Guys stop complaining, it's his phone not mine he can do whatever with it, he's just trying to show us how durable this phone is and that's his job, so please shut up and let this guy do his thing.
Company gives him the phone = its free = value = 0 He smashes phone on the internet = 3 million views = more money than phone Conclusion hes not wasting his money. Please stop crying in the comments.
You are more than welcome to simulate a situations your phone can be in. He is testing if it is gonna scratch. Doesnt matter if its a knife or some scratching when you drop it somewhere.
Do you know how convenient for everyone, it can be if I start writing in my native language as well? Use English in videos and posts written in English...
@@TheBestCat1290 Even though it was 4 years ago I would suppose that the guy apologizing had a comment in polish he deleted and wrote this one. I dont even recall writing this though. :D :D
I should just use my HTC one as a cutting board. Then I can make this joke. Rich people problem #1: My cutting board is too small, I need to get the the tablet.
I can't even recall the amount of times my HTC One M7 has been flung across the room, after my foot gets caught on a longer charging cable as I'm getting up from the desk. Not a single scratch on the screen, at all. The entire phone is immensely durable, I am very impressed! The iPhones I have owned in the past all have had the digitiser entirely shattered.
I returned the iPhone because my friends shattered the glass of their iPhones shortly after they bought them. Repair is expensive. Apple company has opened up more repair stores after they released iPhone X because it is all glass and the chance of breakage is so very big. The company not only makes money from the phone but also from the repairs.
Bu videoyu seyrettikten sonra bu telefonu almaya karar verdim,çok sağlam,üstelik suya düşünce bile çalışmaya devam ediyor.Videoyu hazırlayanlara çok teşekkürler..thank you very much..
The HTC one is hands down the best phone I have ever owned or used and I highly recommend it. I get asked all the time what phone am I using and people are in awe over the device when I show them. I get it on: #amzn.to/1eQ34Xv
I'm impressed with the gorilla glass durability. Even a tiny scratch annoys me. I have the One Max with a glass screen protector and a clear gel soft case for good measure.
As soon as I got it my black HTC One I invested in a wallet case and a matte screen protector. Nine months later, it still looks pristine. I love this phone!
why not a drop test instead of a rubber hammer? It absorbs alot of the shock, and is alot softer than a floor. But really good someones testing the durability, please use the floor it would give a better feeling of what it is capable of
Some metal are made with smooth surface. Maybe you could you test it with sandpaper. Lets see how tough those glass. I prefer using screen guard for my htc one.
I dropped mine while walking my dogs, I walked another two miles before I noticed it was no longer in my pocket. I retraced my steps and found it in the middle of a street, it had fallen face down and was run over by a huge truck right before I got to it. It had clearly been run over many times before that. I picked it up and found the only damage was the obliterated screen. I received a text message right after I picked it up. Pretty darn resilient. I only had a hard gel case on the back of it.
I have the HTC double dip case on my phone. I just put the case on yesterday and it messes up my screen protector so I took the protector off. I've had my phone for almost a year and no scratches. Now that the screen protector is off should I be worried? I've never dropped a phone and its kept in its own pocket.
I wouldn't be worried. As long as your case edges out of the screen (like a lip), you are good to go. Out of all my phones I have just used a case and no screen protector because the lip can handle all drops and gorilla glass is VERY durable in everyday life.
I had screen protector in the beginning. The screen protector showed finger marks, dirt, and ugly. So I removed it. For 4 years, the screen is beautiful, no scratch, if any finger prints are shown, just wipe it clean.
Can anyone tell me one thing? How does this screen survive so much in this video, when MY FUCKIN PIECE OF SHIT HTC ONE M8 GOT SCRATCHED IN MY FUCKIN POCKET WITH A SINGLE FUCKIN KEY IN IT?
Tech i Think you missed the point. Htc one wins a lot of design Awards and they spent a lot of money telling us just how beautiful it is. If you need to put a casing around it an clue om extra class, then it's not really the phone that they tried to sell you. And why is it our responsibility? Why are we not demanding that a Company like htc makes a good enough product that does need to have a lot of accesories just to keep it functional?
I had this phone since June 2013. I got a case with it, but it had no grip to it and slid outta my hand more often than without a case. Still, I've managed to drop my phone thousands of times on concrete, in water, etc. The screen is just as fresh as it was the day I got it. The edges are pretty dinged up, but I don't care cuz it just shows how resilient it is. I may even bypass the M8 and keep this till the M9 comes out.
*NOBODY YOU IDIOT!!!* He's only testing the durability of the phone just in case you drop it or scratch it on a rough surface. Based on all the subscribers you get, and the content on your channel, I would expect more sense out of you.
Good test. No one carries a knife in their pocket - the test is to show what damage if any, sharp objects may cause to the phone if a case is not used! I can't believe how literal people take these videos. Think outside the box...
Well to the uneducated Glass consists of mostly SiO2 (silica) so anything that is as hard as SiO2 can scratch it. Sand and dirt contain SiO2 and other ceramic minerals. Metals come in a very wide range of hardnesses but, in general, metals will not scratch glass. And... a soft metal can certainly get a piece of sand embedded in the surface and that can then scratch glass.
Awesome vid. Thanks for that. I've read some reviews on this phone talking about internal damage. Damage like speakers stop working & such. From short distance drops. Did you or anyone else notice anything like this? Any internal damage in the HTC one??
I appreciate these tests because my wife threw my Xperia Ray (she has BP disorder) onto the bed and it hit a Gobbler sweet which is quite hard and the screen instantly cracked and the phone is a brick.
For everyone that's thinking he's psycho for doing this to his phone, he's trying to show people how derable it is. The hammer is for when you drop it for ex 5 ft up like he said and the knife was just to show how much the screen can handle. I actually liked this video bc I have an HTC one and I'm glad I know that the screen isn't supposed to scratch or get damaged very easily.
got one days ago, was gonna return it for S4 galaxy because of the non-removable battery stuff but didn't due to the $50 restocking fee. Seeing this video, am glad I kept it
After the hammering part, I wasn't sure if the HTC One I got, was fake or something. I dropped my from 25cm from the ground yesterday, landed on the back of it, the screen cracked, it's a 3 weeks old phone, how sad could that be. :(
I have an HTC One (with insurance, luckily). I've bought a leather pouch after a week, thinking it needs protection. Three days later, I took it out of my pocket with the wrong end of the pouch facing downwards, thus causing the phone to hit the floor. The damage was not too bad, but the metal got distorted a little bit, and it really just breaks the beautifully smooth design.
Hahaha!! My husbands HTC accidentally fell down a couple a days back and theres a big scratch across the screen! And it had a protective cover as well.. So go figure!! XD
a lil bit too extreme but im my job i have just one pocket on my chest. and such tests really help me out as i have knives, pens, coins and razors floating free around the pocket.
"Yah just something to keep in mind next time" yaaaah because next time I start cutting my phone with a knife I'll remember that they will leave some scratches. Thanks for the warning
I'm sorry, but this is really bugging me. People need to learn their tools... It is NOT a Plastic Hammer, it is a RUBBER MALLET! how does he get money by people seeing his vdeos

Yes, something to keep in mind: If you accidentally stab your phone with a knife there MAY be a scratch. #WTF
You are more than welcome to simulate a situations your phone can be in. He is testing if it is gonna scratch. Doesnt matter if its a knife or some scratching when you drop it somewhere.

Htc one is a beautiful phone. I have it and now I feel so happy that for once I've picked a phone that's got solid build quality!!
I can't even recall the amount of times my HTC One M7 has been flung across the room, after my foot gets caught on a longer charging cable as I'm getting up from the desk.
Not a single scratch on the screen, at all. The entire phone is immensely durable, I am very impressed! The iPhones I have owned in the past all have had the digitiser entirely shattered.
iPhone users probably sit with popcorn enjoying this..
You probably have an IPhone or really like Apple, but my opinion is that an iPhone is not more resitant and the screen is scratching easierly.
Sony Z2 really beat the hell out of iPhone if you're talking bout durability ..
Hahaha yeah your right André Bertel
André Bertel nah iPhones are for little schoolgirls.

this videos is really helpful . cause im scratching the edges on a daily usage. and a hammer every weekened .
STOP!!! STOP!!! STOP!!! your ruining the knife

Hey guys. i am going to buy a HTC One. what s your opinion? is it good to use????
OH.MY.GOD stop harrasing HTC One

How is a key scratch test realistic? Only complete idiots keep their phone in the same pocket as their keys!!!
i think im an idiot then :O
***** me to :/

pacovl46 to be fair, there are people that do dumb crap like that >_< I can't fathom why they do it though.
When do we try the gun test?
I'm impressed with the gorilla glass durability. Even a tiny scratch annoys me. I have the One Max with a glass screen protector and a clear gel soft case for good measure.
Best smartphone ever. Even in 2015. Maybe m10 will surpass this one.
Think I'll go knife my phone today!
As soon as I got it my black HTC One I invested in a wallet case and a matte screen protector. Nine months later, it still looks pristine.
I love this phone!
So don't get in a knife fight with the HTC One.
why not a drop test instead of a rubber hammer?
It absorbs alot of the shock, and is alot softer than a floor.
But really good someones testing the durability, please use the floor it would give a better feeling of what it is capable of
it's actually a rubber mallet! :)
ahh :)
Thats a little better
Read my post. I dropped it on brick walkway, cement driveway, tiled bathroom floor numerous times. My phone is M9.
I always watch these before getting a new phone because it's one thing to have a popular and a good phone
Some metal are made with smooth surface. Maybe you could you test it with sandpaper. Lets see how tough those glass. I prefer using screen guard for my htc one.
very good!
you should try dropping it from a building and see if it scratches
thankyou phone buff now when my grandma sleep cooks I'll make sure her HTC has a case
Who would scratch a phone wit a nife
Probably a crazy person would do such a thing. R.I.P phone :c.
The phone is not going to like you any more ;-)

HTC is the best telephone ever

+MrStachu990 iphone skid

+MrStachu990 no
Interesting test. If I am ever attacked by a serial killer with a steak knife, I'll know what will happen to my phone.
My key scratched my screen on the second day I had the phone. This seems fake
Can anyone tell me one thing? How does this screen survive so much in this video, when MY FUCKIN PIECE OF SHIT HTC ONE M8 GOT SCRATCHED IN MY FUCKIN POCKET WITH A SINGLE FUCKIN KEY IN IT?
not being funny if you put your phone in the same pocket as your phone then you are asking for it to be scratched
Thehumannewman > If you put the phone in the same pocket as your phone
He has two phones? Got them fat stacks.
the same thing happen to me. had the htc one in my pocket and my keys = broken glass.
why would you not put a screen protector? I don't keep anything in the same pocket as my phone, but wtf lol. 20 bucks. Protect your investment.

nobody...
me
cool tests! and i'm not surprised a steel knife would scratch (cut into) an aluminum phone, lol.
I guess u should try that with bigger hammer, not one made out of rubber...

when i drop it , my screen broken ! i hate HTC
no, you should hate yourself for dropping it and if you really need something else to blame, blame gravity.
oh so many candidates for the Annual Darwin awards...
iazooz, you're probably even too dumb too poop
If you did it within 6 months of purchase HTC offers 1 screen replacement for free. Give HTC a call, they are my favorite manufacturer.
How can you hate HTC for that .its your fault you dropped it
Interesting video but I've got to say, you talk too much.
I was actually eager and was waiting for him to smash the phone with the mallet.
XD
is it just me or does this guy talk to much ...
i dropped my htc one from knee level with a case on and my heart stopped, this man on the other hand...
wow these tests are so relevant. ive always wanted to know how my phone would hold up if i stabbed it with a knife or dropped a hammer on it.
Me : *Gonna chop this carrots
*look for the chopping board and its missing

Mom: We have techrax at home.

STOP! This is my second favourite phone.
very very nice, i like your method of test . i appreciate you . keep continue.

OMG! I Was like: "no! Don't even think to do it! NOnononooo... " but then NOTHING HAPPEND! :D incredible
so does this mean I can rip the plastic screen protector off my otterbox defender case?
اكيد !
what you expect, you can't get a phone immune to everything...
I am still in shock at how my phone, with an Otterbox Case on, completely shattered from only a three foot drop.
EEKS !
I promised my HTC I would never do this it.
It's a hammer head made up of rubber! :D LOL.
My heart is in pain, after I watched this video! I love my HTC one !
I Love my HTC one :)!
I watched this with my HTC then I stabbed it with a kitchen knife it went through.... man I love science!!!
Lol I guess I used to be one of those idiots who kept their phone with their keys hehe. Have a few hairline scratches
Guys his profile is based on these kinds of tests. I'm sure he's sponsored by companies to show us this.
I'm sorry, but this is really bugging me. People need to learn their tools... It is NOT a Plastic Hammer, it is a RUBBER MALLET! You should be a hand model. Haha
Stay Tuned, Next up, Poor Starving African Kid, Hammer and Knife Scratch Test. See how it compares to expensive smartphones.
you guys who are saying the you have to work for money,so does he!the reason for this video is to help you,to find out how scratch resistant it is,so stop complaining he works like you ok,this is for your benifit!thanks
It's to show how much resistance the screen can take. You are the reason aliens don't talk to us.
and i magically have two scratches in my phone from taking it out of my pocket.
thank god someone tested the htc one with a hammer, now i know the hammer i carry in my pocket wont effect it.
It was a bad idea going drinking with this phone without a case. It's all scratched now :/
Well im never going to attack my phone with a kitchen knife, of course its going to scratch.
I think this is pretty interesting, cuz the phone actually survived the keys and the first hammer drop.
