As a Tasmanian, I’m glad we got a mention 😂
Heh, I moved to Tassie from Melbourne, and now if I see 3 cars in front of me, that's heavy traffic and I think "At least I'm not in Melbourne" ;)
Did you? The thing is Victoria owns Tasmania really so you're basically one of us.
@@PseudoSarcasm You complain about traffic? Come to shitty adelaide and see the fuckin mess here.....
I was back home in Melbourne for a couple of weeks in November and had little trouble getting around the eastern and southern suburbs.
I think you're refering to that shithole further north east.
Melbourne and Perth are STILL australia's no 1 & 2 best cities to live in respectively, thats why I'm moving back home to Melbourne soon.
@@garynewton1263 I was making a joke about the lack of traffic here. House prices have gone silly in Melb though, you could buy a house for $150k 20 years ago and earn $50k a year. Pretty sure people's salaries haven't x10 since then. Kids are really going to struggle to buy a house.
@@PseudoSarcasm Yes. Agreed...........however Melbourne is still the cheapest place in Australia for electricity, gas and water costs.
Perth not far behind.
Quality of life is way better in Melbourne.
I've lived here in adelaide for 7 years coz I needed to be close to my elderly mother, passed away last year so I'm going home to melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Adelaide sucks for roads, grocery prices, take away food, shopping for clothes, utility costs, sporting events, job opportunities.
The amount of people here on drugs and who are spaced out paranoid fuckwits is astonishing.
As for weather, I'd rather have nice cool weather, rain or not over this dry barren place with relentless heatwaves.
I was in Melb in november and loved it.
Now, the only thing we have to sort out is getting the federal govt to close the borders to migrants so that us Australians can get a rental property!!!!!!!
Although it's been ten years since I watched the sun come up at Revs It makes me ridiculously happy that Revs made in not once but twice 🙌🏻
Same and its much closer to 20 years than 10 for me
@@Pheluv 😎
I think Revs needs to be inducted into some 'hall of fame'!
As a Melbournian, I absolutely approve this message
Me too
Same here
Can I ask you then, why you can't meet a Melbournian in Adelaide? Didn't get that reference. I'm here in SA now and saw many Vic number plates, especially on the beach..
How clever is Jimmy to create this and everyone, including Melbournians to find this hilarious xx
Geelongian but fk yeah, I approve too !
As a Melbournian I can confirm that this content is 100% accurate
Yep
As a Tasmanian, the feeling is mutual. At least we can actually see the sun in Winter.
…It just doesn’t have any heat in it.
F__k
What is Melbourne's greatest export since 2020? ... people. Where to? ... anywhere else, especially Queensland.
Perth next?
I have a feeling this is going to become a popular series
Dim sim from sth Melb - his smile 😂 daniel Andrews and Luna park: got it in one 😅😂😊
Love this take on Foil, Arms, & Hog immigration skits. So good and so Melbs.
And they're on their way soon yay!
I was going to say this too 😂
And I’ll be seeing them!
See you guys there! :D
Haha, few people have pointed this out and after looking them up I know I have seen their Irish video a while back but I hadn’t heard of them!!! The idea was initially gonna be a game show with the stupid questions and random answers!! Landed on the border control well coz… the old open closed borders hahaha!! Maybe some subliminal inspo in there somewhere!! Very funny lads!!
'Tell everyone it was a hard day and drink wine.' FACTS. 😅
as a melbournian, i'm so offended that i spilt oat milk coffee all over my posh desk mat
Was Foil Arms and Hog one of your influences for this video? I really like seeing this type of sketch done by a different comedian. It would be good if you attributed them as one of your inspirations
omg im so glad someone picked that up, my first thought was ‘wait, i don’t think they’ve done one for melbourne’ 😂
Dead set rip off off Foil Arms and Hog. Sorry Jimmy, yes, it's funny, but.....
It's a tip o' the hat to their upcoming arrival. Me t'inks.
Ah Foil Arms and Hog are not the first comedian/group to do a immigration/customs skit, it’s an old trope.
I married a Melbournian man. He was like a wombat. Eats, roots, and leaves. 😆
Very John Clarke / Bryan Dawe. Love it.
Have been on a recent binge, love them, there pace and timing 👌!! Genius!!
As a foreigner this described my first time in Melbourne so well .
He called Melbourne traffic horrific, obvs. not from Sydney. In fact Sydney doesn't have traffic, just long thin carparks.
I thought he was going to mention PUNT Road, aka something starting with 'C'!
To all those banging on about Foil Arms and Hog, they are not the first comedian/group to do a immigration/customs skit, it’s an old trope. The fun here is how the comedian spins the joke.
Sent this to my son in Melbourne 😂 he was wondering when I’d send it to him😂💜😍
Ex Melbournian now in Byron Bay.
But I sure miss the South Melbourne Markets. 🤔
Isn’t everyone?
Off topic- just watched the first episode of Taskmaster- LOVE IT!!!!!! I’m a huge fan of UK version- and I was worried. But it’s fabulous. Great job! Laughed so hard. Good job in the OJ.
Woohoo glad you liked it!!! Was sumo random and so fun to be apart of!! I think the whole series I can keep a straight face when Tom Gleeson gets on a roll berating people 😂😂😂
@@JimmyReesComedy Perhaps , better punchline for the last question be same answer except mentioning Canberra 🤷
It is true about criticising Sydney. You cannot put up a video about Sydney without a Melburnian saying Melbourne is better. Sydney people don't even bother on Melbourne vids.
This is true. the only person that has digs at melbourne is the NSW premier he cant stand that victoria is better
Nah… as a Melburnian I’ve lived in both cities and truly love both cities. Any Melburnian who criticizes Sydney, or vice versa, is a loser. But honestly, I have never heard this myself. I think this rivalry is an urban myth. Anyway, viva la difference! Long live both cities!
I thought them complaining about the weather was like an exaggerated internet/tv joke thing. Went there for the first time, not long back. Turns out they appear to complain even when the weather is really, really nice for some strange reason. At least that was my experience of melbourne randoms
It's cos we know that the good weather is not going to last long. If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes.....
Coz it changes so fast
Omg the Byron line had me laughing 😂 out loud
If you like Melbourne, sounds like you'd love Seattle! 😄
I have been North West Pacific Curious for a long time.
seattle is the worlds capitol of dreary weather
Ha! I’m a Seattleite, and I was thinking a lot of this hilarious bit sounds familiar.😂
Very funny, however Sydney does get a shitload more rain than us in Melbourne… just sayin’ 😂
Why have rain at all? Move to Perth.
I hate puffer jackets, and I'm a Melbournite 🤣 and I hate wine and beer, rum and whiskey anyway.
Ha Revs biggest lines in Melbourne outside and in the cubicle 😂👍🍻
As a Queensland er I have a sister who will walk past her favourite Lygon st Cafe if the wrong barista is on duty.
Melbourne least we aren't from Tasmania
Sydney least we ain't from Melbourne
Poor tassie 🤣🤣
Most people I know front the mainland all wanna be in Tassie. I get it but I guess when you live there it’s gets a bit old every now and then
@@howtofixyourtech9945 Love Tassie for a holiday but I don’t want to become a Tassie local as they’re staggeringly parochial.
@@JC-lu4se what do you mean?
@@howtofixyourtech9945 Parochial:
1.relating to a Church parish.
"the parochial church council"
2.having a limited or narrow outlook or scope.
"parochial attitudes"
You can thus deduct the parochail Tassie culture is either fundamentally Christian traditional/orthodox, and/or fundamentally narrow minded and not open to change/other cultures, as per definition above.
@@michaelr.7805 yeah I searched it up but everyone I know isn’t anything like that. It’s completely fine down here. Just way too cold 3 quarters of the year.
The Melbourne accent. I developed that one. 😄 I sound like a snobby wanker on voice recordings, but it doesn't match how I write comments on social media. 🤣
Moved to Melbourne, got a puffer 👍
I live in Geelong now. But Melb most of my life. This just makes me super proud to have lived there. 100% correct 100% proud 100% friggin awesome. The way life should be lived. I still use Aesop hahahahahahahahaha. And I'm broke which makes it even dumber. Lol still proud. On ya Jimmy
So Geelong isn't a suburb of Melbourne?
🤣
As a Victorian I find this hilarious 😂
100% thought I'd clicked on a Foil Arms & Hog video... Initially.
Even my Queenslander hubby laughed at this one !😂😂😂
Funny thing is, regardless of all this nonsense Melbourne still has the best living standards in the southern hemisphere since the 1850s followed by Perth in second place.
I much prefer the variable weather in my home of Melbourne over shitty heatwaves in shitty adelaide.
Why would anyone complain about having the Australia's best universities, libraries, gallery's, music venues, sporting venues, parks and gardens, restaurants, transport, employment, family attractions, wildlife sanctuary's and zoos?
Melbourne and Perth are STILL our two best cities to live in after 170 years, forget the rest.
After living in Melbourne for almost 4 years it’s become my second home, so this made me laugh so much as I deff became a melbournian
LOL is this a south of the Yarra thing?
There’s nothing more annoying than a sanctimonious protester! And Melbourne is full of them 😂
Must be in minority living in Melbourne but I don't drink wine or coffee nor own a puffer jacket.
I just realised I'm a Melbourne sheep🤣
I have oat milk….😂
As an ex-Melbournian I strongly approve this
Best cure for a hangover is watermelon - you can thank this melbournian tomorrow morning.
You rock that ponytail so well
Learning funny bits about Australia from Germany… I just *love* the Internet. :D (Been here since the late 80s… not UA-cam-here, of course, that one didn't exist yet :D)
Hey! I resemble that remark!
Got it in one.
Goodo! Is this the start of a new series?
Hahaha….I’ve just moved from Melbourne to Queensland………………this is funny
Bad move
Welcome! we did it a year ago. Only wish we'd done it a decade ago.
If Melbournians dislike all things about Adelaide, why are they wearing R M Williams boots?
Hilarious! 😂 will this be a new skit where you do one for each major city?
I sure hope so
Thank you for your funny skits! My brother loves your Jason Jason Jason videos
I’m going to Melbourne to see Stray Kids, I better study up haha
Melbourne had a summer in 1966?? I don't believe it!!
Coming to Melbourne, I’m just glad it’s not Perth. It’s either dry and hot or dry and cold there. I love Melbourne weather in comparison.
Had to bring up St Kilda 😢
Wow Melbourne has it all!
And… the best coffee 👍🏻
That was fantastic Jimmy👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
More More More 😂😂😂👍🏻
Wow, Melbourne hasn't really changed in 20 years has it.
foil arms and hog
Puffer jacket got me
Please tell me someone else noticed the wanker coffee 😂
And almond milk as people in Melbourne apparently think that’ll save the environment.
@@JC-lu4se I thought its because they consider cow milk torture or something
You go to answer yourself then it's the complete opposite
It's Melburnian people!
Without the O
Go saints 🔴⚪️⚫️🥴
I live in Geelong, almost choked on my snacks when I heard our mention 😂
He he..so true!
Brilliant
Poor St. Kilda 😢
Poor Melbourne!
At 1:10 - when you asked what else has been missing since 1966, I thought of Harold Holt... but that was 1967 🤣
As an Aucklander, I love this.😂
100% accurate
Spent the best part of three years there with Defence for Fires, Storms, COVID, Floods and I'd never been there before - in my experience absolutely spot on!
At least it isn't tasmania border control
You make us sound like a bunch of housewife Karen's with an alcohol problem...
Melbourne is a very arty place starts @ Hosia Pl. The parks in Melbourne are great. 👍
Be careful walking the streets in Melbourne CBD, if you don’t move fast enough the pedestrians are likely to run you over.😂
Hey, ah damn, thats unnervingly accurate, can't believe Revs got a mention.
lost my shit at vape juice
I like the South African accent
I feel judged. Factually.
Hey I'm from Melbourne and now live in Adelaide
It's ok, it's curable. There's a road back.
My childhood Legend
❤ it!! 100% well said all round 😂 I',be known so many Victorians & joke as so few of them don't do I dub them "chronic weather whinges'
As a New south welshman I’ve enjoyed many a wine in Melbourne. They are way more patient than we are. I love Melbourne🎉❤
As a Territorian, I approve this message.

I’m Tasmanian
😂
Hahahahahahaahau good job mate.
Oat milk and puffer jacket. Bahahahaha
The Yarra is known as Birrawong Marr.
No. It’s the “Yarra”.
Everything is pretty much true😂😂😂😅
Where is Melbourne's Airport?: "Tullamarine".
Where is the best surfing in Melbourne?" "Tullamarine".
GOLD!! 🤣
LOL, le 1 thing that can pick a Melbuorneian up is just ask them what le French word 4 Melbourne izs. & Lord Melbourne waz a C--T. LOL
Biggest line is outside Lune
What’s the fuss? The most overrated place I’ve ever been to. Very weird vibe as well.
@@JC-lu4se I haven't been in there. Would just walk past the huge queue every day on my walk to work
You forgot the pests of Melbourne, eshays bruh lol. Lol oat milk then end orders drink with oat milk lol. Jimmy this is best.
As an ex-Melburnian, I couldn’t help notice every-single-person was wearing a Kathmandu puffer jacket. What gives? Bunch of lemmings.
While I prefer Adelaide overall, especially with its amazing cost of living and Sydney with its amazing landmarks and things to do. Melbourne still isn’t too bad, it’s a nice place
As Geelong guy, the prison joke got me good. If I didn't live in a 10km radius of Corio, I'd sleep peacefully at night without hoons dragging on a straight road near my house.
do brisbane next
Facts that’s it just facts😊
Oh, there are people left in Melbourne? I thought they all moved to Tasmania during the lockdowns 😅
Haha, apparently Melbourne will become the most populous city in a few years!! 🥴
No, that was up, to the Territory, mainly Darwin.
