Died way too young, should have been a granddad entering his golden years by now. RIP Steve
Steve had a gift that wasn't entirely unwrapped and we as Def Leppard fans are less for it. I hope now Steve that wherever you may be you have found the peace you so longed for here on earth.
Gift that was never totally unwrapped said perfectly. Makes you wonder all the music that we never got to hear. Buried with one of tge greatest songwriters ever
Def Leppard were never the same after Steve's death . We still miss you man . Rest in Peace Steven . You will live forever in our minds .
And still listening in 2022.............
Well, he wrote most of their songs, so it only makes sense.
RIP Man. You didn't deserve what you got.
Alchol had too strong hold on him. He's not the first won't be the last. 😢
Was his choice.
R.I.P Steve 'White lightning' Clark
I met Steve right after he got out of rehab in Minnesota, when i lived in Vero Beach Florida, he was dating a friend of mine then who is also now deceased whose family owned a popular car dealership. I remember seeing many of his guitars that were at my friends home. I drove around with him in the back of my car for hours while he slept. He died a short time later after returning to London.....he kept me sober that day!
Omg thank you fit sharing that story😢
Played photograph and Bringin' on the Heartbreak last night. My 10 year old son recognizes Bringin' on the Heartbreak 'cause I play it so often on my acoustic. Your music lives on Steve, in a budding generation.
RIP SMC. You are missed "Riffmaster".
I always play run riot, photograph, me and my wine and riding into the sun. Btw watch the music video for me and my wine. It is halarious.
Amazing guitarist. Will never be forgotten. RIP Steve.
A soul too beautiful for this world.
"Switch 625" = Top 10 greatest instrumental songs of all time......
Love that tune, listen to it on repeat all the time
Pete and Steve!!!!
THE Top best instrumental song in my opinion. Steve Clark was a legend, then, now, and forever.
🇬🇧🎸❤️
RIP precious Steve... 31 years gone today, forever loved, forever missed... 🥺💔 x
Def Leppard lost some of their magic by the untimely death of Steve Clark. An amazing guitarist and performer in the world's best and most inspiring rock band. I can't believe it is 24 years ago today, he passed away and he is truly missed. Thanks for all the good times and the many great songs and unique guitar riffs. Rest in peace, my friend.
Sadly Steve will always be gone but the good news is that he will never be forgotten
Steve was definitely the soul of Def Leppard. I will always remember him. Such a great inspiration and talent.
Thank you so much for all the amazing riffs, licks and your mind-blowing stage performance
R.I.P. Wing Commander 'Steamin' 🤘🏻🎸
I'm so glad I got to see him play live.
I bet he's glad that you got to.
Now he see's his entire audience every day ❤🕊
He was the guitar sound of Def Leppard.
I still don't understand how he played so flawlessly with that guitar around his ankles..... Saw him live once, and I am proud to say I did. RIP Steve!
Steve Clark was Bad Ass!!!
+Chris Mitchell he will always be
+Chris Mitchell he will always be
Most def, man that Les Paul was LOW ;)
Chris Mitchell he was the greatest. ..God he could play...rip steve...left way to soon..
The pain of losing him will never go away for so many of us.
Happy Birthday, Steve. 🎂 I love you. ❤❤❤
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVE! 🎂
I LOVE YOU MY SWEETIE! 😚
I love that beautiful face and smile, you still sound and play amazing in my eyes. I love you Steve, You send chills down my spine. Your my MCM, rest in paradise angel face 😭😢💔
Dont know about you guys but that live Gods of War intro Steve did on the Hysteria tour sends chills down my spine...
I still try to see them each year. With all they've been thru how do you not at the very least have massive respect!
BirdieGirlAZ Same here, Leppard has a special place in my music collection, amazing musicians. Going to be seeing them for the third time, 6th row stage left on May 5th 2015, cant wait!
Brad L well I'm jealous!
For me it was the Die Hard The Hunter Intro which isn't featured in this video.
Brad Lambier it was so beautiful to me. Still is. Brings tears to my eyes now with those chills. I miss him SO much still. I do like Viv, but it took me a long while to warm up to him. He's GREAT. But there will never be another Steve Clark. I'm glad however that the band were able to carry on without him and keep making great music. ❤❤❤
We love you, Steve. You’re greatly missed.
Best guitar player ever!!!!
How I miss this Man, ..today more than 30 years!! Thankx Steve I Love R&R by You!!
Absolutely loved Steve Clark back then like it was yesterday and still love that HOTTIE. Best guitar player and best songwriter!
My heart skipped a beat that fateful day when Steve passed. What an awesome talent & guitar player Def Leppard fans we where blessed with one of the greats a legend Steve you will never be forgotten
When I heard about it, I said oh no! What will they do now? 😔
Happy Birthday Steve! :)
Aye, you're here ❤️🤘 much love and respect.
It gives me shivers every time I hear Mr. Steve Clark's guitar solo at the end... profound as the ocean! - THE RIFF MASTER 🤘🏼🎸🔥
I really truly miss you Steve.. The only other man I've ever met or known to be as humble and soft spoken as you was our friend Randy Rhoads. The world of music and your band won't ever be the same without your compositions, style and all your guitar playing. Happy Birthday My Brother.. o;-)
Been little rough literally on the road in the streets the last five months but yes both Steve and Randy where both friends but as you know for a very short time. Randy was able to give me some guitar lessons when he was playing in his band Quiet Riot for a few months before Ozzy swooped him up to write and record Blizzard of Oz. His death was an accident and huge loss for all of us like Steve Clark and friend of Randy's as well. Sadly Steve seemed to drink even more after Rhoads died while on tour and unfortunately it took him away from the band he started as a teenager Def Leppard.. o;-(
Don't get on Google+, Facebook or Twitter much ***** but when I do, I usually post videos and photos of all the people, bands & music that had inspired me to learn how to play guitar. I do this only to influence and inspire others to pick up and play guitar. There is a lot of information that has never been released or printed by the press to the public about "film stars" and "rock stars" because they are not and never close enough to them on a personal level like some of us or have been in the past. Those little details that makes many people in general and limelight even more interesting when read or heard about.
For example my first roommate when I moved up to Hollywood was this guy a guitar player called Saul Hudson. We shared a very large two bedroom two story apartment with a couple of sexy Seventh Veil strippers off of La Brea Blvd and Sunset Boulevard just across from A&M Recording Studios. We had both auditioned for a band called that was calling themselves Poison but we both declined to wearing makeup and their Glam Band "Queenie" fashion at the time. He became known amongst friends as "Slash" and then even more known to the public in his own band that David Geffen saw perform once and signed called "Guns 'n' Roses".
This guy was a shredder! He had beautiful Les Paul's!!! RIP!
He had one of the coolest styles in rock music. He WAS the signature sound of Def Leppard.
Happy Heavenly Birthday Steve!🎸🥀Never ever forgotten....
I'm still missing this guy.
The Legendary Steve Clark! Will never be forgotten ♥
29 years ago he died.. He'll never be forgotten, he was the best guitarist of all time. Keep playing your Gibson up there in heaven, Steve!

Such a great guy.
Deserves to be in peace after all.
Love from Brazil. 🤘
such a beautiful soul and such a beautiful band
Just *TOO DAMNED COOL...* Steve Clark R.I.P...
51 years old. I was blown away when Def Leppard came on the scene. My first exposure was MTV. Photograph was in heavy rotation (about once ever half hour). I actually had to go back and track down their earlier music (long before the internet). Steve Clark wrote such amazing riffs. The band is still great, but to loose such an important piece and still move forward is a tribute to Steve and to the other members.
Today is my 24th birthday, and I'm definitely proud to share a birthday with one of my favorite guitarists ever :D
hey. you've turned 30 week ago?
Thank you Steve for being a total badass! I don't know what I'd do without hearing your influence and your style you had with Def Leppard. Die Hard The Hunter is a masterpiece thanks to you!
I missing you Steve 💗💗🎸🇬🇧🇧🇷
Rest In Peace up Anove Heaven. Truly Amazing Music artist. Fans always Remember Him. Thanks 🙏
Remembering A Guitar Legend! I miss him! but I will keep him alive always! I own Historia and In The Round In your face on DVD! I watch it all the time! When I want to see my Favorite Def Leppard Guy Steve Clark play his cool guitars and do tricks with his guitars! He will always be remembered and live in our hearts! He will always be with Def Leppard! I am also getting a 1987 Hysteria Tour shirt of him with Def Leppard! I am going to wear it in memory of my Favorite Def Leppard guy Steve! I am also getting a Def Leppard photo of Steve with the band! Steve will always be remembered always!
The guy died on my 18th birthday and i was devastated. Dave Lee Travis on BBC Radio 1 played two Leppard songs and then shocked me by saying they were in memory of Steve Clark who was found dead at his home in Chelsea. An amazing talent with great melodic style. Missed so much. Leppard are just not as good without him.
I’d turned 18 a month before and remember DLT doing that, I was devastated! I’d seen them at Monsters of Rock and after hearing Steve had died I thought ‘they’ll never be the same’ he was incredible. Phenomenal stage presence.
I couldn’t imagine.. I was born 6 years after his passing and still couldn’t believe it. I commemorate his legacy by sharing their music everyday.
Steve you are missed !!!! HAPPY B-DAY
Will never forget Steve Clark!Def Leppard is ultimately my most favorite band of all time!Love all the guys!Come back to Cleveland please!

I was 10 and I seen it for the first time between USA's... UP, All Night ! horror show lol
2 horror movies with 2 rock videos in between with commercials for an intermission.
Flash forward to Christmas that year and I got the cassette in my stocking lol
CHANGED MY FREAKIN LIFE .
40+ years later and it is STILL Christmas music in my home ! lol
That riff followed by that Thunder God beat... 🤩😮😍
R.I.P Steve Clarke, gone but never forgotten.
Steve Clark and def Leppard are forever going to be loved
In Hysteria He contributed so much to an album that sold millions that has been listened to by so many people and will be still there many years to come The guitar work in Hysteria is pretty unique and amazing
He was the heart and soul of Def Leppard. When he died Def Leppard died. He wrote their music and had an iconic sound.
Never see his talent again ,he done more in his short 30 years than some in 100 ,let's always honour him
Happy Birthday Steve Clark. I will never forget you!

Forever a gloriously talented young man. Thank you for the tunes mate, must be one hell of a party up there 🙌
Yeah he's getting to jam with Eddie Van Halen that's my silver lining
one of my favorite guitarists
I got the chance through work to pay homage at his grave yesterday, such a 'normal' grave I may add, still, the plectrums on the headstone confirmed my adulation for an incredible guitarist, Rock in peace fella 🎸🎸
He is irreplaceable!! 😌🎸⚡ White Lighting ❤
Happy birthday Steven Maynard Clark. You'll always be remembered.
He will remain the coolest guitarist on stage! His style and presence was beyond imagination.
Steve Clark should be in the top 10 guitarist of all time in rock history

this is the best guy! had so much potential...died before he met it! love you Steve! your craft is so enourmous!
One of the Saddest Days of my life! Knowing He'd passed was way too sad! RIP,Steve!
I heard it over the radio, I cried ...very sad day indeed...
Thats one damn good guitarist!
You will never be forgotten, always in our hearts and ears ;)
Steve was so melodic! I like Phil, but Steve was my favorite. Saw them in 1988 in Houston,Tx - the Summit. Tesla opened. Freshmen year. Good times. :)
Happy Birthday Steve, wherever you are
Born in '98 I never had the chance to see the great man live, but I've always idolised him. He was the reason I picked up the guitar. I saw that clip of his solo in the round, and my 8 year old mind was truly blown away. THAT was the moment I knew what I wanted in life, to be like Steve Clark. I even grew my hair out and tried the whole 80s poofy hairstyle thing (although that was just a phase 🤣) and I can absolutely hear his influence in my playing. Now aged 23 I still watch him playing in absolute amazement. He wasn't the fastest or most technical guitar player, he was no Van Halen, but he didn't have to be, he had his own style.
He could make his guitar wail, sing and cry all in the same song. Not many people can do that.
God bless him. Gone too soon. Alcohol truly is a bastard.
RIP Steve Clark....i like his style and sound when playing guitar.....
Legend.
Whoever disliked this video and gave it a thumbs down is obviously a one direction loving arse with no music taste. R.I.P Steve.
Hahaha I agree, can't stand one direction because def leppard is better
Where’s the correlation between not liking this video and liking one direction? These type of comments are some of the most ignorant and childish things you can find on UA-cam, grow yo ass up
God speed Steve. Rockin heaven down
Jose Bustamante pretty sure it’s a joke and who ever disliked this vid is prob just some kid who hates all music that’s not from his generation which so many kids are like that and it’s such a shame. Why can’t we all just love what ever music we like and who cares what year its made. my daughter loves 1D but she also loves a lot of my era of music too, she absolutely loves 80s music 🤘😝which is awesome. She takes after me and loves all sorts of music. I ain’t no 1D fan but I can appreciate their boy band music for this generation. I love all sorts of music and have respect to all music. #different strokes for different folks 🎧 🎵 🎶
those 28 dislike are reguetoneros, raperos, camioneros, y carretoneros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, jajajajajajajaja
Although I was only 11 when Steve died, his brilliance still lives on. If I could play with a third of the heart and soul of Steve I'd be a happy man. Although Vivian is a great artist in his own right, Steve's death created a void that is nearly impossible to hear. From a huge Leppard fan....thanks for the music Steve!
Rest in peace Steve. You are never far from my thoughts. I miss you. X
He was my favorite of the band and Im still saddened knowing he was taken from us much too soon. RIP Steve Steamin' Clark 💕
R . I . P. STEVE. An Amazing guitar player
