It's still wrong Sir coz .32 times means multiplied by .32, when actually it is supposed to be plus .32. So I guess u wanted to mention .32 more than D0 instead of .32 times.

Good question. As far as my knowledge is concerned, it's all about standardisation. I reckon the tip angle of around 75 degrees is probably given to have adequate bulk of the material at the tip and also to enable to instrument to advance in to the canal apically. We have Flex-R-file in which the angle of the instrument tip is flattened (non-cutting tip). Non-cutting tip decreases the chances for canal transportation and ledging during enlarging curved canals. Regarding increments of 5 between 10 to 60, it's to accommodate finer or narrow canals. We even have intermediate sizes (Golden medium files) such 12.5, 17.5, 22.5, 27.5, 32.5 etc which were suggested to decrease the big transition in diameter between small size instruments. So it's all about designing or incorporating features based on anatomic variations of the canals and to prevent confusion or arbitrary manufacturing of these sizes, standardisation has been incorporated.
so as i understood, the diametar of the instrument 10 on D3 for 4 % taper would be 0.1mm plus 0.04 x3 mm . i have some questions regarding this topic 1. Is the working blade is always 16 mm ? 2. How many tapers is manufactured ? you mantioned only 2 % and did not mentioned other possibilities of taper ? 3. What is about engine endodontic instruments rotary and reciproc, and how are they standardised ? can you make a video about that
