him walk away !!! But carrying a camera seems much more of an incident, you cannot make it up !!!

It’s nice to see that the security allows smoking in this shopping centre! As a smoker myself I don’t go into shopping centres or spend any money in them because I can’t smoke, i live near the metro centre and since they banned smoking I haven’t been in the place.
They not suppose to look welcoming, they are there to be a deterrent with some knowledge of customer service, they are also covered by section 3 criminal law act 1967 which applies to the prevention of crime and effecting, or assisting in, the lawful arrest of offenders and suspected offenders. However in this situation they had it mixed up as the 6 youths were more suspicious as to a man walking around with camera which is legal unless hes causing alarm and distress which wasnt the case. As to the asian security officer, he could be in trouble for causing false aligations in regards to the guy filming, it would of been a different matter if it was a school and he wasnt a parent or a guardian taking pictures of kids but he was in a public place.

Hi Auditing Yorkshire. 2 to 3 years ago a member of the public got assaulted in Kingsgate Shopping Centre in Dunfermline West Fife. He was filming some video footage for his son. But the security guards showed themselves right up. So if you want to look it up as they were vicious from what I remember seeing on UA-cam. 👍

they seem to have a leaky roof problem there as well as attitude, i take photos of cones, they have an interesting collection of shiny looking cones, and i think i saw a disabled sign there that looked out of the ordinary. the local whitgift and centrale (!) are full of interesting things to take photos of, so having been asked (politely) not to take photos cos it's private prop, this is interesting. the markings i _can_ see in the car park are really tempting, but i havn't wandered around yet cos i didn't fancy arguing with folks, but...
