Hello, good day, I congratulate you, your video is very good, the Ineos is an excellent vehicle, especially the diesel version, greetings from Córdoba, Argentina 😊
Drive it off road or overland it and you will find it’s f…..g awesome! Didn’t find the turning circle an issue in the Gibson desert or the flinders ranges. The footrest works well when going up the Sir Fredericks Ranges or Victorian high country. Drive one for long distances, then comment on the comfort. It’s bloody comfortable. It’s great every presenter is trying to find fault with the vehicle. After all, it has to earn its stripes.
The left foot bump on the driver side is a dealbreaker for some, but I think people notice it more when the seat position is not correct for them. Adjust the Recaro seat forward or back, and up or down, and you can transform the driving position to a more upright sitting position. Helps enormously. BTW, that bump is where the diesel DPF filter is located.
Great content, really well shot and presented. Really looked into it as a serious contender but the spare in the tub and the lump in the foot well knock it out for me. Great work again!.
Looks like a great trip. Wish we could get some third person video of it doing obstacles. I would love to have seen it do the climb it was not supposed to.
They have grown on me a bit, and to their credit they have catered very well to the touring crowd. That said, they missed their brief of no-compromise off-road biased design. The wheel arches are quite small, the control arms are very short, the rear overhang on the Quartermaster is huge, the RHD version leaves the steering stabiliser very vulnerable. When you consider there was an existing company, also in England, that had already achieved the no compromise, fully customisable off-road bias design (IBEX), i get the impression that they were more trying to catch the rich European farmers that no longer had the Landrovers as an option.
Justin was in the front passenger seat when I took my first drive in a Grenadier in Perth back in October 2022. I have owned about 20+ vehicles and first time the MD had taken me for a test drive.
I like the look of them and they are pretty capable, I'd love to have on providing I can handle the footwell intrusion, given I have a bit of arthritis in my left ankle. It is great to see capability off road as the primary design focus.
Gday, overall I think from what I see and I 100% trust your word I bloody like it, there’s far to much technology and electronics in the later 4wd’s which in a few more years are going to be a major pain in the ass when it gets some age on them, going back to basics is what’s needed like an old LN hilux, awesome episode mate, cheers
Good to see the QM content. I’m a Grenadier owner in the US, so we drive on the correct side of the road and don’t have an issue with the footwell ;o). For the QM, it would be great if there were a flatbed option for a full camper buildout (and the spare would be up top or in back) - but payload might be an issue. Towing fine - payload more the concern. Oh yeah - and the MINOR problem that we pay a 25% surcharge on pickups and commercial vehicles, which makes it nosebleed expensive. I think it will go with a small group of enthusiasts, but the cost for the base will be as much as the cost for a fully-built out alternative.
But your steering wheel on the left side so that's not the right side most.people in the world are right handed so you yanks are backwards! The whole reason cars became right hand drive is because when roads were invented horse and cart riders drivers needed to be able to use their weapons while fighting enemies or bandits, roads were in Europe long before US, though somewhere Europe prob after WW2 changed to left hand drive we can thank you for that too since the liberation victors make the rules. Each to their own I have driven in the US wasn't too bad😂 Is yours a Petrol or Diesel, Petrol won't have the hump 🐫👍
@ You got me this time, Professor Moriarty - you evil Australians with your B57 Grenadiers and Bluey brainwashing American children to kill us in our sleep. Yeah - B58 for me - no option for B57 in the US and Canada. BMW wouldn’t give Ineos a 10+ year emissions certification - not BMW’s fault. It’s our regulatory bi-polar disorder regarding diesel in North America.
17:42 They call it a cockpit because it is a cockpit, just like you said, there is an aircraft theme, and also a maritime theme for starboard and port, or red and green lines. Plus all that matter is that men LOVE buttons, it makes us feel in control i suppose LOL Oh, and diesel is always better ....
Grenadier is a great vehicle, but I'm surprised you didn't even mention the BIGGEST negative, the Fuel Range. To be a proper Outback tourer it needs to have double the fuel tank and unfortunately there is no way to upgrade it even. By the time you load extra jerry cans with fuel and spare wheel, there is no room left for the set up. This video is more like a press showcase rather than an honest opinion piece. Thank for sharing the beauty of Ikara-Flinders Ranges.
@@Byaltair Well you will be happy to know a long range tank is actually available for these now, so that problem is solved! ☺️ There are also so many review videos on the Ineos that go in depth about all the pros and cons with all the info, so I just wanted to touch on the things I loved and the few things I didn’t while also showing the beautiful area we where in.
Great review, beautiful country i have yet to see. Like Quartermaster ute style, definitely be petrol V8, just wondering whats it 100km/lt fuel consumption?
I loved everything about them until I sat in it for 5 minutes. They will lose 50% of their sales to that giant lump in the foot well. Who ever signed that off during design needs to give themselves an uppercut.
@@intimatespearfisher yeah look I won’t argue with you on that one, I’m shorter so wasn’t an issue for me but can totally understand how it is a problem for taller people! I believe it’s due to the exhaust though.
When you’re new, and sit in the drivers seat, yes, you will notice the foot bump. But you also very quickly get used to it. A large part of it is also seat position - journos aren’t expected to play with the seat position much (forward, back, and up/down), nor are they to know the correct way to engage diff lockers and offroad mode. Get the seat positions right, steering wheel position set for you, and it’s a _very_ comfy car to drive _very_ long distances.
hopefully they find a way to get the cooler / radiator behind the bash plate out of the way the bash plate funnels ice and mud straight into the radiator also the steering dampener sits about the same Hight as the bottom of your front diff and will get squashed if your doing harder tracks. Will look awesome with a tray and canopy set up on the back
I keep looking at this! I’m thinking of picking up a Trialmaster. Thats after I get a Jeep 392.

Looks capable, thanks for the share

Great work, not sure it’s for me but I li’e to see modern cars be actually utilitarian!

This. That is why they will not get me out of my Gladiator.
Great idea for modern car design... More manufacturers should take note
i would be interested especially if there was a space cab/king cab/extra cab style be so cool to check oz in it for a lengthy time

These things are actually pretty cool ngl. Add a decent tray and canopy, and it'll be a solid tourer.
I agree! Was fortunate enough to get a sneak peak of this

I'll stick with the Mahindra Ineos interior looks to flash for me ! great gig

Love that you’re out flying your own flag now.

Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like that snorkel will cop a flogging off-road. I do like the overall look though
Turning circle is about the same as a 79 so if you want a little tighter (still 13.6m) you’d need a Gladiator… 😮
What is the song playing at about 21:30? Great breakdown of the quartermaster too.

When they make the Ineos Grenadier in a two door I'll buy one.

like it just wish had smaller cab and larger bed or tub say 6.5"
Czy mozna kupić już do niego, klasyczny hardtop?
I would rather buy a gladiator Rubicon but I like the ineos
Why didn't they put the spare underneath
Ground clearance
Kitten, you could sell ice to an Eskimo. You could tell me it’s $hit, but you like it……. Sold

lol if u got a problem with that u don’t deserve one!
The footwell “lump” is a result of the engine exhaust's location. There is literally nothing that can be done about it…
@@DrivenGarage_ Yeah I sat in it at the Brissy show for like half an hour trying to convince myself it wasn't a problem lol
