Here in the States, Guy is really underrated as an artist. He is so talented and his music speaks to the heart.
Loved your reaction sir. Guy Sebastian writes about real life. This was written after he learned his cousin was contemplating suicide. Guy spent long hours talking to him and thankfully his cousin is now fine. He wrote this song and it's message is for all who are suffering depression or thinking that the world would be a better place without them. Guy has had a lot of heartache in recent years. Another song (Australian Song of the Year) is Choir. This was a dedication to his friend and band member who took his own life. But Guy has made it into a celebration of his life. I have been following Guy's very successful career since he won Australia Idol in 2003 and his time as a coach on The Voice Australia. He has a beautiful voice & soul. This song was written by Guy as a tribute to his wife's brother, Andrew Egan, who lost his life to suicide due to his battle with depression. Guy also wrote a tribute song to his longtime friend and bandmate, Luke Liang, who also lost his life to suicide due to mental health issues. He started writing the song as a ballad but couldn't continue with it so changed the tempo to celebrate the life & personality of his friend. Guy Sebastian - Choir (Official)
Guy & his wife Jules founded the Sebastian Foundation in 2013 which has undertaken work in various services for young girls, domestic violence shelters, hospitals, music therapy, mentoring programs for teenagers, women who have experienced domestic violence and more.
Guy sebastian is definetly one of the best male singers in modern time in my oppinion ,he should be more notised world wide. And just like John farnham they are actually better live. Check him out singing battle scars from his home studio live performence. Freakin awsome. Same goes for this song live on the voice show.
So much of Guy's music to love, but my current favourites are Before I Go, Choir and Believer.

Although I absolutely, love this song, Believer is my fav. Guy is an amazing talent, extremely talented, emotional, artist. There is also a great video that is a mix of his songs done live on The Voice Australia. This one shows his, on stage talent too.

Wonderful reaction to this most beautiful song and performance. Guy writes heartfelt lyrics and performs them to perfection. An amazing voice and musical talent but also a straight-up great person. Hey ... if you love the piano then you will want to check out Australia's Delta Goodrem who also has a phenomenal voice, writes her own songs and sings most of them as she plays piano. I'd highly recommend Heavy or Wings.

I know everyone says to check out 'battle scars' live on the home front but honestly the original with Guy Sebastian ft Lupe Fiasco should be listened to first which has piano and a great video with a powerful multi layered message! then the home front version which is just guitar and you can appreciate both.

Not sure what to expect? I'm Sure you listened to this many times before your performance of hearing it for the "first time" . Guy is amazing and I'm sure he wouldn't like someone making money from his song without paying royalties! These types of videos are just blood suckers, making money from someone else's talent and property!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on the video. If I may, I would like to try and clear up a few misconceptions.
First of all, from the two videos I have seen I believe Guy is an incredible artist who should be recognised far and wide and if any video I react to introduces him to more people then surely that is a good thing! Right? As for your comment about hearing it for the “first time”, that is exactly what it was! I have no reason to lie and don’t really have the time to study every song first! I have just enough time to hit record, play & edit!
As for making money!! Every video I do gets copyrighted by the record label! Every single one of them! Which means the record label gets the ad revenue which is therefore passed onto the artist (hopefully)! I don’t make any money doing this, it’s just fun to do and I get to interact with a wonderful community who educate me, introduce me to new artists I would never have heard of, have been supportive and enjoy reminiscing about some of the old songs they may have forgotten about! I don’t think there is any harm in that?
I hope that helps clear up a few misconceptions about the channel, although I can’t speak for all the rest of them I suspect it is the same!

This gives artists a world wide platform that they don’t get with the record companies……it lets the people decide…..a million more people have now heard this song because of these reaction guys and you can’t buy that kind of advertising!

If I remember rite he wrote this for his wife as she suffers bad depression and it's so she knows he'll be their when she returns
He did choir wrote that for a musician friend who took his live
I seen a interview with him explaining why he wrote them
He was saying interview to bring nothing issues into the public and show people there is help out there and don't be scared to ask for help
He wrote and sung a song it for our military during covid called battle scars
Guy played it first time in his home studio live for everyone to enjoy on Anzac day where we have a national day for our vertrens to march UN the streets in unioniforms from their old battalions and public lines the streets showing their gratitude for their sacrifice of the fallen and surviving
Almost every family in Australia has lost atleast one person to war and its ingrained in us as children by our families
Guy almost write for a reason he doesn't travel out the country to much as doesn't want to leave his wife and family
Look up choir where he visits a school that had been practising his song all year and he surprises them with a visit and you get a bonus song look up choir @KIIS106.5au you'll find it on you tube you'll see he's real voice live amazing

Battle Scars was not written as a commemorative song for the Anzacs, but he did sing that fabulous acoustic version from the homefront recognising the Anzacs. The song is about the battle of love. Agree with you that Guy is amazing and there is a lot of musical talent in Aus.
