I’m 76 and still enjoy bush walking with plenty of hills , I consider my self of reasonable fitness. But watching Alan I was most impressed very impressed with his determination d his work on the exposed sections. He is very inspiring.
I've done Logan ridge before and it's no easy feat. Big congrats to Alan at the 87 years year young for achieving this mammoth task. Such a big inspiration to me, Thank you.
Fantastic story Mike 👍🏻 I’ve had the honour to have climbed Logan’s with Alby a couple of times. You truly captured the spirit and quiet respect he has for Mount Barney.
Absolute delight to watch this video. The hiking world needs a few more Alan’s 🥰 I think Allan could tell us a few stories! An inspiration to us all. Great filming, you captured the beauty of Mt Barney. Can never tire of watching this panorama.
I did this route for the 2nd time on the weekend, and my first solo. 7 hours up as I was just taking real easy. At the 11:20 mark of this video, there’s a problem where I got stuck on both ascents and I’m so glad Alan has shown me a better approach for my feet placement. Kudos👌
Hi James…I’m not aware of any names for features on the ridge apart from ones used by individuals who climb it regularly…they all seem to be different! 😀

He is most certainly! 🤗

Wow amazing what a legend. Hope I can still walk at 87 let alone hike.
Amazing indeed!
Walk? I'm hoping just to be alive still!
Very inspiring at 87…..anything is possible!
Amazing effort ! I think this is the Legend that has climbed Barney 150 times ! Hi Mike, I recognize that soothing narrator's voice of yours !
Absolutely right John. Good to hear from you...
Great work, especially with a big backpack! 👍
Thanks for sharing.

Alan is a legend alright and I'm glad to hear the vid helped in some small way. It's a great ridge and hopefully you'll be up there again...
Superb, just like a mountain goat 😊
That climb looks terrifying to me and Im half his age. What a legend.
Very impressed by old mate
He is a role model, that’s for sure!
When he turns 90 you gotta make a new video of him climbing it, probably without the backpack tho, carry his supplies for him.
I'm sure Alan will be up for it...hopefully I will be too 😂

Alan Frost has been climbing all his life and knows how to Climb Mt Barney not everybody can climb like he can
… did it solo in 1993/4 - does the round rock I passed & kept seeing as I ascended have a name? Amazing to be right next the east face too …

Logan’s is steep and exposed but this video makes it look even more scary.
So do I! 😆
Did you see mt warning
Yes Carolyn...you can see Mount Warning about three-quarters of the way up the ridge, the summit looming just above the eastern horizon...
